Ptuj and other real places in the narrative prose of Miha Remec
V drugem delu magistrske naloge sledi analiza literarnih del. Osrednji del predstavljajo povest z dramsko predlogo in dva romana, ki so prostorsko umeščeni v mesto Ptuj in okolico. V njih so predstavljeni zgodovinski, politični in kulturni vidiki Ptuja. Ob tem so prikazane možnosti pojavitev kolektivne memorije, geniusa loci in regionalne identitete. The master thesis with the title Ptuj and other real places in the narrative prose of Miha Remc focuses on the setting, i.e. the town Ptuj, the birthplace of the author of the discussed literary works, Miha Remc.
The first part of the thesis introduces the theoretical concepts for analysis, which is the theory of the narrative space in literature, the theory of urban novel, the theory of real places identification in literature as well as the introduction of central chronotopes according to Bahtin. The theoretical part of the thesis includes the role of the city as the narrative space in foreign and Slovenian literature as well as the importance of collective memory and Genious Loci in literature.
The second part of the master thesis includes the analysis of literary works. The central part are the tale with dramatic material and two novels, which are placed into the town of Ptuj and its surroundings. They present the historical, political and cultural aspects of Ptuj. The possibility of occurrences of collective memory, Genious Loci and regional identity are also shown. This part also includes descriptions of surroundings which show whether Ptuj is playing a role of an urban town or not. The novels are also discussed after the chronotope categorisation according to Bahtin. This is followed by the analysis of other narrative works of Remec, which do not include Ptuj, however many other real places occur in them as well as the comparison to the descriptions of Ptuj. At the end of the thesis there are also connections of works or real places, which occur in these works, with the authors life
Lah–Ribarič type inequalities for (h, g; m)-convex functions
Recently introduced new class of (h, g; m)-convex functions unifies a certain range of convexity, thus allowing the generalizations of know results. In this paper we prove Lah–Ribarič type inequalities for (h, g; m)-convex functions from which we obtain inequalities of Hermite–Hadamard, Fejér, Giaccardi, Popoviciu and Petrović. © 2021, The Author(s) under exclusive licence to The Royal Academy of Sciences, Madrid
FOURIER TRANSFORM INFRARED EMISSION SPECTROSCOPY OF LaH AND LaD
Author Institution: University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ 85721.; University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada N2L 3G1.The electronic emission spectra of LaH and LaD were investigated in the 750 nm to spectral region using a Fourier transform spectrometer. The bands were excited in a lanthanum hollow cathode lamp in the presence of a mixture of neon and or . The observed bands have been classified into two electronic transitions. and (following the notation for YH in J. Chem. Phys. 101, 9283-9288 (1994). The laH bands observed in the region with Q-heads at and have been assigned as the 0-0 and 1-1 bands of the transition. To higher wavenumbers a group of bands observed in the region have been assigned into and sub-bands of a new electronic transition . The rotational analysis of the 0-0 and 1-1 bands of each transition has been carried out and the equilibrium constants for the ground and excited states have been obtained
Refinements of the integral form of Jensen’s and the Lah–Ribarič inequalities and applications for Csiszár divergence
In this paper, we give refinements of the integral form of Jensen’s inequality and the Lah–Ribarič inequality. Using these results, we obtain a refinement of the Hölder inequality and a refinement of some inequalities for integral power means and quasiarithmetic means. We also give applications in information theory, namely, we give some interesting estimates for the integral Csiszár divergence and its important particular cases. © 2020, The Author(s)

