Qian Daxin's 錢大昕 Study of History as Textual Research
It is commonly believed that Qian Daxin applied the method of textual research used in Confucianism to the study of history. Accordingly, the main thrust of this paper will be to clarify the nature of Qian Daxin's historical studies in the context of its relationship with the Qing 清 period's textual approach, developed as a means to expound the Confucian Classics. It is my opinion that, firstly, in his commentaries on the Confucian Classics, Qian Daxin gave due regard to the meaning assigned to words in the Han period. At the same time his was a typical interpretation, resulting from a positive approach based on the phonetic analysis of Ancient Chinese used. An attempt will be made to prove the above and also to verify that Confucian values played a role in his commentaries. Furthermore, it will be confirmed that Qian Daxin thought of the study of Confucian Classics and history as being one and the same. Accordingly, Qian Daxin's research of history, which was said to be objective and positive in nature, was indivisible from the study of Confucianism. This background of Confucian metaphysics supported his positivism and also made possible subsequent active development. The above was considered within the context of textual research in the Qing period
Clinching of Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Composite and Aluminum Alloy
The extensive use of carbon fiber-reinforced composites and aluminum alloys represents the highest level of automotive body-in-white lightweighting. The effective and secure joining of these heterogeneous materials remains a prominent and actively researched topic within the scientific community. Among various joining techniques, clinching has emerged as a particularly cost-effective solution, experiencing significant advancements. However, the application of clinching is severely limited by the properties of the joining materials. In this work, various clinching processes for the joining of composites and aluminum alloys reported in recent research are described in detail according to three broad categories based on the principle of technological improvement. By scrutinizing current clinching technologies, a forward-looking perspective is presented for the future evolution of clinching technology in terms of composite–aluminum joints, encompassing aspects of tool design, process analysis, and the enhancement of joint quality. This work provides an overview of current research on clinching of CFRP and aluminum and serves as a reference for the further development of clinching processes

Robust Platoon Control of Mixed Autonomous and Human-Driven Vehicles for Obstacle Collision Avoidance: A Cooperative Sensing-Based Adaptive Model Predictive Control Approach
Obstacle detection and platoon control for mixed traffic flows, comprising human-driven vehicles (HDVs) and connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs), face challenges from uncertain disturbances, such as sensor faults, inaccurate driver operations, and mismatched model errors. Furthermore, misleading sensing information or malicious attacks in vehicular wireless networks can jeopardize CAVs’ perception and platoon safety. In this paper, we develop a two-dimensional robust control method for a mixed platoon, including a single leading CAV and multiple following HDVs that incorporate robust information sensing and platoon control. To effectively detect and locate unknown obstacles ahead of the leading CAV, we propose a cooperative vehicle–infrastructure sensing scheme and integrate it with an adaptive model predictive control scheme for the leading CAV. This sensing scheme fuses information from multiple nodes while suppressing malicious data from attackers to enhance robustness and attack resilience in a distributed and adaptive manner. Additionally, we propose a distributed car-following control scheme with robustness to guarantee the following HDVs, considering uncertain disturbances. We also provide theoretical proof of the string stability under this control framework. Finally, extensive simulations are conducted to validate our approach. The simulation results demonstrate that our method can effectively filter out misleading sensing information from malicious attackers, significantly reduce the mean-square deviation in obstacle sensing, and approach the theoretical error lower bound. Moreover, the proposed control method successfully achieves obstacle avoidance for the mixed platoon while ensuring stability and robustness in the face of external attacks and uncertain disturbances
