The difficult questions of Toomas PaulToomas Paul, born in Tartu in 1939, is a prominent theologian,church historian, New Testament scholar and translator, as wellas an essayist, and a member of Academia Scientiarum et ArtiumEuropaea. He took part in the preparation of the Porvoo CommonStatement (1992) and attended the Lutheran-Orthodox Joint Commissionfor 12 years. Paul has published 19 books and countless articles,and still often gets press coverage concerning current problemsin different fields. He is deeply interested in science and culture andhas held a constant dialogue with physicists, neurologists, historiansand other professionals. His sermons, articles, conversations on theradio and TV have always interested different communities due tohis intellectual spirit, wittiness, honesty and broad mental horizon.At the same time, his chosen topics can be uneasy (data leaks, migration,prostitution, etc.), he is equally critical towards totalitarian andconsumer societies, while he even censures some church activities.Paul studied in Tallinn and worked at eight parish churches inthe countryside from 1960 to 1986. From then on he served at StJohn’s Church in the centre of Tallinn, and, since 1989, at SutlepaChapel on the premises of the Estonian Open Air Museum.Among other things, Paul’s connection to Tartu is that his teacherand collaborator Uku Masing (1909–1985), whose legacy he interpretsand publishes to this day in cooperation with Tartu scholars,resided there. Transkraniaalne aju ultraheliuuring Eesti parkinsoni tõve haigetel
Väitekirja elektrooniline versioon ei sisalda publikatsiooneEestis läbiviidud uurimustöö eesmärgiks oli näidata aju ultraheli uuringu abil Parkinsoni tõve korral tekkivaid muutusi keskajus asuvas musttuumas, mis aitaks seda haigust diagnoosida. Täiendavalt uuriti ka ultraheliuuringu tulemuste seoseid depressiivsete sümptomite esinemisega. Tegemist on innovaatilise meetodiga Parkinsoni tõve diagnoosimiseks, mida Eestis pole varem uuritud. Uuringus osales 300 PT patsienti ja 200 kontrollisikut.
Aju musttuum sisaldab dopamiinirakke, mis Parkinsoni tõvega haigetel haiguse kulu jooksul hävinevad. Läbi kolju tehtava ultraheliuuringu käigus on võimalik mõõta musttuuma piirkonna suurust ja selle kajarikkuse (hüperehhogeensuse) asümmeetria alusel kinnitada Parkinsoni tõve diagnoosi. Uuringul määrati ultraheli diagnostiline väärtus haigete eristamiseks tervetest, mis ühtib varasemalt teistes riikides leitud tulemustega; kõige olulisemaks tulemuse mõjutajaks on vanus. Lisaks näidati erinevust vasaku ja parema ajupoole vahel, mis on seoses esmassümptomite tekkimise poolega.
Lisaks aitab ultraheliuuring kirjeldada depressiivsete sümptomite ilmnemist Parkinsoni tõvega haigetel ajutüves asuvate Raphe tuumade ehhogeensuse esinemise põhjal. Raphe tuumad osalevad virgatsaine serotoniini tootmisel, mille vähenemisel kahjustuse korral võivad tekkida depressiooni sümptomid. Uuring näitas, et ultraheli uuring võimaldab hinnata Raphe tuumade terviklikkust ja on hea meetod varjatud depressiooni sümptomite väljaselgitamiseks.
Läbiviidud uuring oli esimene ulatuslik aju ultraheliuuring Eestis, mis kinnitas ultraheliuuringu diagnostilist väärtust Parkinsoni tõve diagnoosimiseks. Lisaks teaduslikule väärtusele on sellel oluline kliiniline tähtsus seoses uue meetodi rakendamisega Parkinsoni tõve käsitluses.The aim of the research carried out in Estonia was to show by transcranial brain sonography the changes in Parkinson's disease in substantia nigra, which would help diagnose the disease. Transcranial brain sonography is an innovative method for diagnosing Parkinson's disease, which has not been studied in Estonia before.
By sonography examination of the skull, it is possible to measure the size of the substantia nigra echogenicity and confirm the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease on the basis of its asymmetry in substantia nigra hyperechogenicity. The study determined the diagnostic value of SN+ to distinguish patients from healthy ones, which is consistent with the results previously found in other countries. There was a difference between the left and right sides of the SN+ that are related to the onset of the Parkinson’s disease initial symptoms. In addition, age was the most important factor influencing the asymmetry of SN+.
