Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) among building construction workers / Siti Nur Anis HasnanWork-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) among building construction workers / Siti Nur Anis Hasnan
Introduction: The construction industry is often associated with risky and dangerous work. Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) is one of the common work-related disorders among the construction workers. It contributes to the main cause of the absenteeism and loss of productivity in this industry. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors of Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) among the construction workers. Method: A cross sectional study was conducted on 140 of construction workers. Recruitment of the respondents was based on volunteer basis and systemic random sampling. The workers who have part time job are strictly excluded from this study. Modified Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (MNMQ) was used to complete the data collection and determining the prevalence of the MSDs among them using the technique of face-to-face interview, while Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) was used to assess the risk of getting MSDs among the construction workers. SPSS was used to statistical analysis via chi-square test to indicate the association between the MSDs and the risk factors. Result: MNMQ showed the highest prevalence in MSDs in the lower back (69.8%) and followed by MSDs in neck (62.8%) during the last 12 months. The probable risk factors that contribute to WMSDs were mostly lifting and bending in awkward way, static posture during working and repetitive tasks due to the job demand. There were significant association between the MSDs in neck and one motion pattern repeated at high frequency (p=0.003). MSDs in lower back showed the significant relationship with prolonged same position; standing, bend over, sitting and kneeling (p=0.031). MSDs in lower back also have a significant association with bending and twisting in awkward way (p=0.04). Result of the REBA Score revealed that 46% of the workers were under level three of getting MSDs, 31.4% categorized under level four, 17.4 % level two followed by 7% of workers critically under level five. Conclusion: Relatively high frequency of one motion pattern repeated and WMSDs among the workers denoting the high circumstances that required special attention. The prolonged of static posture and awkward postures of bending and twisting also play the role as the risk factors for these disorders. Ergonomic interventions must be focused on reducing the exposure to physical risk factors specially, repetitive tasks, prolonged static posture and poor posture

A One-Way Car-Sharing Based Approach for Combined Shared Mobility of Freight and Passengers
Climate change stresses the need for research and development of innovative sustainable mobility solutions that provide reliable and convenient door-to-door services for both passengers and freight. The increase in urban population and the popularity of e-commerce further highlights the need for action. In this regard, crowd-shipping is often perceived as an efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable alternative (or complement) to the management of urban freight mobility through efficient utilization of current transportation capacities. In this framework, inspired by the concept of MaaS (Mobility as a Service) in integrating various forms of transport and transport-related services into a single on-demand mobility service, this paper proposes a car-sharing-based service for the combined mobility of passengers and freight. In doing so, one-way car-sharing and crowd-shipping concepts are integrated in order to serve part of the existing freight demand in a sustainable and cost-efficient way for users, societies, and the environment. An optimization model is proposed to optimally plan the activation of one-way car-sharing and crowd-shipping services and to determine the optimal number of vehicles to assign to them. Such decisions are aimed at minimizing the total imbalance by serving passenger and freight demand during different time periods. In doing so, the willingness of users to carry freight in their vehicles is also taken into consideration. The capability of the proposed approach is evaluated through representative numerical examples aimed at showing the impact of the model parameters on the solution.Transport and Plannin
The awareness and interest of UiTM Pahang population towards the virtual tour / Anis Hasliza Abu Hashim, Maslina Abdul Aziz and Mazliana Hasnan
The development of virtual reality is still expanding which leads to the growth of the increasingly popular virtual tour technology. The use of 360-degree panoramic images that allows people to view the environment without having to physically be at the location has increased with more online users experiencing this technology. This paper describes the awareness of UiTM Pahang population on the technology of virtual tour. It also includes factors that influence the interests of UiTM Pahang population to use this technology. Virtual tour can enhance the presence of UiTM Pahang as well as provide much information to remote and prospective users

Embracing the future of the policy sciences: big data in pedagogy and practice
Although the emergence of Big Data provides an opportunity to synthesize and mobilize ever greater amounts of policy-relevant knowledge, it has not received adequate attention in studies of policy pedagogy and practice. In this chapter, we highlight the relevance of Big Data to policy analysis, policy implementation, and policy studies through a discussion of basic machine learning techniques and an illustration of their application in the case of better understanding policy response to COVID-19. Subsequently – based on a bibliometric review of nearly 2,500 publications on big data in public policy and content analysis of course titles and descriptions in 122 programs worldwide – we make an evidence-informed appeal to increase the uptake of big data in policy research as well as teaching. We conclude that appropriate engagement with the big data phenomenon can help the policy sciences remain relevant and move a step closer to integrating policy research, pedagogy, and practice.Green Open Access added to TU Delft Institutional Repository ‘You share, we take care!’ – Taverne project https://www.openaccess.nl/en/you-share-we-take-care Otherwise as indicated in the copyright section: the publisher is the copyright holder of this work and the author uses the Dutch legislation to make this work public.Organisation & Governanc
Campus virtual tour: Exploring the potentials for Malaysian Universities / Mazliana Hasnan … [et al.]
Many international universities have now shifted from using text and still
images to display information to providing virtual tour of the campus in their
websites. The tour enables users to explore the selected locations with the
images navigable at their own pace. This paper explores the potentials of
employing such approach for Malaysian universities. A prototype of a local
campus virtual tour was developed to evaluate the effectiveness of the
approach. The results of user evaluation reveal that the experience of touring
the campus virtually has great potentials as the lour is claimed as cost saving.
convenient and can have long and lasting impact on the users
Comparative Study between Baha’ al-Din Naqshband Bukhari’s Two Books of Anis at-Talibin and Maqamat
These two books Anisatolibin and Maqamat-e-Naqshband are among the oldest and most important sources about Baha' al-Din Naqshband (718 -791) and his principles. More resources about Baha' al-Din Naqshband are often taken from Anis at Talibin book and many of the Maqamat’s topics are shared by Anis at Talibin. In this article, Baha' al-Din and his principles were introduced from the point of view of the authors of these two books and then the comparative analysis of the two works, the style of writing, the amount of poetry, ideas, and common themes, the position of women, miracles as well as the type and direction of miracles in them, should be examined. The comparative comparison of the two books showed that a large proportion of the Maqamat-e-Naqshband shared with Anis at Talibin and this suggests that Anis at Talibin was probably one of the main sources of the author of the Maqamat-e-Naqshband
