Saddam Hussein
The thesis focuses on the multimedia propaganda materials disseminated in the dictatorial Iraq, with the aim of highlighting their fictional but crucial status for the preservation of Saddam Hussein's power. The thesis also identifies the features that it has in common with other dictatorial experiences, finally creating an appendix to discuss the anti-propaganda following the fall of S. Hussein

King Hussein of Jordan
This episode is an unedited version of Peter Krogh's interview with King Hussein of Jordan. 1985 found Jordan ambitiously attempting to expand diplomacy in the perpetually tumultuous Middle East. To the north, Israel was beginning a phased withdrawal from Lebanon; to the east, Iraq and Iran were engaged in the fifth year of a bitter and costly war; to the west lay Israel and the disputed West Bank. In the midst of a renewed push for a just and durable peace, King Hussein placed special emphasis on diplomatic efforts, attempting to engage the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) in direct peace talks with Israel. In this interview King Hussein and host Peter Krogh discuss the importance of involving all Arab nations in the peace process, the need to seek international support in order to create any lasting agreement, and the role of military power and terrorism in the process. The interview also examines Jordan's Cold War relations with the United States and the Soviet Union, as well as the roles that both countries play in the region and in the diplomatic process.Host Peter Krogh interviews King Hussein in Amman, Jordan
I Giorni dell'Ibisco
Between the guitar sound of Bob Dylan and the sarangi mix East and West in nine extraordinary tales. These nine stories come directly to the heart of the reader. Aamer Hussein fails to fuse with innocence and immediacy, philosophy and maturity, intelligence and sensitivity, the size of the intimate and personal players with political reality, the fate of the characters with the complex history of the world where they live. Writing, both delicate and powerful, is full of strange images and original, unusually modern, yet deeply rooted in tradition and surrounded by a halo of magic. The universe cosmopolitan Hussein transcends categories such as "colonial," "postcolonial" or "third world". Of Pakistani origin and training English Hussein introduces the structure, style and metaphors of modern Urdu literature in purely English stories, set in many different realities, from Pakistan to England, from Spain to Java. <br/

Insomnia
In his fourth collection, Aamer Hussein charts the geographies of leave-taking and homecoming, the consolations and rivalries of friendship, the yearnings of adolescence, and maturity’s tentative acceptance of longing. Moving from Karachi to England, through India, Java, Italy, and Spain, these exquisite stories engage with the grand narratives of our time
