The basal panels of female subgenital plate each with a blunt conical tubercle at outer apex (Fig. 4H). Ovipositor shorter (Fig. 4I). Fastigium of vertex tapered, slightly exceeding the base of antennal socket, with a longitudinal groove posteriorly. Frons relatively flat and nearly square (Fig. 3A). Anterior margin of pronotum slightly convex, posterior margin broad and rounded; surface of disk almost smooth, with 2 transverse grooves, posterior transverse groove positioned behind the middle (Figs. 3B, C). The anterior margin of tegmina arched while posterior margin nearly straight, the length from Rs to R greater than to M of the tegmina, and the length from M to Cu as same as to Rs. The middle portion of Sc close to R, and the tip of tegmina blunt. Hind wings shorter than tegmina and transparent. Fore coxae with a spine. Fore femur longer than pronotum. Both dorsal carinae unarmed. Fore femur ventrally with 4–7 inner spines, mid femur ventrally with 6–9 inner spines, hind femur ventrally with 9–13 inner spines. Hind femur with black stripe on internal surface (Fig. 3F). Prosternum unarmed, meso- and metasternum strongly transverse, the former with entire, non-crenellated anterior margin (Fig. 3D). Epiproct ovoid, length almost equal to width, slightly concave apically. Cerci relatively longer and slender, longer than epiproct, and curved inwards apically. Subgenital plate gradually narrows toward the apex, base with membranous part and gaped in dry specimen, the tip stalk-shaped. Styli very long, wide at the base, narrowing towards the end, and pointed in terminal (Figs. 3G, H). Female: Much larger than the male. Tegmina slightly recurved at apex. Epiproct long tongue-shaped or rectangular, nearly 1.5 times as long as wide. Cerci elongate and conical, curved inwards apically. Ovipositor robust, longer than length of hind femur, with a curved ventral edge, the apical area with 4 fine, sharp angled folds. Dorsal margin of the ovipositor not as straight as in O. montanus, basal half of the dorsal valve straight, the dorsal margin of the apical half narrowred toward the ventral surface; distal half of dorsal margin armed with fine teeth (Fig. 3J). The basal panels of subgenital plate expanded at inner apex to triangular lobules, the apical lobe of the subgenital plate with a narrow but deep notch (Fig. 3I). Measurements (in mm): Male: SZ 44.3–52.28, PR 6.2–7.15, FW 36.5–42.64, HF 16.9–19.95; Female: SZ 69.27–71.94, PR 8.93–9.13, FW 58.87–60.39, HF 24.64–24.65, OV 33.36–34.26. Etymology: Species name nigrisartorius means a black stripe inside the hind femur, its position just like the sartorius muscle to human thigh.     Neste breve ensaio procuro apresentar uma poética composicional, tendo por base um cruzamento entre pensamento específico da pintura chinesa e noções da filosofia ocidental que dialogam com tal pensamento. Proponho assim um cruzamento das noções de quatro autores Gilbert Simondon, Gilles Deleuze e Félix Guattari e Xie He: as noções de modulação e ritornelo em contraponto aos seis cânones da pintura clássica chinesa, propostos pelo pintor e calígrafo chinês Xie He, no séc. V. De certo modo retomo a relação entre Xie He e a filosofia da diferença através do que está traçado nos escritos e aulas de Gilles Deleuze. O ponto de articulação entre as diferentes proposições está justamente no conceito de Ritornelo, proposto por Guattari e Deleuze em seu livro Mille Plateaux. e na modulação como motor principal deste conceito (compreendida a partir das proposições de Gilbert Simondon). Ao longo do ensaio apresento os dois primeiros cânones da pintura chinesa, os aproximando passo a passo da noção de modulação para, por fim, apresentar uma leitura do conceito de ritornelo e o modo como tais conceitos, noções e cânones podem se fazer presentes no processo composicional da música atual

Fastigium of vertex conical and furrowed, protruding over the edges of antennal base, with a medial longitudinal groove posteriorly. Frons relatively flat, nearly square, and inclined backwards (Figs. 6A, B). Surface of pronotum without granular protrusions, the anterior margin slightly arcuate, and the posterior margin blunt and rounded (Fig. 6B). Lateral lobes longer than deep, the front and back margins nearly straight (Fig. 6C). The apex of tegmina somewhat recurved and pointed, Rs farther from the R than M, which located almost in the middle between Cu and Rs. Sc far from R from the base to the end. The tip of the tegmina pointed. Hind wings shorter than the tegmina and transparent. Both dorsal carinae unarmed. Fore coxae with a spine. Fore femur ventrally with 4–7 inner spines, mid femur ventrally with 6–10 inner spines, hind femur ventrally with 12–15 inner spines. No black stripe on the inner side of the hind femur (Fig. 6F). Prosternum unarmed, meso- and metasternum strongly transverse, the former with entire, non-crenellated anterior margin (Fig. 6D). Epiproct ovoid, shorter than the length of cerci, and emarginate at the end. Cerci long and conical, with spines at the end and curved inwards (Fig. 6G). Subgenital plate gradually narrows toward the end, and the end stalk-shaped. Styli significantly long, thickened at the base, narrowing towards the end, and pointed at the end (Fig. 6H). Female: Larger than male. Generally, the tip of tegmina recurved and pointed (Fig. 6E, Fig. 8), C and Sc area broader than female of other species (Fig. 8). Epiproct longer than wide, oval, with a shallow notch at the end. Styli conical and long. The basal half of the dorsal valves of the ovipositor straight, the distal half narrowing from the base to the end. Base of the ovipositor yellowish-brown, then gradually darkened (Fig. 6J). Subgenital plate as in O. nigrisartorius, a triangular wide notch in the center of the rear edge, with rounded corners on both sides (Fig. 6I). Measurements (in mm): Male: SZ 52.44–53.95, PR 7.17–8.06, FW 41.74–46.20, HF 17.62–19.72; Female: SZ 67.63–72.24, PR 9.47–10.10, FW 57.41–59.13, HF 21.77–22.98, OV 32.17–32.34. Etymology: Species name grandivalvatus relates to the ovipositor being long and robust. Side lobes