One-loop corrections to ALP effective couplings
We derive the one-loop contributions to ALP-SM effective couplings, including all finite corrections. The complete leading-order –dimension five– effective linear Lagrangian is considered. The ALP is left off-shell, which is of particular impact on LHC and accelerator searches of ALP couplings to γγ, Z Z, Zγ, WW, gluons and fermions. All results are obtained in the covariant R ξ gauge. A few phenomenological consequences are also explored as illustration, with flavour diagonal channels in the case of fermions: in particular, we explore constraints on the coupling of the ALP to top quarks, that can be extracted from LHC data, from astrophysical sources and from Dark Matter direct detection experiments such as PandaX, LUX and XENON1T

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility alternatives of different alternatives and select the most suitable for duplication of the track. For this purpose will be presented and evaluated different options with your technical justification and economic valuation, to give the optimum solution.
Much of the section of duplication is performed in parallel with the current path, however, if the possibility of a slight modification of the route is introduced to limit the expropriations and reduce costs.
As we shall see at the end of the study, after analyzing the problems and difficulties of the path, a viable solution is found.Rodríguez-Gavela Blesa, J. (2016). One-loop corrections to ALP couplings
Abstract The plethora of increasingly precise experiments which hunt for axion-like particles (ALPs), as well as their widely different energy reach, call for the theoretical understanding of ALP couplings at loop-level. We derive the one-loop contributions to ALP-SM effective couplings, including finite corrections. The complete leading-order — dimension five — effective linear Lagrangian is considered. The ALP is left off-shell, which is of particular impact on LHC and accelerator searches of ALP couplings to γγ, ZZ, Zγ, WW, gluons and fermions. All results are obtained in the covariant R ξ gauge. A few phenomenological consequences are also explored as illustration, with flavour diagonal channels in the case of fermions: in particular, we explore constraints on the coupling of the ALP to top quarks, that can be extracted from LHC data, from astrophysical sources and from Dark Matter direct detection experiments such as PandaX, LUX and XENON1T. Furthermore, we clarify the relation between alternative ALP bases, the role of gauge anomalous couplings and their interface with chirality-conserving and chirality-flip fermion interactions, and we briefly discuss renormalization group aspects

Abstract: In composite Higgs models the Higgs is a pseudo-Goldstone boson of a high-energy strong dynamics. We have constructed the effective chiral Lagrangian for a generic symmetric coset, restricting to CP-even bosonic operators up to four momenta which turn out to depend on seven parameters, aside from kinetic terms. Once the same sources of custodial symmetry breaking as in the Standard Model are considered, the total number of operators in the basis increases up to ten, again aside from kinetic terms. Under these assumptions, we have then particularised the discussion to three distinct frameworks: the original SU(5)/SO(5) Georgi-Kaplan model, the minimal custodial-preserving SO(5)/SO(4) model and the minimal SU(3)/(SU(2) × U(1)) model, which intrinsically breaks custodial symmetry. The projection of the high-energy electroweak effective theory into the bosonic sector of the Standard Model is shown to match the low-energy chiral effective Lagrangian for a dynamical Higgs, and it uncovers strong relations between the operator coefficients. Finally, the relation with the bosonic basis of operators describing linear realisations of electroweak symmetry breaking is clarified
“Global” vs. “local”: Two readings of theoretical and methodological position of Branko Gavela
The paper presents two possible readings of one discussion by Branko Gavela on the problems of protohistoric archaeology. From two distinct perspectives – one based upon the general pattern of development of archaeological thought, the other taking into account the specific local context, two disparate interpretations emerge of Gavela’s methodological conclusions. The general pattern of development of archaeological theory through three stages proves to be insufficient, and the author stresses the need to consider scholarly texts in the local context of the discipline. Instead of positioning Gavela’s texts as the “heralds” of theoretical changes in archaeology, a completely different position of his writings emerges, heavily influenced by the specific situation of archaeology in Serbia after the World War II

Introduction: Sexual and Reproductive Education is a great support for teaching towards the
population, it manages to strengthen the knowledge about their health and avoid unwanted
pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections.
The lack of initiative in this type of interventions is reflected in the negative behaviors of many
adolescents towards their menstrual cycles, in addition to the myths, fears and taboos expressed
at a social level about the subject.
It is also important to talk about and explain premenstrual symptoms and menstrual disorders,
as many adolescents claim not to know how to handle them. Clarifying the relationship of these
symptoms with ovarian hormone fluctuations.
Objectives: To asses the convenience of educational talks on the menstrual cycle and its
physical and psychological changes among the adolescent population.
Methodology: Bibliographic search in the information sources PubMed, Cochrane Library,
Virtual Health Library and LILACS, where a search strategy was carried out for articles
published in recent years in Spanish or English.
Results: A total of 4864 articles were obtained in the different databases; after applying the
filters and reading the title and abstract, 18 were collected.
Conclusions: Thanks to these interventions, adolescents have been able to become more aware
of their menstrual cycles and the changes involved, thus giving rise to positive experiences
about their periods and their management. Thus eliminating the different myths and social
taboos about menstruation and women
Four species neutrino oscillations at -Factory: sensitivity and CP-violation
The prospects of measuring the leptonic angles and CP-odd phases at a {\em neutrino factory} are discussed in the scenario of three active plus one sterile neutrino. We consider the \nu_\mu \raw \nu_e LSND signal. Its associated large mass difference leads to observable neutrino oscillations at short ( km) baseline experiments. Sensitivities to the leptonic angles down to can be easily achieved with a 1 Ton detector. Longer baseline experiments ( km) with a 1 Kton detector can provide very clean tests of CP-violation especially through tau lepton detection
Higgs ultraviolet softening
Abstract: We analyze the leading effective operators which induce a quartic momentum dependence in the Higgs propagator, for a linear and for a non-linear realization of electroweak symmetry breaking. Their specific study is relevant for the understanding of the ultraviolet sensitivity to new physics. Two methods of analysis are applied, trading the Lagrangian coupling by: i) a “ghost” scalar, after the Lee-Wick procedure; ii) other effective operators via the equations of motion. The two paths are shown to lead to the same effective Lagrangian at first order in the operator coefficients. It follows a modification of the Higgs potential and of the fermionic couplings in the linear realization, while in the non-linear one anomalous quartic gauge couplings, Higgs-gauge couplings and gauge-fermion interactions are induced in addition. Finally, all LHC Higgs and other data presently available are used to constrain the operator coefficients; the future impact of pp → 4 leptons data via off-shell Higgs exchange and of vector boson fusion data is considered as well. For completeness, a summary of pure-gauge and gauge-Higgs signals exclusive to non-linear dynamics at leading-order is included
