The interrelation among environmental quality, public accounts, and macroeconomic fundamentals: An analysis of OECD countries using machine learning techniques
This study explores the intricate relationships among environmental quality, public finance indicators, and socioeconomic variables in OECD countries, using Machine Learning (ML) techniques for the period 1990–2021. The research uniquely identifies key factors influencing renewable energy consumption (REC) by incorporating various public finance indices, macroeconomic fundamentals, trade measures, and socio-economic variables. By emphasizing the role of public debt policies, the study uncovers their significant yet complex and non-linear influence on renewable energy adoption. Unlike existing studies, this research utilizes Neural Networks (NN), a state-of-the-art ML technique, to generate robust and reliable outcomes. This methodological innovation sets the study apart by offering more accurate feature importance scores compared to traditional econometric methods. The findings advance our understanding of the crucial role that public finance plays in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG-7, and underscore the necessity of effective public debt management for fostering environmental sustainability. Policy implications drawn from the results provide actionable recommendations for governments to enhance REC adoption while achieving broader environmental goals
AI-Based Modelling and Processing Technologies for Hydrogen Creation
This research aims to thoroughly analyse recent advancements in method demonstration and the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in integrated hydrogen production and carbon capture. The primary objective is to offer a detailed account of the anticipated role of AI in shaping future research endeavours related to blue hydrogen production and carbon capture. This involves a focus on Machine Learning (ML) applications in material development and process optimisation. The research provides an overview of AI and cycle demonstration in a relevant context, accompanied by a concise examination of recent developments in blue hydrogen production. The foundational instruments of AI modelling and processing are briefly outlined, and their application in blue hydrogen creation is discussed, considering both advantages and drawbacks. Ultimately, the research aims to deliver a comprehensive overview of the advancements in ML, emphasising its substantial contribution to accelerating blue hydrogen generation, particularly in the realms of material and process development. AI modelling and processing technologies are preferred for hydrogen creation due to their superior ability to optimise complex, data-intensive processes and accelerate material innovation, overcoming the limitations of traditional modelling methods
A critical analysis of Christian responses to Islamic claims about the work of the Prophet Muhammad, ‘the Messenger of God’.
The aims of this study are to analyse critically the different Christian responses to the Islamic understanding of the work of Muhammad. Chapter one consists a short introduction leading to an appraisal of Muhammad which incorporates historical, hagiographal and Quranic source material, and in the light of relevant Christian and Muslim scholarship. The second chapter presents a summary critical analysis of Muhammad in Christian theological perspective, from 661 A.D. to modern times. Chapter three presents a critique of Christian responses to the Muslim allegations that the text of the Bible has been infected with corruption; and that Muhammad's advent and status are foretold in the unadulterated' scriptures, and in the Gospel of Barnabas. Chapter four examines the theological significance of the work of Muhammad for Christians. Thus, Jesus and Muhammad are critically assessed and contrasted in order to ascertain the importance, for Christians, of the Muslim claims in respect of Muhammad as ’the messenger of God’. Chapter five provides a critical evaluation of the various Christian responses to Muhammad. It is argued that many of the said responses have been entangled in myths and misperceptions which have severely distorted the true account of Muhammad's work. Consequently, many Christians have failed to appreciate the divine legitimacy of Muhammad's call to prophethood. Further, it is argued that Christians should accept that Muhammad is a genuine prophet, and the messenger of God. However, Muhammad's use of the power-structure in order to maintain Islam is in sharp contrast to Jesus’ decision to face the consequences of his ministry passively through faith in God. Accordingly, orthodox Christian belief in the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus provides another dimension to prophethood, where the messenger and the message become one, an identification which finds no parallel in Islam, and which, in the nature of the case, cannot find a parallel
Pioneers of Library Movement in Pakistan
The paper aims to describe in brief the contribution of seven leaders of Pakistan librarianship, viz. K.B. Khalifa M. Asadullah, Prof. Dr. Abdul Moid, Dr. Abdus Subuh Qasimi, Muhammad Shafi, Fazal Elahi, Khawaja Nur Elahi and S. V. Hussain. The early library developments are given for better understanding of the role of these leaders
