A Study on the Strength and Weakness of Bamboo-Based Enterprises in Nay Pyi Taw (Htet Htet Kyaw, 2025)
This study presents strength and weakness of bamboo-based enterprises in Nay
Pyi Taw, aiming evaluate strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats through a
SWOT framework and to identify their operational characteristics through value chain
mapping. It examines the entire value chain from raw material sourcing to market
distribution and explores potential for value addition and enterprise growth. A
qualitative and descriptive approach was adopted, combining secondary data with field
insights from a Union-level MSME exhibition, interviews with 20 stakeholders, and a
structured survey of 100 consumers. The analysis reveals a fragmented value chain led
by micro and small enterprises, constrained by limited raw materials, outdated
technology, and weak market access. Despite these challenges, the sector shows strong
potential through diversification and market expansion. The study recommends
targeted policy support, technology transfer, skill development, and stronger public-
private coordination to enhance sustainability and competitiveness of bamboo-based
enterprises in Nay Pyi Ta

A Study on the Health Awareness of Seasonal Influenza A (H1N1) Among Factory Workers (Case Study: Tatmadaw Garment Factory, Mingaladon Township) (Peter Myo Htet Kyaw @ Myo Htet Kyaw, 2025)
This study focuses on factory workers' knowledge, attitude, and practices
regarding seasonal influenza A (HINI). The objectives of the study are to assess the
level of awareness, attitude, and existing preventive practices among factory workers
and to examine the relationship between their sociocultural characteristics and
influenza prevention behaviors. A total of 138 workers from the Tatmadaw Garment
Factory in Mingaladon were randomly selected. The study employed an intervention
design with a one-group pre-and post-test approach and utilized a self-administered
structured questionnaire to collect data on the workers' socioeconomic characteristics,
knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) related to influenza prevention. The findings
reveal a significant improvement in knowledge, attitude, and preventive practices
following the health education intervention. Most respondents (93.5%) recognize that
influenza is caused by influenza viruses before the intervention, yet 27.5% believe after
the intervention that A (HINI) could be contracted by eating pork. Before the
intervention, only 15.2% had been vaccinated for the flu season, and misconceptions
regarding vaccination were prevalent. These findings indicate that health education
effectively enhanced workers' awareness and preventive practices regarding seasonal
influenza A (HINI). However, negative attitudes and vaccination practices remain
largely unchanged. Therefore, periodic health education programs and vaccination
campaigns should be implemented, particularly among vulnerable groups, to strengthen
preventive measure

According to descriptive statistics, army officers accepted that parental socialization, financial literacy and self-control influenced on saving behavior. And the influence of peer on saving behaviour is less likely to be agreed by respondents. Based on the multiple regression analysis, this study found that financial literacy, parental socialization and self-control have significant influences on saving behaviour. Among them, relationships with parents are the strongest on the army officers. This results show that parents is in a position to help the saving behaviour of their children. In practice, these findings can help retail bank to design effective strategy how to penetrate army officers. It also encourages policymakers to stimulate saving among army officers by improving their financial literacy. A Study of Accessibility and Perceptions on HIV Prevention Services Among Youth in Myanmar ( Kyaw Htet Paing, 2025)
This thesis explores the barriers to HIV testing and prevention services among youth in Myanmar, focusing on accessibility and perceptions. Despite national and international efforts, young people continue to face challenges in accessing essential HIV-related services due to factors such as stigma, discrimination, legal constraints, and lack of youth-friendly healthcare systems. Using a mixed-method approach, this study collected data through structured questionnaires from 400 youth participants (200 male, 200 female) residing in Yangon. The study explored the main influences shaping individuals' willingness to access HIV testing and counseling services, while also assessing their understanding and perceptions of HIV prevention. The findings revealed that while awareness of HIV is relatively high, several significant barriers continue to exist. These include social stigma, fear of discrimination, limited youth-specific services, and legal limitations affecting key populations. Cultural norms and peer influence also play crucial roles in shaping behaviors and perceptions. This thesis highlights the urgent need for policy changes and programmatic interventions aimed at improving accessibility, reducing stigma, and creating safe and inclusive environments for youth. Strengthening youth-centered education, healthcare services, and legal protections is essential for effective HIV prevention in Myanmar
