Notulae su alcune tribù in Sardegna

    No full text

DEVELOPMENT OF A REAL-TIME PCR FOR DETECTION OF MYCOPLASMA AGALACTIAE IN BULK TANK MILK SAMPLES AND EPIDEMIOLOGY OF INFECTION IN SARDINIA Carta T. [1], Mannu F.[2], Fadda M.[1], Ibba I.[3], Muggianu D.[3], Turrini F.[2], Pittau M.[1], Chessa B.[1] [1]Dipartimento di Medicina Veterinaria, Università degli Studi di Sassari ~ Sassari ~ Italy, [2]Nurex s.r.l. ~ Sassari ~ Italy, [3]Associazione Regionale Allevatori Sardegna (ARAS) ~ Oristano ~ Italy In this work the Mycoplasma agalactiae p48 gene was used as a diagnostic marker for contagious agalactia (CA) of sheep and goats by Real-Time PCR. The p48 gene encodes an invariable, constantly expressed, immunodominant surface lipoprotein belongs to the basic membrane protein family. The Real-Time PCR test based on p48 resulted specific and sensible. The test performance were evaluated on bulk tank milk samples collected from 1064 ovine and 66 goat farms in sardinian region. 4.8% of sheep farms and 4.5 % of goat farms tested positive. Our results showed that the test based on the p48 gene can be used on bulk tank milk for detection and epidemiological surveillance of Mycoplasma agalactiae infections

La Sardinia in età antonina: riflessioni su un testo da Bithia (ICO Sard. n. 8NP)

    No full text
The well-known inscription from Bithia (ICO Sard. n. 8NP) is perhaps dated to 176 AD thanks to the identification of the proconsul M. Peducaeus Plautius Quintillus, son-in-law of Marcus Aurelius, who was probably supported in his office by an official of senatorial or equestrian rank C. Pompeius Felix. The text, although drafted in Neo-Punic, allows us to recognize a society by now deeply influenced by the Latin culture in the small but rich community of the Sulcis, which perhaps uses a late variant of the language of Carthage only for cultual purposes

    52) Carboni E., Ibba M., Schirru C., Sadile A. (2009). BEHAVIORAL AND NEUROCHEMICAL CHANGES INDUCED BY METHYLPHENIDATE OR ATOMOXETINE SUB-CHRONIC TREATMENT IN ADOLESCENT SPONTANEOUS HYPERTENSIVE RATS (SHR) ARE GENDER SPECIFIC

Among the therapeutic treatments for attention deficit with hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), the psycho-stimulant methylphenidate (MP), represents the classic treatment while atomoxetine (ATO), a selective noradrenaline (NA) reuptake inhibitor, has been proposed successfully as an alternative to stimulant treatment. Spontaneous hypertensive (SH) rats, because they show several behavioural abnormalities (hyperactivity, hype-reactivity to stress and cognition deficit) have been proposed as an animal model of ADHD. The aim of this study, performed in male and female adolescent SH rats, was to assess the consequences of a 14 day treatment with MP, 1 mg/kg i.p. or ATO, 3 mg/kg i.p. or saline, twice a day on: i), the extracellular concentration of dopamine (DA) and NA in the PFC through the “in vivo” microdialysis method; ii) the spontaneous behavioural activity. We observed that neither MP nor ATO treatment changed the basal extracellular concentration (output) of NA or of DA in the PFC. We also observed that a challenge dose of MP (1 mg/kg i.p.) increased maximally NA output by 350 % and by 150 % and DA output by 158 % and 178 % in saline and MP male SH treated rats respectively. Moreover, a challenge dose of ATO (3 mg/kg i.p.) increased maximally NA output by 377 % and by 325 % and DA output by 287 % and 245 % in saline and ATO male SH treated rats respectively. Moreover we observed that a challenge dose of MP (1 mg/kg i.p.) increased maximally NA output by 210 % and by 200 % and DA output by 154 % and 144 % in saline and MP female SH treated rats respectively whereas a challenge dose of ATO (3 mg/kg i.p.) increased maximally NA output by 341 % and by 279 % and DA output by 192 % and 324 % in saline and ATO female SH treated rats respectively. Furthermore the sub-chronic treatment with MP or ATO determined a reduction of the locomotor activity in male but not in female SHR. Our most interesting results show that: i) acute ATO increased DA transmission much more than MP although they produced a similar effect on NA transmission in the PFC of SH control rats; ii) PFC basal NA and DA output was not affected by MP or ATO treatment in both male and female SHR; iii) MP treatment determines a strong tolerance to its challenge effect on NA transmission in the PFC of males but not female SHR. In summary our results suggest that the sub-chronic treatment with MP or ATX determine different and gender specific neurotransmission changes in PFC and gender specific spontaneous locomotor activity reduction

Aggiornamento della lista dei Senatori a trent'anni da "Epigrafia e Ordine Senatorio"Mireille Corbier’s and Marcel Le Glay’s studies produced the identification of 164 families coming from the African provinces. The investigations have added to this group other 77 families mostly originating from Proconsularis (64) and to a lesser extent from Numidia (10) and Mauretania Caesariensis (3); 10 families, inserted by the two authors in their sylloges must be eliminated because their coming from other sides of the empire has been proved. Most of the families entered the Roman Senate in the second and third centuries, whereas the number of senators decreases in Severian age. The evidences concerning the Late Roman Empire amount to 47 examples. These viri clarissimi often married rich women, daughters of members of the equestrian order, consolidating the primacy in their patria in this way to

    Militavit in Sardinia: aggiornamenti (1990-2016)
