Full text linkUnit Jawatankuasa Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan di bawah Pengajian Kejuruteraan Awam (PKA) yang juga dikenali sebagai PKA Sub-JKKP, UiTM Cawangan Pulau Pinang telah berjaya menganjurkan Audit Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan pada 24 September 2021. Audit ini adalah selaras dengan akta yang termaktub di dalam Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994 Akta 154. la melibatkan keseluruhan 15 makmal di bawah seliaan PKA iaitu Makmal Geoteknik 1 dan 2, Makmal Geologi, Makmal Lebuhraya dan Lalulintas, Makmal Ukur, Makmal Alam Sekitar 1 dan 2, Makmal Hidraulik, Makmal Perkhidmatan Bangunan 1 dan 2, Makmal Struktur Ringan 1 dan 2, Makmal Struktur Berat, Makmal Konkrit dan Bilik IDP. Seramai 11 orang auditor dilantik terdiri daripada auditor luar dan auditor dalaman dari pelbagai fakulti di UiTM Cawangan Pulau Pinang. Lima orang auditor luar yang terlibat ialah En. Amer Heberd Abdullah dari Fakulti Sains Kesihatan (FSK), En. Halim Ghafar dari Pengajian Kejuruteraan Mekanikal (PKM), En. Rizal Jusoh dari Pengajian Kejuruteraan Elektrik (PKE), En. Sharaf Ahmad dari Jabatan Sains Gunaan (JSG) dan Ustaz Ahmad Termizi Ab Lateh dari Akademi Pengajian Islam Kontemporari (ACIS). Auditor dalaman pula adalah terdiri daripada staf PKA iaitu Ir. Ts. Implementation of KH Ahmad Dahlan's educational thoughts in the merdeka curriculum
Full text linkThis research aims to see how the thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan are implemented in the kurikulum merdeka that is being promoted by the government through KEMDIKBUDRISTEK. The research method used is a literature review where the author collects data on the educational thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan, independent curriculum and discusses how it is implemented. The results of the study show that the thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan are implemented in the independent curriculum in several aspects including: in the education system, namely the integration of religious and Scientific knowledge curricula, in the aspect of educational goals, namely the formation of students who are religiously knowledgeable and intelligent in insight and scientific views which are reflected in the Pancasila student profile, in terms of technical implementation, namely indications of pending development of educational implementation, in terms of learning methods namely contextual learning which is reflected in intracurricular and cocurricular learning models on independent curriculum. In addition to these four aspects, both KH Ahmad Dahlan and the concept of independent curriculum focus on developing students both individually and socially. The implication of this research is the formation of educational institutions that truly become an answer to the needs of students in facing the development of time, not just schools as a formality to get a diploma. As for educators, they should be more open-minded so that they are ready to develop and ready to become a solution for student development

Smart-Med Bottle with Clever-Twist Cap (CTC) / Jasmin llyani Ahmad, Marlia Idrus and Haziah Sa'ari
Full text linkThis invention relates to an improved medicine bottle and its cap. The objective of this invention is to facilitate users in order to pour liquid medicine in an intelligent way. It is made in such a way that the patient or user did not have to pour the medicine on related accessories such as the measurement spoon, measurement cup or syringe separately. The cap was improved by combining the push-pull cap and measuring cup preferably moulded in one piece called Clever-Twist Cap (CTC). While the bottle namely Smart-Med Bottle, is improvised in terms of the maximum ability to grab and hold easily due to the dotted texture on its surface and the bottle shape such that the hand wraps completely around the bottle. Besides, with the non-slippery bottle surface, users can grip the bottle in an effective way. In order to consume the medicine, patient or user just need to pull out the closure cap, turn down the Smart-Med Bottle and twist the Clever-Twist Cap (CTC) to be rotated in a counter-clockwise to allow the liquid medicine to flow through the pouring neck to the measurement cup to get the correct amount of medicine required. Then, to stop the flow the user just twists back the cap in an anti-clockwise direction. Patient or users then can pull up the push-pull cap to direct consume the medicine. The use of Smart-Med Bottle with CTC has commercialization potential where it can save space and cost due to unnecessary related accessories. Overall, with the improvised characteristics such as portable, safe, clean and user friendly make this invention suitable for all range of users or patient

Full text linkThis research aims to describe the value contained in the poem of Sayed Idrus bin Salim Aljufri and the implication of poem value of Sayed Idrus bin Salim Aljufri on character education. Type of research is qualitative research. The data used were qualitative from poem of Sayed Idrus bin Salim Aljufri. Technique of collecting data there are three that is, documentation, recording and interview. Data analysis techniques are descriptively inductive. The research results show that there were 11 values contained in the verse of Sayed Idrus bin Salim Aljufri namely the values of education, social, religious, philosophy, historical, psychological, economic, moral, legal, cultural, and struggle. The implications of poetry value in character education, among others, the value of education implies with self that includes motivation to study, love science, logical thinking, critical, creative and innovative. Social values have implications for self and sesame in the form of hard work, good manners and good speech. Religious values imply on the relationship with God Almighty in the form of thoughts, words and actions pursued based on the value of the Deity / religious teachings. The value of philosophy implies self-love of knowledge. Historical value implies the fellow and the environment that is appreciating the work and achievements of others; attitudes and role models prevent damage to the natural environment surrounding. The value of psychology has implications for itself in the form of responsible attitudes. The economic value implies itself as an entrepreneurial spirit. The moral values implicated in them are honest and polite. The value of the law has implications for the relationship with God Almighty and to others who obey the social rules. The culture value has the own implications in the form of hard work, courteous and appreciate the work of others. The value of struggle has implications of national and nationalist values

Full text linkFinishing is the most important part of manufacturing furniture process. The benefits of finishing are to give protection and attractive appearance on product itself. Finishing has two stages that are pre-finish and fully finish. Pre-finish is a preparation of surface product where it is must keep the product surface clean from dust, dirt, or any unwanted particle before applying the coating material. At this stage, sandpaper was also used to give smoothness to the product surface. Fully finish is a process of applying coating on the product. In this study, two types of system applying coating are used to compare the effect of finishing properties of a coffee table from Kelempayan. For system A, the process of sanding and sealer was repeated four times. Meanwhile, for system B, the process of sanding and sealer was repeated six times. The coating material use in this study is acid catalyst lacquer. The tests that have done are heat resistance test, household chemical resistant test, tape adhesion test and surface roughness test. Based on the results, its shows that the six layers of sanding sealer process give better results than four layers. But four layers are enough and more recommended because of saving cost and more economical
Developing Guidebook of Sexual Violence Prevention and Control in Universitas Ahmad Dahlan
Full text linkHigher education should be a safe and comfortable place for students to receive education. However, in reality, many cases of sexual violence occur in the university environment. Many victims of sexual violence do not dare to report the incident to the authorities. Meanwhile, some victims who have reported their cases have not received a resolution to the problems they complained about. Based on the results of a student needs survey, as many as 64.7% of students need a guidebook for preventing and controlling sexual violence. Based on the survey results, the author aims to research and develop a guidebook for preventing and controlling sexual violence. After going through four stages of R&D 4D model, this guidebook contains the background, scope, juridical and empirical studies, and mechanisms for preventing and controlling sexual violence. Based on the results of media expert validation tests, this book obtained an Index Aiken’s V Coefficient of 0.81 which is in the high category. Meanwhile, the results of material expert validation tests show that the Index Aiken’s V Coefficient of this book is 0.83, which is also included in the high category. This guidebook will be used as a reference in realizing efforts to prevent and overcome sexual violence in the higher education environment, especially at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan
