ITC módszer alkalmazása a glikogén foszforiláz enzim vizsgálatára
No full textMunkám során a glikogén foszforiláz enzim kinetikai és gátlásvizsgálatait végeztem el ITC módszer segítségével. Mivel az ITC alkalmazása enzimkinetikai vizsgálatokhoz viszonylag új iránynak számít, így a glikogén foszforiláz enzimen végzett méréseim potenciálisan új eredményeket nyújthatnak. Méréseim során kihasználtam, hogy az enzimet természetes szubsztrátján vizsgálhatom, illetve a módszer lehetővé teszi a reakciósebesség direkt módon történő meghatározását.A kinetikai vizsgálatokat négy szubsztráton (G5, G7, CNP-G7, glikogén) végeztem el, melyeknél rendre meghatároztam a Michaelis-Menten állandókat (KM). Ezen értékek összehasonlításával meg tudtam állapítani a glikogén foszforiláz enzim aktivitás mérése és gátlásvizsgálata számára a megfelelő körülményeket.
Ezt követően gátlásvizsgálatokat végeztem öt inhibitorral, a KS389, a VG241, a BF142, az FR258900 jelzésű gátlószerekkel, valamint a malvidin-kloriddal. Ezek közül a KS389 az aktív centrumon, a másik négy pedig az allosztérikus helyen fejtette ki a gátló hatását. Mind az öt gátlószer esetén a glikogén lebontás irányában végeztem méréseket, mely során meghatároztam az inhibitorok IC50, valamint a gátlási állandóinak értékeit.Az általam lebontás irányában végzett kísérletek eredményeit összevetettem egy másik kutatócsoport által, a szintézis irányában meghatározott értékekkel.gjvegyészMSc/M

The ITC (International Tobacco Control Policy Evaluation Project) Kenya National Report lays the foundation for stronger implementation of the FCTC and provides timely evidence of the need for stronger tobacco control policies; Kenya’s current 2014 regulations are under legal challenge by British American Tobacco (BAT) Kenya Limited. Assessing Bias in Patent Infringement Cases: A Review of International Trade Commission Decisions
Full text linkThe International Trade Commission (ITC) has gained importance in recent years because of its increasingly powerful role in adjudicating patent disputes. That little-known independent agency has the authority to bar importation of articles found to infringe a valid U.S. patent by issuing exclusion orders. The Commission is now potentially the patent tribunal of first instance for electronic products and other products manufactured overseas. This paper examines possible biases in ITC decision making in favor of patent holders from both a positive and a normative perspective and offers suggestions for improving the efficiency of the ITC process for adjudicating complaints based on patent infringement. I provide the most comprehensive economic analysis to date of cases that arise under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930. In particular, this is the first paper to compare the ITC decision-making process in patent disputes with the district courts in a systematic way. After empirically demonstrating a likely bias in decision making at the ITC, the paper provides specific remedies that could improve the efficiency of the patent dispute process.Technology and Industry
