No full textIn this study, trace fossils of the Ceylan Formation (Late Eocene) in the area NW of Fındıklı village and on the coast of the Ece Bay the Gelibolu Peninsula are identified for the first time. They occur in gray siltstones and mudstones intercalated with thin-bedded, parallel and ripple laminated sandstones, which were deposited on a basin plain in proximilt of a slopes in the Thrace Basin. The Late Eocene Ceylan Formation includes pre-depositionl (Belorhaphe zickzack, Desmograpton isp., Helicolithus ramosus, Helminthorhaphe flexuosa, Paleodictyon majus, Paleodictyon minimum, Paleodictyon strozzii, Saerichnites isp., Urohelminthoida appendiculata) and post-depositional (Phycosiphon incertum, Spongeliomorpha oraviense, Trichichnus isp., Planolites isp., Ophiomorpha isp., Ophiomorpha annulata, Scolicia isp., Scolicia prisca, and Thalassinoides isp.) trace fossils. This trace fossil assemblage is typical of the Nereites ichnofacies (Paleodictyon ichnosubfacies), which characterize deep-sea, thin bedded turbididitic sediments oxygenated sea floor

U prvom dijelu uvodim osnovne informacije o redatelju i njegovim filmskim početcima. Zatim analiziram neke od značajnih stilskih odrednica njegovih filmova, poput tema vezanih za čovjekovo otuđenje, Slow Cinema estetike, zvučne slike, (ne)korištenja dijaloga, te utjecaj njegovih stilskih uzora. Nakon toga, u najopširnijem dijelu rada, analiziram tri njegova filma iz ranijeg i kasnijeg perioda stvaralaštva - Daleko, Tri majmuna i Zimski san. Analizom tražim poveznice između redateljevih tema i filmskih izražajnih sredstava koja koristi. U zaključku se osvrćem na analizu uz svoj kratki dojam o stvaralaštvu autora.In my Master thesis I am analyzing the film style of one the most influential Turkish directors, Nuri Bilge Ceylan. The text starts with some basic information about the director and his beginning in filmmaking. After that, I analyze some of the main film elements of his work - themes of loneliness and dissociation, Slow Cinema aesthetics, use of sound, (non) use of dialogue and the influences on his work. After that I analyze three of his films - Distant, Three Monkeys, Winter Sleep. In the conclusion I am summing up my findings and giving my impression of Ceylan's work

No full textAbstracts. - The Western and Eastern lowlands of Ceylon, although characterized by the same lithological topics, reveal geomorphic features without any analogy. The study of those features do reveal a close relationship between the topography and the climate pattern, the island being divided in a wet and a dry zone.
The only doubtful point in this sequence is the stability of the climate in the past. Reinforcement of the distribution grids to improve the hosting capacity of distributed generation: Multi-objective framework
No full text© 2023 The Author(s)Excessive penetration of renewable energy resources into the distribution grid without additional preventive measures has led to several operational problems. However, most strategies developed to accommodate more renewable energy units suffered from other operational problems. Therefore, further efforts are needed to address the other key vulnerabilities of the grid in addition to maximizing the hosting capacity. In this regard, this study is devoted to a new multi-objective formulation to maximize the hosting capacity and minimize the total energy losses while satisfying the operational constraints and maximizing the energy transferred to off-peak hours. The Multi-Objective Advanced Gray Wolf Optimization (MOAGWO) algorithm is used as a solution tool. The proposed formulation and solution algorithm are tested on IEEE-33-bus and 69-bus medium voltage test systems. The impacts of energy storage systems, voltage regulators, and static var compensators on the hosting capacity and the objective functions are identified using several scenarios. The results showed that the optimal device type and locations depend on the level of DG penetration. Finally, a comparison according to two popular multi-objective performance indices showed that the quality of the Pareto front distribution obtained by MOAGWO was better than the ones obtained with the two other popular heuristic methods
Short distance variability of trace fossils in submarine slope and proximal basin plain deposits : a case study from the Ceylan Formation (upper Eocene), Gelibolu Peninsula, NW Turkey
No full textThe Ceylan Formation (upper Eocene) from the Thrace Basin (Gelibolu Peninsula, NW Turkey), is composed of pelagic shales, marls, clayey limestones, turbiditic sandstone-shale beds and local conglomerates, debris flow mixtites, slumped deposits and silicified tuffites. These deposits, which are about 1000 m thick, generally shallow upwards, show vertical and lateral changes according to their accumulation on different parts of a submarine slope, with a transition to the proximal basin plain. The variability is also expressed in the trace fossil content (33 ichnotaxa, 26 ichnogenera). The fine-grained background sediments are totally bioturbated and they show an ichnofabric with Trichichnus, Chondrites, Planolites and small Thalassinoides. Generally, abundance and diversity of trace fossils increase with frequency of sandstone intercalations, probably because of higher and more variable food content and higher preservational potential. Turbiditic sandstones of the proximal basin plain contain abundant graphoglyptids (Paleodictyon, Helminthorhaphe, Urohelminthoida, Desmograpton, Belorhaphe, Helicolithus). Continuous reworking of background sediments points to a good or moderate oxygenation of pore waters. The trace fossil assemblage of fine-grained pelagic sediments with isolated sandstone beds can be ascribed to the Zoophycos ichnofacies sensu lato, but some ichnotaxa typical of turbiditic sediments (e.g., Ophiomorpha annulata) can be present in isolated sandstone beds. Series of turbiditic sandstones with abundant graphoglyptids are typical of the Paleodictyon ichnosubfacies of the Nereites ichnofacies. Turbiditic series in the upper slope setting contain much fewer graphoglyptids. The absence of graphoglyptids in isolated sandstone beds shows that their occurrence is not only a matter of taphonomy (scouring and casting) but also is related to the presence of more frequent turbidites modifying the substrate

Mężczyzna gości w swoim mieszkaniu kuzyna, który zaburza rutynę jego codzienną rutynę. Ponadto obecność przybysza skłania bohatera do udawania we własnym domu kogoś, kim nie jest. Opisując sytuację Mahmuta za pomocą kategorii i pojęć wywiedzionych z refleksji socjologicznej, Autorka zwraca uwagę na psychologiczne implikacje ingerencji w czyjąś codzienność.The article is an analysis of the movie Uzak by Nuri Bilge Ceylan (2002), in which the author focuses on the main character, Mahmut. The man is hosting a cousin in his flat, who perturbs the routine of his dailiness. Moreover the presence of the guest induces protagonist to pretend someone hi is not in his own house. Describing Mahmut's situation by using categories and terms from sociological reflection, the Author pays attention to psychological implications of the intrusion into someone's everyday life
