No full textAvrupa Ekonomik Topluluğunun (AET) oluşumuyla birlikte birçok ülke bu topluluğa üye olmak istiyordu. Türkiye topluluğun gücünü görmeye başlamıştı ve üye olmanın kendisine büyük avantajlar sağlayacağını düşündüğü için üyelik başvurusunda bulunmak istiyordu. Türkiye ve Avrupa Birliği (AB) ilişkileri, üyelik süreci tarihi, Türkiye ve Avrupa Birliği arasında olan anlaşmalar, gelinen noktalar, gelişmeler ve değişiklikler uzun yıllardır devam etmektedir. 50 yılı aşkın bir sürenin geçmesine rağmen Türkiye halen Avrupa Birliğine tam üye olamamıştır. Üyelik aşamaları Türkiye için çok önemli olsa da aynı zamanda zorlu bir süreç olarak değerlendiriliyordu. Bu çalışmada Türkiye-AB ilişkilerinin nasıl başladığı, üyelik sürecinde imzalanan anlaşmalar, müzakereler, Türkiye'nin üye olamamasının sebepleri, üyelik alternatifi tartışmaları ve önerileri yer alacaktır.Along with the formation of the European Economic Community (EEC), many countries wanted to join this community. Turkey started to see the power of the community and wanted to apply for membership considering that being a member would provide great advantages. Turkey and European Union (EU) relations, history of membership process, agreements between Turkey and the European Union, points reached, developments and changes have been going on for many years. Turkey has not yet become a full member of the European Union, despite the 50 years that have passed. Although membership stages were very important for Turkey, at the same time they were regarded as a difficult process. This study will include how Turkey-EU relations started, agreements signed during the membership process, negotiations, reasons for not becoming a member, discussions and recommendations on membership alternative

Tulisan ini ingin menjelaskan penafsiran Ibnu Abbas menegenai Surat Al-Fatihah dalam kitab Tafsir Tanwi>rul Miqba>s yang disusun oleh Fairuz Abadi yang merupakan ulama abad pertengahan yang lahir pada tahun 729. Dalam menjelaskan penafsiran Ibn Abbas penulis menggunakan metode library research atau studi kepustakaan untuk menjelasakan metode yang digunakan oleh Ibn Abbas dalam menjelaskan Surat Al-Fatihah. Pembehasan ini pada dasarnya telah dijelaskan beberapa penelitian dan beberapa jurnal diantaranya yaitu karya Hasan Asyari yang menjelaskan Tafsir Ibn Abbas, selain itu Nuri Hayatti dalam skripsinya juga menjelaskan Tafsir Ibn Abbas. Terdapat perbedaan dari dua penelitian ini yaitu dalam tulisan ini penulis hanya membahas tafsir Al-Fatihah.

No full textThis study had as its objects the literary work Azur & Asmar, written and illustrated by Michel Ocelot, 2007 edition, and the film Azur & Asmar: The Prince’s Quest, directed and animated by the same author, in 2006. The objective of the research was to understand the relationship of the category of content and form present in the works as possibility for expanding the reader’s competence and worldview about human diversity. For the development of the work, the bibliographic research methodology with a critical-dialectical approach was used. The analysis allowed to state that reading and understanding the elements of the content and form of the works are essential for the global comprehension of the textual meanings and an important educational process capable of promoting reflection and racial equality.Este estudo teve por objeto a obra literária Azur & Asmar, escrita e ilustrada por Michel Ocelot, edição de 2007, e o filme As aventuras de Azur e Asmar, dirigido e animado pelo mesmo autor, em 2006. O objetivo da pesquisa foi o de perceber a relação da categoria de conteúdo e forma presente nessas obras como possibilidade de ampliação da competência leitora e visão de mundo acerca da diversidade humana. Para o desenvolvimento do trabalho, utilizou-se a metodologia de pesquisa bibliográfica com abordagem crítico-dialética. A análise permitiu afirmar que a leitura e a compreensão dos elementos do conteúdo e a forma das obras são indispensáveis para a compreensão global dos sentidos textuais e um importante processo educativo capaz de promover reflexão e equidade racial.Este estudio tuvo como objeto la obra literaria Azur y Asmar, escrita e ilustrada por Michel Ocelot, edición 2007 y la película, Las aventuras de Azur y Asmar, dirigida y animada por el mismo autor, en 2006. El objetivo de la investigación fue el de percibir la relación de la categoría de contenido y la forma presente en las obras como posibilidade de ampliación de la competencia lectora y visión del mundo sobre la diversidad humana. Para el desarrollo del trabajo se utilizó la metodología de investigación bibliográfica con enfoque crítico-dialéctico. El análisis permitió afirmar que la lectura y la comprensión de los elementos del contenido y la forma de las obras son indispensables para la comprensión global de los sentidos textuales y un importante proceso educativo capaz de promover la reflexión y la igualdad racial

Automating the determination of wave speed using the pu-loop method
No full textThe PU-loop (pressure-velocity loop) is a method for determining wave speed and relies on the linear relationship between the pressure and velocity in the absence of reflected waves. This linearity of the PU-loop during early systole, which is directly related to wave speed, has always been established by eye. This paper presents a new technique that establishes this linearity and thus determining wave speed online. Pressure and flow were measured in the ascending aorta of 11 anesthetised dogs. The slope of the PU-loop, indicating wave speed was determined by eye and by using the new technique. The difference between the slopes of the two methods is in the order of 3%. The new technique is convenient and allows for the online assessment of wave speed, which could be used as a bedside tool for the assessment of arterial compliance

DB 2020: Analyzing and Forecasting DB Market Trends
No full textabstract: Over the last two decades, Alternative Project Delivery Methods (APDM), such as Design-Build (DB), have become more popular in the construction industry, specifically in the U.S., and the competition for APDM projects has risen among construction companies. The Engineering News Record (ENR) magazine analyzes DB firms and publishes the list of the top 100 every year. According to ENR articles and many scientific papers, the implementation of DB method has grown drastically over the last decade, however, information about growth trends depending on firm size and segment is lacking. Also missing is knowledge the future market trends over the next five years. Furthermore, public agencies and DB firms may be worried that DB projects do not distribute wealth equally among DB firms. Using the top 100 firms deemed representative of the DB market, the author has divided the market into volumes based on rankings to analyze the total DB market revenue growth. A comparison between international and domestic revenues indicated that the top five DB firms have 64% more involvement in the international market compared to the domestic market. Furthermore, while the research shows increasing market share only for the top five firms, the author has found that (1) a large portion of their market share is due to a large growth in their international market, and (2) revenues for all volumes of the DB market have increased. Moreover, regression and time series analyses allow for the forecasting of the DB market growth, which the author anticipate to move from about 150B in 2020.Dissertation/ThesisMasters Thesis Construction 201