The ultrasound study helps to describe the appearance of depressive symptoms in PD patients based on the occurrence of echogenicity of Raphe nuclei in the brainstem. The study showed that the transcranial brain sonography examination provides an estimate of the integrity of the Raphe nuclei and is a good method for detecting the symptoms of hidden depression.
The conducted study was the first extensive transcranial brain sonography study in Estonia confirming the diagnostic value of ultrasound in the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease.

Research of Mechanical Properties of 3D Printed Plastics
3D-printerid ja tehnoloogia on tuleviku jaoks väga tähtsal kohal, selle abil on võimalik luua erinevaid prototüüpe kui ka varuosi erinevates valdkondades, kui ka hoonete ehituses, asenduselundite ning ka kunsti teostamisel. Autori eesmärgiks oli 3D-prinditud plastide mehaaniliste omaduste uurimine. Katsete põhjal selgusid erinevad tulemused ametliku standardiga. Esmalt tehtud tõmbekatse andis tulemused, mille eesmärgiks oli määrata materjalide suhteline pikenemine ehk plastus. Selle katse ajal muutusid katsekade ristlõike pindalad väiksemaks aga tugevamaks. Katse käigus selgus, et TPU 95A venis 88 % pikemaks, teised materjalid jäid ühe kuni kahe protsendi sisse. Tugevuse katse eesmärgiks oli määrata materjalide tõmbe tugevus. Selle katse käigus kasutati materjale 3 mm läbimõõduga ning teostati kaks katset iga materjaliga. Keskmiseks tõmbetugevuseks oli 0,02 N/mm2 kuni 0,035 N/mm2. Plastide kõvaduse määramise meetodil selgus, et autori Shore A duromeerti abil mõõdetud tulemused olid mõneti erinevad ametlikust standardist. CPE+ kõvadus oli kõige suurema erinevusega autori ja tootja poolt kirja pandud tulemusega. Teiste materjalide tulemused jäid tootja andmetest natukene kõrgemaks.3D printers and technology are very important for the future, with their help it is possible to create various prototypes as well as spare parts in various fields, in the construction of buildings, replacement organs and also art. The aim of the author was to study the mechanical properties of 3D printed plastics. The tests showed different results with an official standard. The first tensile test gave results, the aim of which was to determine the relative elongation or plasticity of the materials. During this experiment, the cross-sectional areas of the test pieces became smaller but stronger. The experiment showed that TPU 95A was 88% longer, other materials remained within one to two percent. The purpose of the strength test was to determine the tensile strength of the materials. In this experiment, materials with a diameter of 3 mm were used and two experiments were performed with each material. The average tensile strength was 0.02 N / mm2 to 0.035 N / mm2. The method for determining the hardness of plastics revealed that the results measured by the author's Shore A durometer were slightly different from the official standard. The biggest difference between the result written by the author and the manufacturer was the hardness of CPE +. The results of other materials were slightly higher than the manufacturer's data
Optimization of parcel machine routes on the example of AS Eesti Post Tallinn courierpoint
Antud lõputöös uuris autor tänast pakiautomaadi veoringide ülesehitust, saadetiste mahte ja veovahendite mahutavust Omniva Tallinna kullerpunkti näitel. Lõputöö eesmärk oli leida uue hanketsükli jaoks efektiivsed ja optimaalsed veoringid pakiautomaatide teenindamiseks.
Lõputöö teoreetilises osas anti ülevaade pakiautomaatide viimase miili logistika teoreetilisest poolest. Lisaks uuris autor veebipõhiste optimeerimistarkvarade näitel, kas ja millised tarkvarad on saadaval ilma takistava maksumüürita. Võimalikuks sobivaks tarkvaraks osutus autori valikul OptimoRoute rakendus, mille kohta tegi autor ka lühiülevaate.
Teises peatükis andis autor üldise ülevaate Omnivast ning tutvustas olemasolevat Omniva Tallinna kullerpunkti teenindatavat pakiautomaatide võrgustikku ja veoringide ülesehitust.
Lõputöö empiirilises osas leidis autor lahendused järgmistele uurimisküsimustele:
• milline on tänase pakimahu olukorras veoringide efektiivsus;
• millised on tuleviku hanketsükli jaoks optimaalsed pakiautomaadi veoringid;
• milline on potentsiaalne kokkuhoid või täiendav kulu koostööpartnerite kasutamisel võrreldes Omniva omatööjõu kasutamisega.
