El fundherentismo: la epistemología de Susan Haack
In this article, the author wishes to present Susan Haack’s epistemological proposal that aims to locate it in the middle between foundationalism and coherentism. The foundationalism asserts the existence of fundamental core beliefs. Instead coherentism believes consistency is enough to justifybeliefs. Haack sees insufficient both proposals and presents a new model to save the best of the other two: the foundherentism. The author explains that this proposal is directed towards two objectives: the problem of the justification of our beliefs and the problem of truth. Since the proposal itself is interesting, but it’s more interesting to see this new epistemology makes by a woman philosopher, with new visions and new perspectives as her contribution.
Susan Haack on Twardowski’s refutation of the relativity of truth
This paper comments Susan Haack’s remarks about Twardowski’s criticism of relativism in the theory of truth. The author summarizes Twardowski’s arguments for truth-absolutism and tries to show that that their presentation by Haack is incomplete. The defense of Twardowski’s position in the paper uses ideas developed by Tarski and Kokoszyñska
Levitation of dust at the surface of protoplanetary disks
In recent years photophoretic forces acting on dust particles have been shown to be important for optically thin parts of protoplanetary disks. The optical surface (photosphere) of protoplanetary disks is a transitional region where the thermal radiation of the disk can escape. We show here that photophoresis by the thermal radiation is sufficient to levitate dust particles at several pressure scale heights. Under certain conditions these particles can constitute the surface layer. In this case only the particles which are most susceptible to photophoresis are observed at the surface of protoplanetary disks. In general these are small particles with low thermal conductivity, probably highly porous dust aggregates. If optical properties vary strongly for given dust aggregatesthe more absorbing aggregates are lifted the highest. Overall, levitationby thermal radiation introduces a bias into the observed dust. The surface dust does not necessarily reflect the properties of dust below the surface.</p
THE CULTURAL HISTORY OF THE INNAANGANEQ/ CAPE YORK METEORITE:TECHNICAL REPORT 2015
During the fieldwork the archaeological site recordings were done at various levels of detail at the sites that once housed the meteoric fragments known as “Woman” and “Dog” (both at Saveruluup Itilliapalua), “Ahnighito” (eastern side of Meteorite Island), and “Savik 1” (at Saveqarfik).Throughout the fieldwork the use of drone-based recordings was tested for the first time in Greenland. The results are very promising not only as a way to increase over-all precision of 2D site maps and increasing effectivity during fieldwork, but also as a way to produce 3D models that allow us to make quantitative analyses of features at the site. For example, the correspondance between on-ground calculations on the magnitude of the piles of hammer stones surrounding the find spot of “Woman” seem in precise correspondance with the calculations generated by drone measurements and software.Geo-radar surveys were done at a site on the southern shore of Meteorite Island and on the eastern central part of the island. Previous fieldwork in 2012 (by Henning Haack) showed two well-defined magnetic anomalies that potentially could be evidence of two new large meteoric pieces. The work in 2014 demonstrated that magnetometers can be used to detect buried even deeply buried iron meteorites, and that the background noise is significantly less than the expected. The additional scannings done in 2014 indicate that the anomalies are more likely to be the result of terrestial rather than extraterrestial phenomenons

El símbolo en la obra visual/verbal de Milagro Haack
The focus of this article is to approach the symbol in the visual / verbal work of Milagro Haack. It is based on the practical precepts of hermeneutics in Gadamer's vision through his work: The actuality of the beautiful: Art as a game, symbol and party (1991) for these purposes, only the symbol is taken for being an experience anthropological art. For correspondences they are used in various collages, drawings, poems and essays by the same author. It was concluded that the symbol responds to visual / verbal correspondences because there are alternatives that cross meanings by causing transpositions in the verbal representation of the images. This leads to a perception that inaugurates the previous Being in a system of equivalences demarcated by an ecphrastic line that draws the existential experience inward and, at the same time, creates a powerful imaginary exterior. But, the meaning is confused by the hermeticism of the word but not of the image. This approach to the category of the symbol due to its complexity still needs to be resolved by other researchers. Recibido: 07-04-2019 Aceptado: 01-06-201
Quality cultures in cyber-physical production systems
Quality cultures are known to be key to successful quality management in industrial production businesses. Especially from the viewpoint of practitioners, existing research on quality cultures has significant shortcomings though: It’s focus are idealistic instead of realistic organisational development goals and it makes little specific statements on the complex interactions between organisational cultures and quality practices. In addition, no research is available, which discusses how quality cultures will have to develop in the cyber-physical production systems of the future, which are considered to be one of production businesses’ major challenges. In the course of the present work, data has been gathered on the organisational cultures and the quality management of almost 500 producing businesses in the German speaking environment. The analysis of the data has especially revealed the strongly positive but largely indirect effects of so-called Clan cultures. These Clan cultures, which are characterised by high levels of employee responsibility as well as flexible problem solving, have been identified to be responsible for 40% of the success of quality practices – such as 8D Method or FMEA. In cyber-physical production systems, clan cultures will additionally be strongly needed to cope with the growing levels of technology induced complexity. The present work for the first time provides a practice oriented but empirically founded access to quality cultures in German speaking producing businesses and to the topic’s developments in the age of digitisation. The results of this work enable businesses to start the culture-based development of their quality management systems
