Streszczenie
Staw kolanowy jest największym stawem ludzkiego organizmu i jednocześnie stawem, który najczęściej ulega uszkodzeniom. Złożona i specyficzna budowa stawu kolanowego oraz jego umiejscowienie (na przedłużeniu dwóch długich dźwigni łańcucha kinematycznego) powodują, że jest on podatny na występowanie przeciążeń, urazów oraz dysfunkcji. W leczeniu dysfunkcji stawu kolanowego stosuje się wiele specjalistycznych metod terapeutycznych, jednak szczególną uwagę warto poświęcić metodzie Kinesiology Taping. W pracy przedstawiono podstawy oraz możliwości wykorzystania metody Kinesiology Taping (KT). Zaprezentowano wybrane aplikacje dynamicznego plastrowania znajdujące zastosowanie w terapii wybranych dysfunkcji stawu kolanowego.
Abstract
The knee joint is the largest and most frequently damaged joint of the human body. The location (in the extension of the two long levers kinematic chain), complicated and specific construction of the knee joint cause that joint is susceptible to overload, injuries and dysfunctions. In the treatment of dysfunction of the knee joint is used many specialized therapeutic methods, but special attention should be given for Kinesiology Taping method. The paper presents the base and the possible use of Kinesiology Taping (KT). Summary
Rett syndrome is a rare, progressive neurological disorder that affects mostly female patients. It is a syndrome of pervasive developmental disorders of the neural, skeletal and gastrointestinal systems. According to the statistics Rett syndrome occurs in approximately
1 : 10 000 – 15 000 live births. Besides the classical form of the syndrome, there exist an atypical variation and the clinically distinct form with preserved speech. The authors present a case of a patient suffering from atypical Rett syndrome variant, with no MECP2 gene mutation.

Streszczenie
Zespół Retta jest rzadkim, postępującym schorzeniem neurologicznym występującym głównie u dziewczynek. Jest to zespół całościowych zaburzeń rozwoju współistniejących w obrębie układu nerwowego, szkieletowego oraz żołądkowo-jelitowego. Według danych statystycznych częstość występowania zespołu Retta szacowana jest na 1: 10 000 – 15 000 urodzeń. W zespole Retta można wyróżnić klasyczną postać, nietypową postać oraz postać odmienną klinicznie z zachowaną mową. Autorzy przedstawiają opis przypadku pacjentki z nietypową postacią zespołu Retta, u której nie występuje mutacja genu MECP2.

Summary
Headache is a common occurrence in modern society. International Headache Society (IHS) classifies over 80 different kinds of headache. Spontaneous headaches might indicate dysfunction or disorder of cervical spine. The article presents the case of a 17-year-old patient suffering from cervicogenic headache. Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using the Mulligan method have been discussed on the basis of the case study. The results, possibilities and unique biomechanical effect of SNAG (sustained natural apophyseal glides) techniques has also been presented.
Streszczenie
Bóle głowy są powszechnym zjawiskiem obserwowanym we współczesnym społeczeństwie. Klasyfikacja International Headache Society (IHS) wyróżnia ponad 80 różnych rodzajów bólów głowy. Szczególną uwagę należy zwrócić na samoistne bóle głowy, które mogą być związane z dysfunkcjami i zaburzeniami kręgosłupa w odcinku szyjnym. W pracy przedstawiono przypadek 17-letniego pacjenta z bólem głowy pochodzenia szyjnego. Na przykładzie opisanego przypadku omówiono postępowanie diagnostyczne i terapeutyczne z wykorzystaniem metody Mulligana. Zwrócono szczególną uwagę na efekty, możliwości oraz unikalny efekt biomechaniczny technik „SNAG” (sustained natural apophyseal glides).

Streszczenie
Boks jest dyscypliną sportową polegającą na bezpośredniej walce na pięści dwóch zawodników, według określonych zasad przy ograniczonym polu uderzeń. Istotą boksu jest pokonanie przeciwnika poprzez pozbawienie go możliwości dalszej rywalizacji. Specyfika boksu wiążę się z dużym ryzkiem występowania urazów i kontuzji. W pracy zaprezentowano wybrane aspekty medyczne związane z boksem. Opisano czynniki ryzyka i przyczyny urazów i kontuzji w boksie. Dokonano analizy występowania urazów i kontuzji u pięściarzy. Zwrócono szczególną uwagę na uszkodzenia w obrębie głowy.
Abstract
Boxing is a sport consisting in direct fistfight two players, according to certain rules with a limited field of strokes. The essence of boxing is to beat your opponent by depriving it of the possibility of further competition. The specificity of boxing correlated with a risk of injuries and injury. The paper presents selected medical aspects associated with boxing. The paper described the risk factors and causes of injury in boxing. The work was done analysis of the existence of injury to the boxers. Special attention is paid to damage the head.

Spontaneous headaches might indicate dysfunction or disorder of cervical spine. The article presents the case of a 17-year-old patient suffering from cervicogenic headache. Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using the Mulligan method have been discussed on the basis of the case study. No full textThe author shares his reflections on state of art in housing and urban planning, deficiencies, expectations and possibilities in the Sahel region of Africa. He notices, that the housing problem in Africa is one of the challenges, which should be solved in order to recover life dignity of African people and secure their rights to traditional family life in acceptable conditions. The paper describes the studies on the typical dispersed urban structures and the need to foster this type of settlement structure and proposals of introduction of new on light steel frame housing system in the area of Sahel, combining the traditional way of building houses with modern technology. The particularly analysed case, is the housing problem in the Republic of Chad. The author presents the basic discussion on this topic and his architectural proposals. Unfortunately, the gap between the needs and the financial feasibility of housing construction in this area, makes this project already at the starting point extremely difficult to be realized without external subventions.Problem mieszkaniowy w Afryce jest jednym z wyzwań, które należy rozwiązać, aby Afrykanie mogli odzyskać godność życiową i zabezpieczyć swoje prawa do tradycyjnego życia rodzinnego w akceptowalnych warunkach. W artykule opisano badania nad typowymi rozproszonymi strukturami miejskimi i potrzebą wspierania tego typu struktur osadniczych oraz propozycji wprowadzenia nowego systemu konstrukcji domów, opartym na lekkim szkielecie stalowym, łączącym tradycyjny sposób budowania domów z nowoczesną technologią. Przypadkiem szczególnie analizowanym jest problem mieszkaniowy w Republice Czadu. Autor przedstawia podstawową dyskusję na ten temat i swoje propozycje architektoniczne. Niestety luka między potrzebami mieszkaniowymi w Czadzie a finansową wykonalnością budownictwa mieszkaniowego w tym obszarze sprawia, że projekt ten, już w punkcie wyjścia, jest niezwykle trudny do realizacji bez uzyskania zewnętrznych dotacji