Lisaks proovis autor kasutada valitud OptimoRoute tarkvara püstitatud ülesande lahendamisel, kas ja kui hästi sobib antud tarkvara Omniva Tallinna kullerpunkti veoringide analüüsiks ja optimeerimiseks. Käesoleva ülesande lahendamisel leidis autor, et antud tarkvara kasutamine ei ole ilma täispaketti ostmata võimalik. Autori arvates ei ole selle ülesande lahendamiseks mõistlik antud tarkvara litsentsi soetada, kuna pakiautomaadi veoringide planeerimisel on tegemist kohtkindlate aadresspunktidega, mis on päevast päeva samad ning piisab ainult ühekordsest optimeerimisest.
Töö tulemusena leidis autor, et tänased olemasolevad pakiautomaatide veoringid vajavad muutmist, kuna veoringide pakimahud on liiga kõrged ja tööajad liiga pikad. Pärast uute veoringide moodustamist teostas autor kuluarvutused koostööpartnerite ja Omniva omatööjõu kasutamise kohta. Arvutuse tulemusel leidis autor, et koostööpartnerite kasutamine on soodsam kui omatööjõu kasutamine.In the thesis, the author studied the structure of parcel machine transport routes and the volume and quality of shipments on the example of Eesti Post AS, i.e. Omniva, Tallinn courier point. The aim of the thesis was to find efficient and optimal transport routes for servicing the parcel machines for the new procurement cycle.
In the theoretical part of the thesis, an overview was given on the theoretical background of the last mile logistics of parcel machines. In addition, on the example of web-based optimization software, the author investigated whether and which, if any, software is available to use without an impeding tax wall. The author chose the OptimoRoute application as a software most likely suitable for the analysis, of which a brief overview was given by the author.
In the second chapter, the author gave a general overview of Omniva and introduced the existing network of parcel machines serviced by Omniva Tallinn courier point as well as the structure of the existing transport routes.
In the empirical part of the thesis, the author found solutions to the following research questions:
• what is the efficiency of transport routes in the case of current package volumes;
• what are the optimal parcel machine routes for the upcoming procurement cycle;
• what are the potential savings or additional costs of using cooperation partners compared to using Omniva's own workforce.
In addition, the author attempted to use the previously selected OptimoRoute software for solving the set task of whether and how suitable the software is for the analysis and optimization of the routes of Omniva Tallinn courier point.
In the process of attempting to solve the task, the author discovered that using the software is not possible without purchasing the full package. Per author's opinion, it is not reasonable to acquire a license for the software in order to solve the task, as planning parcel machine routes is based on location-specific address points which remain unchanged on a day-to-day basis, due to which a one-time optimization is sufficient.
As a result of the thesis, the author found that the current routes for parcel machines should be changed, as the delivery volumes of the routes are too high and the working hours are too long. After the formation of new routes, the author performed cost calculations on the use of cooperation partners and Omniva's own workforce. As a result of the calculation, the author found that the use of cooperation partners is less expensive than the use of own workforce
Study of slope stability using analysis software on the example of the Kurepalu dam
Käesolevas töös on uuritud nõlvapüsivuse modelleerimistarkvara Slide 6.0
kasutusvõimalusi ning leitud Kurepalu pinnaspaisu nõlvade nõlvapüsivustegurid
erinevates autori poolt programmiga loodud stsenaariumites.
Magistritöös on antud ülevaade pinnaspaisudest, nende ebastabiilseid olukordi
põhjustavatest teguritest ning Kurepalu pinnaspaisu konstruktiivsetest elementidest.
Labortingimustes on määratud kindlaks Kurepalu pinnaspaisu muldkeha
hüdrofüüsikalised ja füüsikalised omadused ning pinnase tugevusparameetrid, mida läks
vaja tõepäraste mudelite loomisel. Töös on antud ülevaade Slide 6.0 kasutusvõimalustest
ning autori poolt tarkvaraga loodud eriolukordadest, mis tekitasid loodud mudelite
paisudes ebastabiilsust.
Töö tulemusena on selgunud, et Kurepalu pinnaspaisu järgi konstrueeritud mudelid
saavutasid eritingimustes mitmel juhul nõlvapüsivuse varutegurite piirväärtused, kuigi
pinnaspaisu mudel, mis on kirjeldatud kõige täpsemalt olemasolevale olukorrale, püsis
igas olukorras stabiilsena.
Uuritud tarkvara rakendusvõimalused on laialdased ning võimaldavad antud tarkvara
kasutada edukalt hüdrotehniliste probleemide lahendamisel.The object of current thesis is to explore usage possibilities of the slope stability analysis
software Slide 6.0 and to discover the slope stability safety factors of the Kurepalu
embankment in conditions created by the Author.
