The Author on Stage Björn Ranelid as Performance Artist
Media development has profoundly affected the literary public sphere. Authors as well as politicians may feel obliged to follow “the law of compulsory visibility” (John B. Thompson). All contemporary writers, be it bestselling authors or exclu-sive, high brow poets, must in one way or another reflect on their marketing and media strategies. Meeting and communicating with the audience, the potential readers, is of critical importance. In the article “The Author on Stage”, the authors consider how different literary performances by Swedish novelist Björn Ranelid (b. 1949) help establish his “brand name” on the literary market place
Björn Lindman: Fifty years in science and technology.
Björn Lindman has for fifty years had an active role in science and technology. His main contributions are briefly described. In the science part particular emphasis is put on his studies of ion binding, of amphiliphilc self-association, of molecular diffusion in solution and of polymer-surfactant systems. Furthermore we describe his role in introducing scientific areas, his role in scientific collaborations and his contributions to scientific organizations. The text is concluded by some personal reflections by the author

Therapeutic activity of multiple common γ-chain cytokine inhibition in acute and chronic GVHD
Key Points
Monoclonal antibody blockade of the common γ chain attenuates acute and chronic GVHD. Common γ-chain cytokines increase granzyme B levels in CD8 T cells, which are reduced upon CD132 blockade in vivo

Removable singularities for hardy spaces
In this paper we study removable singularities for Hardy spaces of analytic funtions on general domains. Two different definitions are given. For compact sets they turn out to be equal and moreover independent of the surrounding domain, as was proved by D. A Hejhal For non-compact sets the difference between the definitions is studied. A survey of the present knowledge is given, except for the special cases of singularities lying on curves and singularities being self-similar Cantor sets, which the author deals with in other papers. Among the results is the non-removability for Hp of sets with dimension greater than ρ. 0 < ρ < 1. Many counterexamples are provided and the Hp capacities are introduced and studied. This is an electronic version of an article published in:Anders Björn, Removable singularities for hardy spaces, 1998, Complex Variables and Elliptic Equations, (35), 1, 1-25.Complex Variables and Elliptic Equations is available online at informaworldTM:http://dx.doi.org/10.1080/17476939808815069Copyright: Taylor & Francis Grouphttp://www.informaworld.com
