LPManager, et Hjelpeverktøy for Tverrfaglige Eksamener og Yrkesfaglig Fordybning
Get PDFDenne oppgaven presenterer forskning rundt design og evaluering av en høykvalitets-prototype i form av en web-applikasjon med navn LPManager. Dette design science prosjektet har gått gjennom en designprosess med stort fokus på sluttbrukeren. Prosessen inkluderte totalt tre lærere fra Tertnes Videregående skole, og fem eksperter innen brukeropplevelse. Utviklingsprosessen bestod av flere designiterasjoner fra lavkvalitets-prototype til en interaktiv høykvalitets-prototype, og resulterte i en applikasjon med en fungerende modul for yrkesfaglig fordybning. Denne modulen lar lærerne importere en klasse, velge elev, redigere opplysninger, og skrive ut en PDF som skal legges ved elevens vitnemål. Formålet med LPManager er i første omgang å assistere lærere som underviser linjer som har tverrfaglig vurderingsmateriell som en del av sitt utdanningsløp. LPManager vil trolig gjøre en nåværende manuell og tungvint prosess mer effektiv, oversiktlig, og generelt gjøre det lettere for lærere i slike utdanningsløp når det kommer til prosessen yrkesfaglig fordybning og behandling av elevinformasjon og læreplanmål. Etter initielt intervju med en av lærerne på Tertnes videregående skole, ble det gjort antagelser angående faktorer verktøyet LPManager vil kunne forbedre i forskjellig grad. Antagelsene rundt forbedringsfaktorer omhandler blant annet et drastisk kutt i tiden lærerne bruker hvert semester på å lage vedlegg som skal ut til elevene, noe som også kan ha en naturlig påvirkning på den arbeidskraften som er nødvendig å tildele slike oppgaver. I tillegg ble det antatt at LPManager kan ha en innvirkning på opplevd produktivitet blant lærerne, samt redusering av antall feil i vitnemålsvedlegg for elevene. Det ser ikke ut til at det per dags dato finnes verktøy som gjør akkurat det LPManager er tiltenkt å gjøre. Resultatene i oppgaven indikerer at antagelsene om tidsbesparing, og opplevd produktivitet, og antall feil i vitnemålsvedlegg er korrekte, men videre forskning kan være nødvendig for å understreke funnene
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system applications. While substantial
literature addresses the implementation of CRM systems, there is a lack of research
focusing on the effects of these systems, particularly in relation to conflict handling
and communication.
This thesis aims to investigate whether CRM systems and the cross-understanding
perceived by the seller influence communication quality, communication
complexity, norms, and conflict handling within B2B relationships. Additionally, it
examines whether formal contracts have a mediating effect on these relationships.
To achieve this objective, the study utilized a sample of 62 relevant respondents
from companies in Norway, specifically targeting individuals who hold roles as
sellers in B2B relationships. The data were collected through a detailed survey and
analyzed using regression analysis. The analysis revealed the following significant
findings. Cross-understanding was found to mediate the effects of CRM systems on
norms, communication quality, and communication complexity. This suggests that
a seller's comprehension of the CRM system and the shared understanding between
parties can enhance these aspects of business interactions. Furthermore, formal
contracts were identified as mediators in the relationship between crossunderstanding
and the same variables, highlighting the role of formal agreements
in facilitating effective communication and adherence to norms.
Based on these results, we discuss the theoretical and managerial implications,
providing actionable insights into the practical applications and contributions to
existing literature on CRM systems in B2B contexts. The research contributes to
the limited body of knowledge on the effects of CRM systems by demonstrating
their impact on key aspects of B2B communication and conflict management.
Furthermore, this research underscores the importance of not only implementing
CRM systems but also understanding their broader impact on business processes
and relationships