In the Master's thesis the Author has given an overview about embankments, factors causing
the unstable situations and the structural elements of the Kurepalu embankment. In
laboratory conditions the soil’s hydraulic conductivity, physical properties and strength
parameters of the Kurepalu embankment were determined in order to create authentic
models with the modelling software. The author has given also an overview of the usage
possibilities of the Slide 6.0 and the overview of the special conditions created by the
Author with mentioned software that observed the embankment's model's factors of safety.
As a result of the current thesis, the Author discovered that the models, constructed on the
basis of the Kurepalu embankment, reached on several occasions the limit values of the
slope stability safety factors although the embankment model which was described most
accurately to the current situation stayed stable on every occasion.
The application possibilities of the researched software are impressive in the Author's
opinion and allow it to use the software successfully on finding solutions to certain
hydrotechnical engineering problems
Analysis of competitiveness based on the example of Auricu OÜ
Eesti ehitusturgu iseloomustab 2015. aastal stabiliseerumine. Ehitustegevus on küll hoogustunud, kuid seda peamiselt avaliku sektori tellimuste ja Euroopa Liidu [EL] abirahade toel. Samas on aga Euroopa Liidu rahastamisperioodil 2014-2020 ehitusinvesteeringute osakaal tunduvalt väiksem kui seni ning see mõjutab tugevalt ehitussektori hetkeolukorda Eestis. Ehitusmahud on 2015 aastal vähenenud, kuid ehitustööde hinnatasemed on pigem kõikuvad ning hinnalangust ehitusmahtude vähenemine kaasa ei too. Ühelt poolt toob ehitushangete vähenemine kaasa konkurentsi tihenemise, mis ehitushindu alla surub. Teiselt poolt jätkub kindlasti veel teatud aeg sisenõudluse tõus, mis survestab hindasid altpoolt. Siit saab ka järeldad, et keskmine kasumimarginaal ehitusettevõtetel lähitulevikus väheneb. Käesoleva lõputöö teemaks oli konkurentsivõime analüüs Auricu OÜ –s. Töö tegemiseks ja eesmärgi saavitamiseks kasutati konkurentsianalüüsi statistilist meetodit, mis põhineb majandusaasta aruannete ja muu avaliku info baasil. Lõputöö eesmärgiks oli välja selgitada, turupositisoon ning uue tegevusala lisandumisega tehtud kulutuste efektiivsus ning tasuvus. Samuti analüüsida ka seda, kui lihtne või raske on siseneda uue teenusega turule. Töö käigus läbi viidud juhtkonna küsitlemisena leiti, et Auricu OÜ hoiab hetkel keskmist turupositsiooni nii tööde hinna kui ka teenuste mitmekülgsuse, kompaktsuse ja kvaliteedi poolest. Selle uurimuse raames selgus, et tähtsaim ei olegi turupositsioon, vaid oluline on efektiivsus ja olla kliendikeskne. Auricu OÜ kasutab diferentseerimise strateegiat eristudes konkurentidest kompaktse teenuse, hea teeninduse ja parema töökvaliteediga, kuna ettevõttes on tööl kvalifitseeritud lepinguline tööjõud ning ettevõtte tööjõu värbamine ei ole projektipõhine. Ettevõtte jaoks on vajalik koolitatud, professionaalne ja motiveeritud tööjõud, kes on erialaselt oma oskustes kompetentsed ning oma asjaajamistes tõhusad. Antud tegevusvaldkonnas on konkurentsieeliseks ka masinapargi olemasolu, mis näitab müügikasvu võimalusi tulevikus, pidevat valmisolekut kliendi tellimusele ehk tööde efektiivsust. Kuna rasketehnika on kallis ning rentimine kulukas, siis näitab oma masinapargi omamine ettevõtte tugevust ja pidevat valmisolekut kliendi vajadustele. 2012. aastal lisandunud uue tegevusharu trassitööde tegemisega tehti suuremahulisi investeeringuid 2012. aastal ka põhivarasse rasketehnika näol summas 162 885 euri. Nii suured investeeringud aga ei suudagi end paari aastaga ära tasuda vaid vajavad pikemat perioodi tehtud kulutuste tagasiteenimiseks. Selleks et osata hinnata investeeringu otstarbekust, arvutati välja tasuvusaja näitaja, mille järgi peaks antud investeering ära tasuma 4,15 aasta pärast ehk siis aastaks 2019. aastaks. See ei ole pikk aeg selleks, et oluline osa põhivarainvesteeringust sissetulekutega kaetud saaks. Sisenemine turule uue tegevusalaga ei olnud aga sugugi keeruline, kuna ettevõte tegutseb ehitusvaldkonnas juba aastast 2007, omab pikaajalisi koostööpartnereid ning kontakte erinevatelt tegevusaladelt. Suureks edu eeliseks olid ka head kliendisuhted, koostöö ning efektiive töökorraldus ning kompetentne ja kvalifitseeritud meeskond. Konkurentsis püsimiseks ei pea omama turul liidripositisooni, vaid oluline on olla oma töödes ja tegemistes efektiivne ning kliendikeskne. Lõputöö valmimisel olid suureks abiks analüüsitava ettevõtte Auricu OÜ juhtkonnaliikmed, kes võimaldasid ligipääsu vajalikele andmetele ja informatsioonileIn 