Comparison of Author Productivity of Cancer Research Journal and Circulation Journal of 2013-2022 Using Lotka's Law
The purpose of this study was to compare author productivity and the conformity of the frequency distribution of author productivity in the Journal of Cancer Research and the Journal of Circulation. This research is comparative research using a quantitative approach. The research sample was determined by using the disproportionate stratified random sampling method. The results of productivity calculations using Lotka's Law show that the percentage of authors contributing to one article in the Journal of Cancer Research for the straight count method is 97.1%. At the same time, that in the Journal of Circulation is 94.6%. The percentage for the complete count and adjusted count methods in the Journal of Cancer Research is 90.3%, while that in the Journal of Circulation is 83.8%. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test results show a significant difference between the theoretical frequency distribution of Lotka's Law and the frequency distribution of article authors in the Journal of Cancer Research. This is indicated by the maximum deviation value (Dmaks) being more significant than the critical value at the real level of 0.05, namely precisely in the complete count and adjusted count methods with a Dmaks value of 0.0310 and a critical value of 0.0117. The study results show that by looking at the contribution of article authors, authors from the Journal of Circulation are more productive than those from the Journal of Cancer Research, with the highest article contribution being 28 articles by Deepak L. Bhatt from the Journal of Circulation. The conformity of the frequency distribution of author productivity in the Circulation Journal does fit Lotka's Law of author productivity. This is shown in the straight count, complete count, and adjusted count methods, while the Cancer Research Journal only fits in the straight count method.114 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

This study aims to examine the relationship between author collaboration and citation count in the Social Science Computer Review journal from 2016 to 2022. The research method used is associative research. Data collection was conducted using documentation techniques with an analysis unit consisting of 380 articles. The results show that out of the 380 analyzed articles, 308 articles (81%) were produced by collaborative authors and 72 articles (19%) were written by single authors. To determine the type of authorship of the articles, bibliometric analysis was carried out by measuring the degree of collaboration. The degree of collaboration in 2016 was 0.8, in 2017 it was 0.73, in 2018 it was 0.8, in 2019 and 2020 it was 0.85, and in 2022 it was 0.82. The average degree of collaboration during the 2016–2022 period was 0.80. In the Social Science Computer Review journal from 2016 to 2022, there was no significant relationship between single authorship and citation count, with a correlation coefficient of (ρ = 0.16). However, there was a very strong relationship between collaborative authorship and citation count, with a correlation coefficient of (ρ = 0.93). The direction of the relationship is positive, meaning that the more articles produced by collaborative authors, the higher the number of citations those articles receive.97 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
Produktivitas Pengarang pada Jurnal Collection and Curation Tahun 2018-2021 Berdasarkan Hukum Lotka dengan Pendekatan Complete Count
This research are a study in Bibliometrics that examines Lotka's Law, where aims to analyze the pattern of the author productivity in a Collection and Curation a Journal beetween the years 2018-2021 using the complete count Method. A descriptive with quantitative method of documentation used for this study, where data analysis are collected by accessing the internet and summarizing the required data. This study examines all articles from a journals of Collection and Curation published during 2018-2021, there are 131 articles with 71 authors, this is mentioned in the unit of analysis. The calculation results shows that the value of n parameter is 4.9889 with the C is 0.9695. Kolmogorov-Smirnov's test result shows that Dmax = 0.0306 at the critical value level with α = 0.05, are 0.1188, where with level α = 0.01, the critical value is 0.1065. This means that Dmax are smaller than each critique value, that meaning are there is no significant difference gap between the distribution of authors for the Journals of Collection and Curration beetween 2018-2021 with Law theory of Lotka's. There are 4 person from the 131 authors who are the most productive author in the Collection and Curation Journals in 2018 – 2021 using the complete count method, which are; Anna Leonard, Lilly Hoi Sze Ho, Matthew Kelly, and Nkholedzeni Sidney. Based on the number of contribution to articles, each author had contributed to 2 articles. The results of this research prove that the accuracy of Lotka's theory, and disclose that the productivity pattern for the Journals of Collection and Curation in 2018-2021 are in accordance with the theoretical predictions of Lotka's Law.72 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan

Authors’ Collaboration and Reasons for Collaborating in Writing Library and Science Information Articles Published in Journals from The Netherlands in 2021
This study aimed to investigate authors‘ collaborative works and reasons for collaborating in writing journal articles in the field of Library and Information Science in 2021 published by journals from the Netherlands. This study focused on 6 journals, namely Journal of Informatics, Ethics and Information Technology, Scientometrics, Education for Information, Information Retrieval, and Archival Science. This descriptive study employed the documentation method that was applied by collecting all articles from the Internet. The population of this study included 730 articles. However, the number of authors who collaborated and included their email addresses in their articles was 548. Nonprobability sampling using the Slovin formula was used to select 91 authors, but only 20 authors were able to take the time to reply to the researchers‘ e- mails. To determine the level of collaboration, C=Nm/(Nm+Ns) formula was used. Then, to calculate the reasons, P=F/N x 100% formula was applied. The results of the research show that the level of author collaboration in writing in journals on Library and Information Science which belong to Q1 category in 2021 is 0.75. Therefore, it can be concluded that there are more journal articles written collaboratively than individually. Then, in terms of reasons for collaborating, 4 authors mentioned that they worked at the same institution (20%), 5 authors said that there was a division of working with different skills (25%), 1 author mentioned that he needed assistance (5%), 7 authors said that they were students and mentors (35%), 1 author stated that they were friends (5%), 1 author mentioned that the article required in-depth expertise (5%), and 1 author said that he liked to collaborate with the other author (5%). Moreover, the reason why the authors carried out collaboration to focus on topics that have never been researched is because it required in-depth research and their likes of collaborating.160 PagesSkripsi Sarjan
Produktivitas Pengarang Berdasarkan Gender pada Jurnal Men And Masculinities Tahun 2018-2022 Menggunakan Dalil Lotka
This study aims to find out how author productivity is based on gender in the Journal of Men and Masculinities in 2018-2022 using Lotka's postulate. This research uses Lotka's legal theory of author productivity. The method used in this research is descriptive, and data collection is done by tracing articles published in journals during a predetermined period. The unit of analysis in this study is all articles published in the Journal of Men and Masculinities in 2018-2022, totalling 304 articles and 515 authors. The calculation results showed that n (exponent) is 4.40529, and the result of C (constant) is 0.952907. Thus, the contribution of writing one article is about 95.29% of the authors who contributed over five years. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test results with α = 0.05 (95% confidence level) showed the critical value at the fundamental level is 0.0620 with a Maximum Deviation value of 0.0195. This indicates that the Maximum Deviation value is smaller than the critical value at the basic level, which means there is no significant difference between the theoretical value of Lotka's law and the observed value of author distribution in the Journal of Men and Masculinities in 2018-2022. This study shows that based on gender, the most productive authors are women. This study also indicates that Tristan Bridges is the most productive author of the Complete Count, Adjusted Count, and Straight Count calculation techniques. This study concludes that the results of calculating author productivity in the Journal of Men and Masculinities in 2018-2022 are in accordance with Lotka's postulates, and the most productive gender in writing is women.104 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan
