    Coq Support in HAHA

HAHA is a tool that helps in teaching and learning Hoare logic. It is targeted at an introductory course on software verification. We present a set of new features of the HAHA verification environment that exploit Coq. These features are (1) generation of verification conditions in Coq so that they can be explored and proved interactively and (2) compilation of HAHA programs into CompCert certified compilation tool-chain. With the interactive Coq proving support we obtain an interesting functionality that makes it possible to carefully examine step-by-step verification conditions and systematically discover flaws in their formulation. As a result Coq back-end serves as a kind of specification debugger

    “哈哈(haha)” in WeChat Chinese Conversations

Few studies have considered the micro-analysis of written laughter in the digital world in its sequential context (beyond frequency and distribution). The present study fills this gap by examining “transcribed” laughter “哈哈(haha)” in Chinese conversations on WeChat from a conversation analytic perspective. A line-by-line analysis was conducted to identify how speakers use “哈哈(haha)” in different sequences to perform different social actions. This study has shown that the sequential environments of the laughter “哈哈(haha)” in WeChat Chinese conversations can be classified into three types: TCU-initial “哈哈(haha),” TCU-end “哈哈(haha)” and stand-alone “哈哈(haha).” These three types of “哈哈(haha)” perform the actions of mitigating disalignment, managing failure or misconduct, and displaying minimal engagement, respectively. The findings expand the current conversation analysis literature on laughter by describing the use of written laughter in a previously unexamined context and help both native and non-native speakers better navigate informal Chinese digital communication and avoid misunderstandings.&nbsp

    No full text
This digital image (exhibited as part of History/Reality: An Attic Archive Installation, Matthew Gallery, April 2024) was created in 2024 from a drawing that annotates a series of oral history interviews Bodor conducted in May-June 2021 at the Scottish Oral History Centre, Edinburgh, with haha, who emerged as the latest character of the Attic Archive, an old man in his 70s on 1.1.2020. The interviews explored the entire history of the Attic Archive from 1975 as told from today's perspective by haha. Bodor used a type-written ‘alphabetical script’ with input from the artist as a guide to avoiding chronological storytelling. The drawing on top of the type-written script records the conversations as they emerge, mapping the connection between people and artworks created across decades by different characters. The Map became a key navigation tool helping research across archives in the new research network project 'Curating The Digital Attic Archive' (2024-2025), funded by the Royal Society of Edinburgh Research Network Award. The digital image has been exhibited at the DJCAD Research EXPO 2024 and later as part of History/Reality: An Attic Archive Installation

As other regions of Morocco, the argan forests of Haha country undergoes for several decades the consequences of the cyclic droughts, the population boom and the development of the poverty. Indeed, the periods of drought of the years 1970-1980-1990 aggravated the poverty of Haha people. This urged the main part of the population to develop mechanisms of survival, as the exploitation of the wood energy, the consequences of which on the argan ecosystem, already weakened, are enormous.Como otras regiones de Marruecos, la arganeria de Haha sufre desde varias décadas las consecuencias de las sequedades cíclicas, de la explosión demográfica y del desarrollo de la pobreza.