2015 the Estonian construction market will be characterized by stabilization. Construction activity has indeed picked up, but mainly thanks to public procurement and grants of the European Union (EU). At the same time, construction investments by the European Union on the funding period of 2014-2020 are significantly smaller than they have been until now, and that strongly influences the current situation of the construction sector in Estonia. Construction volumes have decreased in 2015, however the valuation of construction works is rather volatile and the decline of construction volumes will not lead to a drop in prices. On one hand, the decline of construction procurements increases competition, which represses construction prices. On the other hand, we can be sure that domestic demand will continue rising for quite some time, which will pressure prices for bellow. So it can be concluded that the average profit margin in construction firms will be reduced in the near future. The subject of this work is the analysis of competitiveness in Auricu OÜ. In order to complete the work and accomplish the purpose, a method of statistical analysis of competitiveness was used, which was based on annual reports and other public information. The aim of the thesis was to determine the market position and the efficiency and profitability of costs made for the addition of a new field of activity. Also to analyse how easy or difficult it is to enter the market with a new service. Through the interviewing of the board during the work, it was found that Auricu OÜ currently holds a average market position regarding the prices of the work, as well as versatility, compactness and quality of services. The author of the subject finds that the key does not lie in the market position, but in efficiency and being customer driven. Auricu OÜ uses a strategy of differentiation distinguishing itself from competitors through a compact service, good providing service and better quality of work, because it employs qualified contractual labour force and the company's recruiting is not project-based. The author of the thesis believes that project-based labour force would save the company a significant amount of money, but also the company could not be sure of the competence and skill levels of that kind of labour force. The company requires trained, professional and motivated labour force, who are professionally competent in their abilities and efficient in their dealings. In this area of service the existence of a machinery park is also a competitive advantage, which shows potential for sales growth in the future and constant readiness to customers' orders, ie work efficiency. As the rental of heavy equipment is expensive and leasing costly, owning a machinery park shows the strength and constant readiness of the company to the customers' needs. With the pipeline works of the new field of activity, which was added in 2012, large investments were made in the same year into fixed assets in the form of heavy machinery in the amount of 162,885 EUR. Investments as large as these will not be worthwhile after a few years, but need a longer period to earn back the expenditure. In order to assess the feasibility of the investment the author of the thesis calculated the payback indicator, according to which the investment should pay off after 4,15 years, ie by the year 2019. It is the opinion of the author that that is not a long time for a important part of the fixed assets to be covered by the income of the investment. Entering the market with a new service was not very difficult at all, because the company had been operating in the construction industry since 2007, owns long-term cooperation partners and contacts in various areas of activity. At this point, the author finds that the bigger advantages for success were also good customer relations, effective labour organization and a competent and qualified team. In conclusion, the author of the thesis wishes to say that to stay in competition one does not need to be in a leader's position, but instead, it is important to be effective and customer-oriented in their works and doings. The board members of Auricu OÜ, who facilitated access to the necessary data and information, were of great help to the completion of the thesis

