    Stephanie Kulp Seymour, a 2005 Oklahoma Women's Hall of Fame inductee and judge on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, recalls her high school and college days leading to juris doctorate from Harvard Law School. She talks about various positions with law firms, gender differences, and applying for a position as a district judge. Seymour discusses the application process and being selected by President Jimmy Carter. She goes on to explain some of the activities she had a district judge, a chief judge, and a judge with senior status.     Making a market for Miscanthus: Can new contract designs solve the biofuel investment hold-up problem?

    We present designs for optimal contracts to solve the investment hold-up problem for perennial crops for the biofuel industry. A fixed-price contract is ex-ante efficient but renegotiation-proof for a limited range of discount parameters. A perfectly- indexed contract is both renegotiation-proof and ex-post efficient.
