ENEA CRESCO in the fight against Covid-19
Full text linkIl volume raccoglie 7 articoli scientifici prodotti a valle delle 2 giornate di Workshop riguardanti il contributo del supercomputer CRESCO dell’ENEA in attività di ricerca per la lotta contro la pandemia COVID-19. Una notevole quantità di ore di calcolo in parallelo sono state erogate per simulazioni numeriche complesse effettuate da istituzioni di ricerca che hanno chiesto di collaborare con ENEA nella lotta contro il Covid-19, sfruttando la potenza di calcolo del supercomputer CRESCO6, entrato nel 2018 nella TOP500 dei supercomputer più potenti al mondo. A un anno dalla messa a disposizione di CRESCO6 sono state eseguite migliaia di simulazioni di dinamica molecolare (Molecular Dynamics - MD) e fluidodinamica computazionale (Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD), finalizzate sia ad individuare molecole per nuovi farmaci attivi contro il virus che studiarne la propagazione tra le persone in ambienti chiusi. CRESCO è parte di ENEAGRID, l’infrastruttura di calcolo distribuito dell'ENEA, che copre sei centri ENEA: Portici, Frascati, Casaccia, Brindisi, Bologna e Trisaia. La maggior parte dei sistemi di calcolo sono situati a Portici, con il cluster CRESCO6, con potenza di circa 1.4 PFlops.This volume publishes 7 scientific papers provided after the 2-day Workshop on the usage of ENEA's CRESCO supercomputer in research activities in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. A considerable amount of parallel computing hours have been provided for complex numerical simulations carried out by research institutions that have asked to collaborate with ENEA in the fight against Covid-19, exploiting the computing power of the supercomputer CRESCO6, entered in 2018 in the TOP500 of the most powerful supercomputers in the world. One year after CRESCO6 was made available, thousands of molecular dynamics (Molecular Dynamics - MD) and computational fluid dynamics (Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD) simulations have been performed, aimed both at identifying molecules for new drugs active against the virus and studying its propagation among people in closed environments. CRESCO is part of ENEAGRID, the distributed computing infrastructure of ENEA, which spread over six ENEA centres: Portici, Frascati, Casaccia, Brindisi, Bologna and Trisaia. Most of the computing resources are located in Portici, where CRESCO6 HPC system has got a computing peak power of about 1.4 PFlops

No full textIl museo d’impresa rappresenta un reale e potente strumento di engagement a disposizione delle imprese che scelgono di valorizzare il proprio patrimonio storico e culturale, sedimentato nell’osmosi con il territorio di appartenenza, attraverso strategie di heritage marketing che contemplino approcci responsabili alle relazioni con gli stakeholder. Quali stakeholder e quale modello di engagement per una gestione sostenibile delle relazioni? Queste le domande di ricerca formulate per studiare le relazioni che il museo d’impresa attiva, nel ruolo di strumento di narrazione e condivisione dell’identità organizzativa, ed applicate nell’indagine empirica - facendo ricorso al metodo del multiple case study - per analizzare le relazioni con due set di stakeholder appartenenti alle categorie istruzione/formazione e ricerca/innovazione. Il paper contribuisce a colmare un gap di conoscenza sulle modalità di engagement nelle relazioni e, allo stesso tempo, fornisce indicazioni sulle ulteriori potenzialità del museo d'impresa considerato come strumento ottimale di stakeholder engagement

No full textIl tema della sostenibilità ambientale e sociale sta guadagnando sempre maggiore spazio nel dibattito teorico e manageriale in generale, con grande rilevanza nel comparto ‘tessile-moda-abbigliamento (TMA). La ricerca ne fotografa il livello di certificazione seguendo la tesi per cui taluni standard rappresentino un importante motore per le innovazioni organizzative, di processo e di prodotto. Infatti, imponendo l'uso di nuove tecnologie, nuovi processi, nuovi materiali, ma anche una diversa organizzazione delle catene di approvvigionamento, essi non solo consentono di valutare il concreto impegno delle aziende di moda nella sostenibilità, ma possono rappresentare un reale strumento per l’innovazione sostenibile nel comparto. I primi risultati dell’analisi condotta consentono di affermare che molta è la strada da compiere verso una maggiore conoscenza e applicazione degli standard a livello nazionale, e che esiste un forte divario tra territori e regioni sia nelle percentuali di adozione, sia nella concentrazione di talune certificazioni in specifiche aree

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
