The ability of biochar and activated biochar as arsenic adsorbent / Munirah Abdullah Hadi
The experiment was conducted to investigated the ability of biochar and activated biochar as arsenic (As) adsorbent. Adsorptions of heavy metal such as arsenic (As) onto EFB biochar and EFB activated biochar have being studied using batch adsorption method. This study was carried out to examine the adsorption capacity of the EFB biochar and EFB activated biochar in removing arsenic (As). Batch adsorption method was conducted with different initial arsenic (As) concentrations to give different final equilibrium concentration as a function as solute adsorbed per gram of adsorbent. The potential adsorption by EFB biochar and EFB activated biochar for arsenic (As) removal was investigated to determine the efficiency of the biochar and activated biochar as the adsorbents. The initial concentrations was highest were equilibrium relationships between adsorbent and adsorbate which is described by adsorption isotherms model which give the capacity of adsorbent for an adsorbate. Result shows the adsorption rate increased with increased of level concentration of arsenic (As). Results indicated that the EFB biochar is locally available, low cost adsorbent and treated as economically viable for the removal of metal ions from mining or agriculture effluents
Awareness on green hotel environmental management system (EMS) practices and revisit intention / Izwan Hadi Mohamed Abdullah
With the escalation over environment concern, more hotels had started to engage with environmental practices. Various studies later paid their attention on the EMS implementation in the hotel settings. Despite huge emphasis made on literature pertaining the EMS, little has been known of its impacts from the perspectives of the end users. This study wants to fill this research gap. Therefore, this paper attempted to discover the EMS awareness of green customers and its relation towards intention to revisit. A total of 270 cases were gathered from three certified green hotels in Kuala Lumpur. Research findings reveal that customer’s awareness on EMS practiced by the hotel does have an impact towards their intention to revisit with full mediation effect of green satisfaction is found. New framework is proposed aligning with study result. The implication and limitation of this study are presented and discussed

Greenhouse disease of oil palm seedlings and their causal pathogen in UiTM Melaka Campus Jasin / Akmal Hakim Abdullah Hadi
Malaysia is among the top countries in the world in producing oil palm. Nowadays, the number of oil palm production plays a significant role in Malaysia economic growth. The diseases that attack the oil palm leaves were became a major problem in the early growth stage of oil palm such as Culvularia leaf spot that caused by Culvularia sp., Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp elaeidis (Foe), Corticium leaf spot caused by Corticium solani. It was became a problem when hard to be eradicated and taken several methods to eliminate it. Therefore, the main objectives of this study were to recognize and define what type of leaf diseases and its causal agents on oil palm seedlings. Next, to determine disease incidence and distribution of leaf diseases on oil palm seedlings reared in the greenhouse structure. Last but not least, the purpose control on the disease that attacked oil palm seedlings. In this study, disease that I found in the greenhouse three UITM Jasin were found and isolated it to identify what type of disease that attack the oil palm seedlings leaves. In vitro studies, the sample of leaf diseases were collected and its causal agent induced to grow on PDA. Four type of diseases were identified which were Culvularia leaf spot, Fusarium wilt, Common spear rot and Rhizoctonia solani. The most leaf disease attacked on oil palm seedlings was Culvularia leaf spot at 41% incidences. The causal agent for each of leaf diseases have been identified after isolation and observation under microscope based on their microscopic characteristics (Conidia and hyphae). The most recommend control methods have been identified to control common spear rot, Rhizoctonia solani and Culvularia leaf spot was using the biological control method such as Bacillus subtillis, Tricoderma harzianum and wild basidiomycetes. But the most effective approach in controlling fusarium wilt was using the resistances cultivars
Evaluation the resolution of : [GPR radargram] influenced by [LNAPL] based different type of frequency / Abdullah Hadi Shabri
The contaminated o f subsoil usually happens because o f the leakage of hydrocarbon from buried
tanks or pipe. Hydrocarbons usually come in the form of liquids and gaseous with different
saturation. These hydrocarbons will interfere with electromagnetic wave from GPR and give an
effect to GPR data. The purpose of this paper is to determine the resolution o f GPR radargram
based on different frequeny. Objectives of this study are to evaluate the vertical and horizontal
resolution o f GPR radargram based on different antenna frequency for clean and contaminated soil
and to analyse the accuracy of GPR resolution for high and low frequency. The experiment were
conducted using dual antennae ground penetrating radar (GPR) systems with frequency of 250
MHz and 800 MHz were deploy. As a prelude to acquisition o f field data, a simulation o f GPR
surveys was held on a site in UiTM Aran, Perlis. A pvc pipe was planted in 3 different soil which
are fine sand, coarse sand and gravel. The depth of the pipe was approximately 0.5m from the
surface o f soil. GPR survey were done on the original soil condition and then a new GPR scanning
were conducted after the soil had been contaminated by diesel. Next the GPR data being process
and filter by using REFLEXW software to get the necessary parameter to calculate and analyze
the resolution o f radargram. The output o f this study shows that the influence o f diesel in soil give
a rise in relative permittivity o f media and thus affected the horizontal and vertical resolution

The influence of mainstream and underground music towards social life case study: among students in Faculty of Music, UiTM Shah Alam / Abdullah Hadi
Most of music students take their idol as their guidance to increase their good lifestyle during study otherwise they also can release tension with their friends after tired of doing assignment and study. Most of them realize the consequences and the bad effects if they didn't control their behaviour during study. Student's lifestyle mostly influences by what they always did or the other term is their hobby. Music was the main aim for researching student's lifestyle because it is the most obvious way they spent their life on. Basically we can see it among teenage students because of their age was the biggest of number that who's always listen to any genre of music and take it for their hobbies. There are many types of genre which the teenage students like to hear. There are likes metal, R 'n' B, pop, rock, ballad, and many more. This music actually can influence them to their lifestyle and behaviour, for the examples like music students in UiTM Shah Alam. Besides, music students have their own characteristic and they would influence other students. In this moment, those students might form their own clique. In this situation, they: might be choosing their friends who love similar music influence as theirs. The reason of this situation is because they are influenced by their music and it has become their lifestyle
