This study had as objectives, starting from the franchising's definitions, the history of Cia. Hering and its franchises, to identify the strategies adopted for the implantation and for the amplification of Cia. Hering international franchises - in Argentina, Chile and Venezuela -, based on Porter Model (1986) and to explain the procedures adopted in the implantation of international Hering Stores. The research problem arose with the verification that the studies involving Brazilian franchises which have become successful in other countries, especially in the textile area, are still incipient. The survey was carried out with Cia.Hering executives, as well as through "in locu" observation in international franchises, checking the success and unsuccess causes of their implantations, as well as of their reformulation. The data were analyzed with the Porter Model application, model that indicates five competitive forces, allowing to identify the strategies adopted by each one of the countries` franchises. Thus, the analysis became possible to know the franchises development process and, also, identify the most common strategy used by Cia.Hering in this process which is the focus`. This strategy is directed for the customers' segment, who buy in malls and belong to the A and B classes. Equally, with the focus strategy study, it was identified the differentiation strategy of external market products. Finally, it was evidenced as one of the principal points that contribute to the franchises` success growth, starting from the focus strategy, is the physical-structural maintenance pattern of the located franchises in the malls

Release of ATP and glutamate in the nucleus tractus solitarii mediate pulmonary stretch receptor (Breuer-Hering) reflex pathway
The Breuer-Hering inflation reflex is initiated by activation of the slowly adapting pulmonary stretch receptor afferents (SARs), which monosynaptically activate second-order relay neurones in the dorsal medullary nucleus of the solitary tract (NTS). Here we demonstrate that during lung inflation SARs release both ATP and glutamate from their central terminals to activate these NTS neurones. In anaesthetized and artificially ventilated rats, ATP- and glutamate-selective microelectrode biosensors placed in the NTS detected rhythmic release of both transmitters phase-locked to lung inflation. This release of ATP and glutamate was independent of the centrally generated respiratory rhythm and could be reversibly abolished during the blockade of the afferent transmission in the vagus nerve by topical application of local anaesthetic. Microionophoretic application of ATP increased the activity of all tested NTS second-order relay neurones which receive monosynaptic inputs from the SARs. Unilateral microinjection of ATP into the NTS site where pulmonary stretch receptor afferents terminate produced central apnoea, mimicking the effect of lung inflation. Application of P2 and glutamate receptor antagonists (pyridoxal-5'-phosphate-6-azophenyl-2',4'-disulphonic acid, suramin and kynurenic acid) significantly decreased baseline lung inflation-induced firing of the second-order relay neurones. These data demonstrate that ATP and glutamate are released in the NTS from the central terminals of the lung stretch receptor afferents, activate the second-order relay neurones and hence mediate the key respiratory reflex - the Breuer-Hering inflation reflex
Phyllocnistis baccharidis Hering, Allotype 1958
Phyllocnistis baccharidis Hering, 1958 Figs. 3C, 4C, 5, S1; Tab. 2 Phyllocnistis baccharidis; Hering 1958: 308 –310, figs. 11–12, 14B–14 C. Davis & Miller 1984: 27. De Prins et al. 2016: 34. Type material. Phyllocnistis baccharidis Hering, 1958 was described on the basis of one male and three females, from Choromoro, Tucumán, Argentina. The male holotype (Fig. 3C) was illustrated by Hering and is deposited with the allotype and two paratypes at ZMHB. Holotype with the following labels (separated by forward slash symbols, Fig. 4C): / Holotypus / Mine an Baccharis spec. / IM R. Her. 9 / Choromoro Tucumán 16/17.III. 1953 Wygodzinsky / Phyllocnistis baccharidis #m Hering, Holotype /. Next to the labels is the dissected genitalia, slidemounted with glycerin and containing the same information previously cited. Female allotype with the following labels (separated by forward slash symbols): / Allotypus / Mine an Baccharis spec. / IM R. Her. 9 / Choromoro Tucumán 16/17.III. 1953 Wygodzinsky / Phyllocnistis baccharidis Hering, Allotype #f /. Female genitalia is also dissected and slide-mounted with glycerin, containing the same information. Paratypes (two females, with identical labels): / Paratypus / Mine an Baccharis spec. / IM R. Her. 9 / Choromoro Tucumán 16/17.III. 1953 Wygodzinsky / Phyllocnistis baccharidis Hering, Paratype /. Forewing length. 