abdominal edge with tumors (Figs.12B, C). Front corners of mesosternum protruding tooth-shaped (Fig. 12D). Fore femora on the ventral inside edge with 5–9 spines, 3–9 spines on the outside edge. Hind femora with 12 lower outer, 8–13 lower inner and 11 upper median spines. Fore femora and median femora dark ventrally. Tegmina with almost truncated apical part (Figs. 5I, J). Epiproct nearly oval, with intermediate longitudinal ridge (Fig. 12E). Cerci robust, almost conical (Figs. 12E, F). Female: Similar to male in general appearance, but larger than male. Subgenital plate subtriangular, notched in terminal (Fig. 12G). Ovipositor wide relatively, distal half of dorsal margin armed with fine teeth (Fig. 12H). Comparison. H. (T.) spinosus robustus subsp. nov. is very similar to H. (T.) spinosus spinosus (Figs. 11A–H; 12A–H), but differs in the size (length of pronotum, tegmina, and hind femora of male in H. (T.) spinosus robustus subsp. nov. are 7.7–7.9, 35.8–36.2 and 18.9–20.6mm respectively, but these are 7.3–8.3, 30.3–34.2 and 17.6–19.6 mm in H. (T.) spinosus spinosus, respectively). H. (T.) spinosus robustus subsp. nov. have more spines on hind femora dorsally than H. (T.) spinosus spinosus (11 vs. 7–9). Measurements (in mm): Male: SZ 45.0–47.9, PR 7.7–7.9, FW 35.8–36.2, HF 18.9–20.6; Female: SZ 59.2, PR 10.5, FW 47.9, HF 22.3, OV 19.4. Etymology: Subspecies name robustus means it’s stronger than H. (T.) spinosus spinosus.     Furthermore, the present research is going to indicate that many historians and theologians have failed to take serious the diasporic context when articulating their concepts of traditional Chinese culture and of the Chinese identity. In fact, Xie Fuya, as a diasporic Chinese after 1949, did not define his Chinese identity and the Chinese culture in territorial or political terms. Instead, he shared the viewpoints of those overseas Chinese who were struggling to survive in diasporic contexts. And his diasporic experience and horizon generated a critical understanding of Chinese culture and indigenous theology as well as their relationship. Even now, some scholars in Mainland China continue to emphasize that indigenous theology should be understood, discussed and applied within the social, political and cultural contexts of Mainland China only. However, their understandings of Chinese culture and Chinese identity, as well as the related methodology of indigenous theology they have employed, need to be examined critically.In addition, the thesis will argue that this diasporic identity constitutes a significant ingredient of Xie Fuya's indigenous theology and contributes to Xie's new understanding of his own indigenous theology of Christianity in a post-1949 diasporic environment. Xie's indigenous theology, especially his theological method, aroused furious discussion among Chinese Christian intellectuals in and after the 1960s. Such discourse was identified as a significant break of historical continuity between the past generation and the next of Chinese Christian intellectuals in Hong Kong.The present research aims at pointing out that the relevant historical materials do not support the above conclusions-that Xie Fuya did not concern the social and political situation of his homeland and indwelling place(s). In fact, historical evidences show that Xie as an indigenous theologian, not only spent time on bridging the relation between Christian message and Chinese culture, but also paid much effort in social construction and political participation. All these were done both before and after 1949.The present thesis aims at investigating how the Chinese Christian intellectual Xie Fuya, responded to a diasporic movement resulting from the drastic political change of China in and after 1949. He tried to construct a unique and new identity that he had never had before-an identity that helped him to face the diasporic environment and generated a new horizon of his understanding of his faith. Showing the contents of this identity; the thesis illustrates how unique Xie's diasporic identity was expressed in the community of Chinese intellectuals and Chinese Christians during the 1950s and 1960s. That identity could not have been created, experienced and articulated by any Chinese and Christians inside Mainland China at that time.The significance of this research does not only rest in its showing that a significant and important figure like Xie Fuya has been neglected in the historical and theological studies of Chinese Christianity in the past; it is significant also because it discloses how the thought behind the identities of a diasporic Chinese and Chinese Christian bears significance in a historical context and contributes to a new understanding of the Chinese identity, the Chinese culture and indigenous theology from a different perspective---which is different from the past and is closely related to cultural, anthropological and theological studies of our times.The thesis will argue that it is Xie Fuya's experience of being forced to leave his homeland and the reflection of his Christian thought and experience that helped formulate his diasporic identity. Furthermore, both the fate of Chinese overseas in different areas because of the change of international politics, and the understanding of his own ethnicity and culture through the discourse among the Chinese intellectuals in Hong Kong, helped reinforce the articulation of that dislocating identity.Xie Fuya (1892-1991), one of the most prolific Chinese theologians of the 20th century, has so far been largely ignored in the historical or theological studies of Chinese Christianity. Even worse, Xie Fuya has been seriously misunderstood by some historians of Chinese Christianity. Some of them labeled him as a representative of the indigenous theologians who focused exclusively on the relation between Christianity and Chinese culture without any concern for the relevance of the Christian message to the contemporary social change. Some stereotyped him as one of the Chinese Christians who made a far-fetched comparison between Chinese culture and Christianity.
