Impact of a cultural immersion experience on high school students' perceptions of self and identity

This study analyzed aggregated data from the Global Perspectives Inventory and also qualitatively analyzed student's reflections about their time abroad through the use of a 10-question guided interview. The assessment tools aided the author in concluding that the participants' experiences influenced their perceptions of self and identity

Pengaruh Hambatan Samping Terhadap Kinerja Ruas Jalan Medan – Banda Aceh (Terminal Idi) di Kota Idi Rayek

The purpose of this study was to determine traffic volume, road capacity, and the effect of side barriers on the performance of the Medan-Banda Aceh road (Terminal Idi) in the city of Idi Rayeuk. The data used for primary and secondary data. The method used is the 1997 Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI). Based on the field observations for 6 hours of research day during peak hours, peak conditions occur on Monday 06 September 2021 at 07.15-08.15 WIB which a volume of 626 pcu/hour, whit a road capacity of 1410.75 pcu/hour/1 direction, an average instantaneous speed of 23.9 km/hour, and a degree of saturation of 0.44 and the free flow speed is 47.70 km/hour. With the side obstacle weight factor on Monday 426 the weight of the incident is categorized as M (medium).Idi Rayek telah membuat Langkah besar di bidang bisnis, pendidikan, dan pariwisata. Seiring meningkatnya kebutuhan transportasi kotamadya mengakibatkan kepadatan arus lalu lintas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh volume lalu lintas, kapasitas jalan, dan hambatan samping terhadap kinerja Jalan Medan – Banda Aceh (terminal Idi) di Kota Idi Rayek. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Metode yang digunakan adalah Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (MKJI) 1997. Berdasarkan pengamatan lapangan selama enam jam per hari pada jam puncak lalu lintas, kondisi puncak terjadi pada hari Senin, 12 September 2022 pukul 07:15 s.d. 08.15 WIB dengan volume 626 SMP/jam dan kapasitas jalan 1410,75 smp/jam/satu arah, kecepatan sesaat rata-rata terendah 23,9 km/jam, tingkat kejenuhan 0,44 dan kecepatan arus bebeas 47,70 km/jam. Comparisons of full correlation analysis (FCA) and imaging Doppler interferometry (IDI) winds using the Buckland Park MF radar
Get PDF© European Geosciences Union 2004We present results from three years of mesospheric and thermospheric wind measurements obtained using full correlation analysis (FCA) and imaging Doppler interferometry (IDI) for the Buckland Park MF radar. The IDI winds show excellent agreement with the FCA winds, both for short (2-min) and longer term (hourly, fortnightly) comparisons. An extension to a commonly used statistical analysis technique is introduced to show that the IDI winds are approximately 10% larger than the FCA winds, which we attribute to an underestimation of the FCA winds rather than an indication that IDI overestimates the wind velocity. Although the distribution of IDI effective scattering positions are shown to be consistent with volume scatter predictions, the velocity comparisons contradict volume scatter predictions that the IDI velocity will be overestimated. However, reanalysis of a 14-day data set suggests the lack of overestimation is due to the radial velocity threshold used in the analysis, and that removal of this threshold produces the volume scatter predicted overestimation of the IDI velocities. The merits of using hourly IDI estimates versus hourly averaged 2-min IDI estimates are presented, suggesting that hourly estimated turbulent velocities are overestimated.D. A. Holdsworth and I. M. Reviews the film, The Last King of Scotland directed by Kevin Macdonald (2006). This is an intense film with an outstanding portrayal of Idi Amin, the legendary and infamous president of Uganda. Director Kevin Macdonald mixes fact with fiction in this film adaptation of British author Giles Foden\u27s (1998) best selling novel. The film foregrounds the story of Scottish doctor Nicholas Garrigan\u27s awakening to the complex and brutal reality that colonial occupation has left as its legacy to Africa. This movie is beautifully filmed on location in Uganda. The texture of urban and rural community life are presented in the film. Macdonald does an exceptional piece of work illustrating the fear and insecurity that became a way of life for Ugandans under Amin\u27s government as thousands of people disappeared. The character Garrigan awakens to the brutal reality and tries to escape Uganda alive. Idi Amin\u27s dissolution to evil is essential to see in this film. The story captures the imagination and mesmerizes the viewer. Essentially, the evil that transformed Amin\u27s character is wickedness that lives on in the evil deeds of others. Tafsir aqo’idi merupakan salah satu gaya tafsir yang turut mewarnai khazanah keilmuan dalam bidang tafsir. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk mengkaji tafsir gaya aqo’idi sebagai upaya menambah wawasan dan pemahaman tentang sejarah lahirnya tafsir gaya aqo’idi serta memahami berbagai dinamikanya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan tinjauan pustaka untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Tafsir \u27Aqoidi merupakan tafsir yang menggunakan pendekatan teologis. Sejarah munculnya aliran teologis ini dimulai pada masa Perang Shiffin, dan terjadi perselisihan antar umat Islam terkait peristiwa Tahkim. Ruang lingkup Tafsir ‘Aqoidi adalah pembahasan ilmu kalam yang menyangkut ideologi aliran.