Spoj tradicionalne tehnike ulja na platnu s nekonvencionalnim kontekstom pokrivača, uronjen u život autorice i njezinog supruga, stvara suvremenu umjetničku priču, no zastupa tradicionalne, kršćanske vrijednosti braka i obitelji. Jedan od najvažnijih aspekta je vidljiva manifestacija vjere u svakodnevici. Svaki oslikani prizor na platnu, kao i performans, daje naglasak na obične, svakodnevne trenutke. Duhovna osnova te ideje je prihvaćanje i radosno vršenje povjerenih dužnosti u datom trenutku, staležu, točno na mjestu na kojem jesi jer u tome je Božja volja i svetost života. The master thesis "Dota (Dowry)" is a depiction of a contemporary version of a dowry in the form of a symbolic representation of the intangible personal heritage that a woman, in this case, the author herself, brings into marriage. By carefully selecting photographs and painting scenes from the past, the author confronts memories, events, people, and places from her childhood, adolescence, and early youth. Through the process of painting, sewing, and assembling a unique quilt from numerous smaller painted patches, she creates an object of unique personal significance. In this way, the author connects with her family heritage, drawing strength from her roots to grow and create a new family branch. The quilt with sewn scenes from the past serves as a shield and a cover for the newly formed married couple. The warmth and intimate atmosphere create a safe and protected zone from prying eyes. The presentation of the work includes a performance in which the spouses peacefully lie under the "Dowry." The combination of traditional oil painting techniques with the unconventional context of the quilt, immersed in the life of the author and her husband, creates a contemporary artistic narrative while advocating traditional Christian values of marriage and family. One of the most important aspects is the visible manifestation of faith in everyday life. Each painted scene on the canvas, as well as the performance, emphasizes ordinary, everyday moments. The spiritual foundation of this idea is the acceptance and joyful fulfillment of entrusted duties in the given moment and class, exactly where you are, for in this lies God's will and the holiness of life

The effect of BodyPump and resistance training with and without a personal trainer on overweight and obese women
Avhandling (doktorgrad) - Norges idrettshøgskole, 2018Background: Individuals categorized as overweight (BMI ≥25.0 kg/m2) or obese (BMI ≥30.0 kg/m2) are currently recommended to perform resistance training 2-3 times a week (60-80% of the 1RM). Although resistance training can be conducted in many different ways and at different venues, many choose to exercise at a health- and fitness club, where you typically can choose between strengthening group sessions, resistance training with a personal trainer and non-supervised resistance training. BodyPump is worldwide a popular group session, prechoreographed and distributed by LesMills International. The session consists of approximately 10 music tracks, exercises for the whole body and 800-1000 repetitions with low to moderate loads (a 1.25 kg barbell, and weights of 0.5 kg, 1.0 kg and 5.0 kg).
Methods and aims: The main purpose of this thesis was to conduct an assessor blinded randomized controlled trial, to investigate different effects of BodyPump and traditional heavy load resistance training (linear periodization, 8-10, 13-15 and 3-6 repetitions) with and without a personal trainer on overweight and obese women after 12 weeks of exercise (3 times/week). A total of 143 women were included and randomly assigned to BodyPump (n=37), resistance training with a personal trainer (n=35), non-supervised resistance training (n=35) or nonexercising controls (n=36). In paper I, the effect of resistance training on muscle strength and body composition were assessed, and in paper II the effect on self-reported musculoskeletal pain. In paper III, within- and between group differences in resting metabolic rate in a subgroup of the participants were assessed, while in paper IV energy expenditure during a single session of BodyPump (n=10) was assessed and compared with a single session of heavy load resistance training (n=8).
Results and conclusion: Losses to follow up were 32%, 17%, 40% and 35% in the BodyPump group, personal trainer group, non-supervised group and control group, respectively. In paper I, the BodyPump group showed no effect on muscle strength or body composition. The personal trainer group increased significantly more in 1RM squat than all the other groups (p≤0.001), and significantly more than the BodyPump group and controls in bench press (p≤0.001). There was no between group changes in body composition. In paper II, the results showed no differences in self-reported musculoskeletal pain at baseline or post-test. In paper III, the resting metabolic rate increased similar in the two groups (p=0.660); 8.5% (±10.8) in the BodyPump group and 10.5% (± 10.4) in the heavy load group. In paper IV, energy expenditure was similar in the two groups (p=0.69); 302 kcal ±67 during BodyPump and 289 kcal ±69 during heavy load resistance training (paper IV).Paper I: Rustaden AM, Haakstad LAH, Paulsen G, Bø K.