Baasettevõte OÜ Welmet on tegutsenud 24 aastat ja püüab aasta-aastalt muutuda paremaks. Ettevõtte jätkusuutlikkuse seisukohalt on äärmiselt oluline tootlikkus ja tööviljakus. Iga väärtusahela lüli mõjutab vahetult tootlikkust. Tihenevates konkurentsitingimustes tuleb ettevõttel leida üha uusi võimalusi lülide parendamiseks ja kulude kokkuhoiuks. Baasettevõtte poolt püstitatud eesmärgid said täidetud korrektselt, uus tootmisjaoskond sai planeeritud vastavalt ettevõtte eripärasusi ja võimalusi arvestades. Lõputöö alguses püstitatud probleemid said lahenduse ja kogu ettevõtte sai ümberkorraldatud nii, et saavutada veelgi paremaid tulemusi. Uue keevituskonstruktsioonide tootmisjaoskonna evitamine on ettevõtte jaoks väga tähtis, sest selle planeeringu tõttu saab ettevõte oma tootlikkust tõsta. ISO 3834 juurutamisega võidab ettevõtte korrastatud toimimisprotsessi ja ka olulise müügiargumendi erinevatel turgudel tegutsemisel. Autori nägemus selle lõputööga oli panna alus ettevõtte arengule parema tuleviku nimel. Ettevõttel on vaja liikuda välja oma mugavustsoonist ja peab endale peaeesmärgiks seadma tootlikkuse suurendamise, sest see on parim viis raha teenimiseks. Uuringu tulemusel selgus, et keevitajal lasub kruvisektorite keevitamisel riskitase 2 raskuste käsitsi teisaldamisel ning see tähendab, et keevitajale tagatakse ettevõtte poolt ergonoomiline ja tervist säästev abinõu kruvi sektorite keevitamisel. Autori poolt planeeritav tootmisjaoskonna investeeringu mahuks on 447,8 tuhat € ja tasuvusaeg tema kasutusele võtmiseks on 3,7 aastat. Tasuvusaeg kooskõlastati ettevõtte omanikega ja see sai positiivse tagasiside. Omanike kaks kriteeriumi saab täidetud, et oleks tagatud kaasaegsed tingimused ja motiveeritud töötajad. Tuleviku perspektiivis kindlasti tegeleb autor edasi ettevõtte efektiivsuse tõstmisega ja pideva parendamisega. Pakutakse välja järgmised sammud ettevõtte konkurentsivõime parandamiseks. Hetkeseisuga näeb autor sisemiste protsesside parendamist timmitud tootmise põhimõtetel, sest see tähendab pidevat oma tegevuse ja protsesside täiustamist, et vähendada kulusi, lühendada tarneaegu ja parendada kvaliteeti. Lõputöö autorile andis tehtud töö märkimisväärselt palju teadmisi tootmiseplaneerimisest. Kogu lõputöö vältel saadud tagasiside juhendajatelt, omanikelt ja kolmandatelt isikutelt on tulevaks eluks väga vajalik. Saadud uutele kogemustele ja teadmistele tuginedes julgeb autor rohkem teha täiendavaid ettepanekuid ja nõuandeid, mis aitaks kaasa ettevõtte arengule.Base company OÜ Welmet has been operating for 24 years and is trying to become better year by year. Nowadays, the competition continuously amplifies and being competitive the company must continually evolve. In intensifying competing conditions, the company must find new alternatives to reduce expenses. The stated goals of the base company were correctly completed, a new production department was planned by considering the specific characteristics and possibilities of the company. The hypothesis were answered and the entire company was reorganized to achieve even better results. The new implementation of welding construction department is very important for the company, because due to its plans the company can increase its productivity. Inculcationing ISO 3834, the company wins a structured workflow and also an important sales argument operating in the various markets. Author`s vision in this thesis was to lay the foundation for the company`s development for a better future. The company is required to move out of its comfort zone and need to establish increasing the productivity as its main goal to earn more money. As a result of the research, the welder has a risk level 2 in welding screw sectors while moving heavy things manually. Due to it, the company has to ensure the welder an ergonomical and health sustainable equipment. According to the author, planned investment volume in production department is 446,5 thousand euros (EUR) and the payback period of its implementation is 3,7 years. The payback period was coordinated with the owners of the company and it got positive feedback. These two criteria’s of the owners, where the modern conditions need to be ensured and employees have to be highly motivated, will be covered. In the future perspective, the author will certainly continue with increasing the efficiency of the company and its constant improvement by providing certain steps to improve the company`s competitiveness. At the moment, the author sees the improvement of the internal processes of lean manufacturing principles, because it means a continued improvement in its activities and processes to reduce costs, shorten delivery times and improve quality. To the author, this thesis gave a significant amount of knowledge in production planning. Throughout the thesis, the given feedback from supervisors, owners and third parties is very necessary for further life. Relying on new experiences and knowledge the author dares to do more further suggestions and give advice, which could contribute the development of the company
