Análisis microbiológico en el interior de los quirófanos del Hospital de Brigada n° 1 El Oro . Elaboración de manual de bioseguridad
Get PDFpdfLas infecciones nosocomiales ocurridas en los quirófanos, unidad de cuidados intensivos (UCI), laboratorios clínicos, odontología, salas de neonatos, traumatología y ginecología, así como otras áreas de los hospitales, han sido un grave problema a lo largo de los años en el país, más aún cuando se trata de los problemas de asepsia en quirófanos privados y públicos ya que estos han estado lejos de la normativa hospitalaria internacional. En Ecuador se han suscitado, en diferentes circunstancias, muerte de pacientes en distintas áreas de los hospitales públicos; las más recientes se han producido en las provincias de Guayas, Manabí y Loja, donde se detectaron algunas falencias en las condiciones de funcionamiento, lo que causó el fallecimiento a varios neonatos por posible contaminación del área de ginecología y maternidad en la que posiblemente fueron casos de sepsis (infección sistémica por proliferación de bacterias). La presente investigación se desarrolla en el Hospital de Brigada Nº1 “El Oro”, es una unidad de salud de nivel II de complejidad, está ubicado en el cantón Pasaje al Noreste de la provincia de El Oro, a 67 Km de la frontera con Perú. El propósito fundamental de esta investigación es conocer los factores que inciden en la aparición de las infecciones nosocomiales en los pacientes hospitalizados en las salas #
1 y 2, Hospital Básico N. 1 de “El Oro”, para dar respuesta a este objetivo, hemos considerado trabajar con el personal de quirófano, siendo un total de 6 trabajadoras de esta entidad de salud que laboran en turnos rotativos, cantidad que representa a nuestra muestra planteada, la cual corresponde el 100% de las encuestadas. De acuerdo a los resultados de análisis microbiológico, se descarta contaminación por hongos, bacterias gram positivos y gran negativas en las muestras tomadas en puerta, en esquinas (4), en paciente y en entrada de aire de los quirófanos uno y dos del Hospital de Brigada Nº 1 “El Oro”. El área de quirófanos no posee un Manual de Bioseguridad, esto lo dice el
67% de los encuestados.
Nosocomial infections in operating rooms, intensive care unit (ICU), clinical laboratories, dental facilities, newborns, orthopedics and gynecology, as well as other areas of the hospital have been a serious problem throughout the years in the country, even more so when it comes to asepsis issues of private and public operating rooms as these have been away from the international hospital standards. In Ecuador have been raised in different circumstances, deaths of patients in different areas of public hospitals; the most recent occurred in the provinces of Guayas, Manabí and Loja, where some flaws were detected in the operating conditions, which caused the death of several infants for possible contamination of the field of gynecology and maternity cases which were possibly sepsis (systemic infection by bacterial growth).
This research takes place in the hospital Brigadier Number 1 "El Oro" is a health unit level II complex, which is located in the Canton Pasaje northeast of El Oro province,
67km from the border with Peru. The main purpose of this research is to understand the factors that influence the occurrence of nosocomial infections in hospitalized patients in the rooms # 1 and 2, basic hospital Number 1 of "El Oro" to give an answer this objective, we have considered to work with the operating room staff, with a total of 6 workers of this health institution, working in shifts, amount raised represents our sample, which corresponds to 100% of the respondents. According to the results of microbiological analysis, fungal contamination was discarded, large positive and large negative bacteria in samples taken at door corners (4), in patients and air inlet operating rooms one and two hospital Brigade # 1 "El Oro." Has been established as risk factors that liquid wastes are not treated before disposal, besides that blood is not treated and segregated, and finally that 83% of staff has an average knowledge of biosafety regulations. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