3.25 mm (n=5). Diagnosis (Figs. 3C, S 1; Tab. 2). Dorsal forewing: ground color light gray. lf lanceolate, with middle portion wider; light yellow with border light brown. It emerges on the proximal region of the wing (I), following centrally towards the median region (II), and ending diffuse close to the tf 1 border. Four transversal light yellow fasciae with well-marked, light brown borders: tf 1 c-shaped, crossing entirely the wing; tf 2 short, partially connected to tf 1 on the central region, where it ends, and slightly separated from tf 3; tf 4 is narrower, similar and parallel to tf 3, preceding as. Inner marginal fringes with light yellow base, dark brown median region and light gray apex. Costal and apical strigulae typical. P. baccharidis is similar to P. bourquini Pastrana and P. ourea Brito & Moreira in relation to pattern of the fasciae. However, it can be distinguished from these species by the tf 1, which in P. baccharidis reaches the inner margin, a characteristic not found on the other two species. Geographical distribution (Fig. 5). Recorded from the original description as restricted to Quebrada de Las Higueras and Choromoro, Trancas department, Tucumán province, Argentina (800 m.). Natural history. Immature of this species were reared by Dr. P. Wygodzinsky from collections made on March 16 h and 17, 1953. According to him and the species author, up to two larvae were found feeding on the epidermis in a single leaf. The mine is found on the adaxial region of the leaf, and during ontogenesis the larva traces a path towards the leaf apex, posteriorly returning to the base, and so on. The mine is serpentine, narrow at first and increasing in size throughout larval development. The frass in the mine has a slimy appearance. The cocoon is endophyllous, constructed distally within the mine in the central region of the leaf. Silken threads constructed with the cocoon cause the leaf to wrinkle. Host plant(s). According to Hering (1958), larvae feed on an unidentified species of Baccharis L. (Asteraceae). Examined material. Holotype, allotype, 2 paratypes and 1 specimen with no identified sex, with the same type locality, deposited at MCN (this specimen is incorrectly labeled as a paratype). Argentina: Tucumán— Choromoro, Quebrada de la Higuera, 800 m, 16-17.III.1953, P. Wygodzinsky leg., 1 male and 3 females (ZMHB), 1 specimen (TLEP043) (MCN). Remarks. At the ZMBH, only two slides were found with genitalia, both dissected and illustrated by Hering. Nevertheless, it is noteworthy that the slide containing the male genitalia is damaged. Because there were only few specimens deposited at the collection, no genitalia were dissected for this review.Published as part of Brito, Rosângela, Lopez-Vaamonde, Carlos, Gonçalves, Gislene L., Becker, Vitor O., Mielke, Olaf H. Phyllocnistis abatiae Hering 1958
Phyllocnistis abatiae Hering, 1958 Figs. 3A, 4A, 5, S1; Tab. 2 Phyllocnistis abatiae; Hering 1958: 310, 312, figs. 14D, 15–16. Davis & Miller 1984: 27. De Prins et al. 2016: 34. Type material. Phyllocnistis abatiae Hering, 1958 was described based on one male from Tucumán, Argentina. The holotype (Fig. 3A) illustrated by the author in the original description is deposited at ZMHB, with the following labels (separated by forward slash symbols, Fig. 4A): / Holotypus / Mine an Abatia stellata Lillo / IM R Her. 3 / Tafí, 1700 m. Tucumán 1.III.1953 Wygodzinsky / Phyllocnistis abatiae Her. #m Holotype /. Next to the labels is found the dissected genitalia, slide–mounted with glycerin, containing the same information. Forewing length. 3.60 mm (n = 1). Diagnosis (Figs. 3A, S 1; Tab. 2). Dorsal forewing: ground color silver, lf absent; tf 1 short, slightly marked, light brown, reaching the median region of the wing (II); tf 2 similar and parallel to tf 1, appearing as small goldenyellow blotches on the costal margin of the wing. On distal region, tf 3 and tf 4 are united and diffused, also forming a golden yellow distal blotch. Costal strigulae dark brown emerging from tf 2, tf 3 and tf 4. P. abatiae is similar to P. dorcas Meyrick, P. puyehuensis Davis, P. tethys Moreira & Vargas and P. petronellii Brito & Lopez-Vaamonde sp. nov. due to the absence of the lf. However, it differs from them by having much shorter tf 1 and tf 2. Geographical distribution (Fig. 5). The type specimen was recorded at Quebrada de la Angostura, Tafí Del Valle department, Tucumán province, Argentina, 1700 m. However, the original description cites 1800 m. Natural history. Immature were collected and reared by Dr. P. Wygodzinsky (dated February 26th, 1953). According to reports of Dr. Wygodzinsky and Hering, mines are found on adaxial leaf surface, with a greenish serpentine shape. The larva usually begins construction of the leaf mine next to the petiole, followed by a thin black trail of frass. During ontogenesis the mine increases in size and tracks the leaf apex, returning posteriorly to the base, where the larva constructs the endophyllous cocoon. The adult leaves the pupal exuvium half protruded from the cocoon after eclosion. Host plant(s). Abatia stellata Lillo (Salicaceae). Examined material. Holotype. Remarks. There are no records of other specimens collected after the original description. Consequently, there are no data in the literature that complements information regarding the biology and morphology of P. abatiae. Since only one specimen is deposited at the collections, no genitalia were dissected for this review.Published as part of Brito, Rosângela, Lopez-Vaamonde, Carlos, Gonçalves, Gislene L., Becker, Vitor O., Mielke, Olaf H.
