THE PROCESS OF CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT IN EARLY CHILDREN: THE ROLE OF FAMILY, SCHOOL, AND COMMUNITY IN PERSPECTIVE
Unbeknownst to many, a child's character does not develop spontaneously; instead, it undergoes a process that involves specific phases, particularly during early development, especially for young children. Parental attention in shaping a child's character during this period is crucial. In forming the character of young children, the environment and the family role-play a significant influence. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method to explore this process. In this article, the researcher examines the process of forming the character of young children, focusing on three main elements: family, school, and community. The research findings indicate that the formation of the character of young children begins with the family, is further influenced by the school, and involves the role of the community, including play communities and talent development courses attended by young children. Nevertheless, the family remains the primary and foremost factor in the process of shaping a child's character, being the most minor and highly influential community for them

The data analysis used is qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The teacher's teaching activities in cycle I were in the sufficient category, while in cycle II they were in the good category. Student learning activities in cycle I were in the poor category, while in cycle II were in the good category. The results of the study showed that the average value of learning outcomes in cycle I was in the poor category (incomplete), while in cycle II there was an increase in learning outcomes with the average student score is in the good category (complete) and has met the established Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). Thus, it can be concluded that through the implementation of the Make a Match type cooperative learning model, Indonesian language learning outcomes can be improved for fourth grade students at SD Inpres Mannuruki 1, Biringkanaya District, Makassar
STUDENT STRATEGIES IN LEARNING VOCABULARY
This research is based on the idea that students must use in daily interactions in school language programs. Therefore, learning vocabulary is very important for improving students' language skills. Students should learn as much vocabulary as possible to communicate well with others. This study investigates students’ vocabulary learning strategies outside of classroom activities. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods, where the researcher implements interviews and observation as data collection techniques. Researchers used observations to understand the school environment where students learn in school language programs. Researchers used semi-structured interviews with three students as participants to find out strategies for learning vocabulary. The interview technique used was focus group discussion to reduce students' nervousness in expressing ideas. The data obtained was then divided into several classifications of vocabulary learning strategies by Schmitt (1990), namely determination, social, memory, cognitive and meta-cognitive strategies. The research results show that students often use meta-cognitive strategies to improve their vocabulary skills

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
