No abstracts are to be cited without prior reference to the author.The system of seamounts Rockall-Hatton is situated to the west of the British is-lands (55°-59° N; 14°-17° W). The minimal depths above these underwater heights is some 160-500 m. Ichthyofauna is represented approximately by 120 pelagic and bottom fish species belonging to 60 families (Kukuev at al., 2000)

Robert Edwin Hatton, Jr. (November 15, 1907 - December 13, 1984) was born in Glasgow, Kentucky to Robert Edwin Hatton and Harriet McFarland. Hatton taught in a high school in Greenup, Kentucky before attending the College of Law. He practiced law in Louisville. Hatton served as counsel for the Kentucky Bankers Association and the Kentucky Tax Research Association. Additionally, he served as chairman of the Kentucky Unemployment Insurance Advisory Council during the Clements administration. Hatton was a veteran of World War II and he was appointed commanding officer of Kentucky\u27s first Marine Corps Reserve unit after the war.
