No full textEcco, l'abilità di Holl è stata e continua ad essere quella di fornirci non solo progetti di indubbia qualità, ma di fornirci progetti immagini di pensiero, ovvero progetti che riescono a visualizzare la logica con cui gli stessi sono stati concepiti... Holl dunque, con la sua sensuale, soggettiva, empatica, alle volte voluttuosa ed alle volte squisitamente sgraziata architettura, ha rappresentato le ragioni della sopravvivenza della teoria, e dunque del logos e della logica, nell'epoca dell'arbitrio, della prestazionalità tecnica e del design; una sopravvivenza veicolata attraverso delle immagini di pensiero intuitive rese vive da seducenti acquarelli che ci hanno raccontato, come i disegni di Scarpa e di Rossi, che l'architettura deve pur sempre mantenere un qualcosa di fragile, di caduco e più che altro deve preservare la sua intimità. Le conferenze di Holl qui riportate ci raccontano di tutto ciò e lo fanno con una certa grazia, senza slogan o proclami, in quanto una cosa Holl, come gli altri maestri postmoderni, l'ha capita: che i meccanismi se troppo serrati tendono a gripparsi
