Full text linkIl existe une grande variété de types d’articles scientifiques. Les typologies adoptées par les éditeurs (publishers) et les revues ne sont pas standardisées et pas forcément partagées entre eux :
• de nombreuses revues indiquent leurs types d’articles dans les rubriques Aims and Scope ou instructions aux auteurs. Cela va d’une simple liste (exemple : revue Environmental and Sustainability Indicators), pas forcément exhaustive, à un descriptif précis (exemple : revue mBIO) ;
• selon les disciplines scientifiques et selon les revues, une même dénomination de type d’article
peut couvrir des caractéristiques différentes (définition, objectif, contenu, règles d’écriture) ;
• selon le type d’article, les revues acceptent les soumissions spontanées (direct submission, unsolicited articles) ou au contraire fonctionnent sur invitation (by invitation, commissioned articles). Exemple d’une revue qui indique clairement ses choix : PNA

No full textOperators of small sewage systems (below 20,000 EGW, below 50,000 depending on the available space) are to be given a low-cost, environmentally neutral and safe process for sludge drying. The product can be recycled in agriculture, the asphalt industry, or as CO_2-neutra fuel. The demonstration project is to stimulate marketing of the process.Ziel des Vorhabens ist es, den Betreibern von kleineren Klaeranlagen ein Verfahren anzubieten, mit dem Klaerschlamm sicher, umweltneutral und kostenguenstig getrocknet werden kann. Die Zielgruppe sind Klaeranlagen unter 20.000 EGW, prinzipiell auch bis ca. 50.000 EGW, sofern genuegend Platz vorhanden ist. Mit Hilfe des Trocknungsvorganges sollen verschiedene Entsorgungspfade offen gehalten werden, wie: - Kreislaufgut in die Landwirtschaft, Verbesserung der Akzeptanz durch einfachere Handhabung, -Zuschlagstoff fuer die Asphaltindustrie, - Brennstoff, der weitgehendst CO_2-neutral ist. Mit Hilfe des Demonstrationsobjektes soll die Vermarktung des Verfahrens in die Wege geleitet werden. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
