Рецензия на монографию Ю.А. Коноваловой "Россия-Индия: сотрудничество в XXI веке"
Get PDFReview is dedicated to the actual Monograph “Russia-India: cooperation in the XXI century”, that concerned the questions of the modern cooperation between Russian Federation and India Republic. It needs to underline the importance of such investigation due to the fact that it has the practical and theoretical significance not only for the educational process but for the process of implementation and development of Russian and Indian trade and economic cooperation. The Monograph covers key theoretical approaches to the developing countries, founded for the purpose to explain and understand backwardness of such countries. Some strategies were developed as the attempts to overcome such low level of development. The author proved that during the process of transition “from import replacement to export orientation” the government of India realized “unconventional” transfer of development from agriculture sector to service sector with the basis of the government power and industrialization. The author determined that the growing of India’s share in the international trade was based on development of fixed points that were revealed at the process of transition “from import replacement to export orientation”. The character of USSR-India cooperation was determined as an effective with the dominating of Indiadirectional vector. The author considered the key directions of Russia-India trade and economic cooperation at present time, and proposed some recommendations for the purpose of its development and improvement.Рецензия посвящена комплексной оценке монографии кандидата экономических наук, ассистента кафедры международных экономических отношений Экономического факультета Российского университета дружбы народов Ю.А. Коноваловой, посвященной исследованию российско-индийского торгово-экономического сотрудничества в условиях трансформации экономики Индийской Республики. Актуальность рецензируемой монографии исходит из привилегированного и стратегического значения партнеров друг для друга с учетом значительного плодотворного исторического опыта дипломатических и торгово-экономических отношений. Особое внимание уделяется теоретическим подходам к формированию концепции экономического развития Республики Индия, практическая реализация которых значительным образом трансформировала структуру ВВП страны, параллельно изменив товарную структуру внешней торговли Индии, также изменив структуру рынка труда страны, структуру спроса на образовательные ресурсы, оказав влияние на географию партнеров, позиционирование страны на мировой арене. Ключевую роль автор отводит степени и масштабам влияния СССР на формирование и развитие стратегических секторов экономики Индии. Кроме того, работа представляет собой законченное и самостоятельное исследование, в котором решена важная задача, состоящая в разработке перспективных направлений российско-индийского торгово-экономического сотрудничества, учитывающих ключевые особенности трансформации внешнеэкономического сектора экономики Индии, вызванные проводимой в стране индустриализацией

No full textPurpose: The purpose of this article is to illustrate China’s influence on global economy through data comparative analysis of national interdependence anditsrelationto especially the economic impact in time of a major event such as a new coronavirus. Design/methodology/approach: The author analyzes the impact of the epidemic on the Chinese economy and how it can be transmitted to other countries through the global industrial chain according to the proportion of China in the world economy. In this study, the author used literature analysis, statistical methods, inductive methods, and descriptive research methods. Findings: The author found through research thatin the era of globalization, each country’s economic operations and people’s lives are inseparable from other countries. The role of different countries in the international division of labor is becoming clearer. In the face of global disasters, such as this epidemic, when a country’s economy is affected, it will be transmitted to other countries through the global value chain in different ways. The method and the results of transmission will be affected by the different policies of each country. Originality/value: Globalization has both positive and negative effects on human beings. Overall, the author considers that positive effects are greater than negative. The author proposes that a mechanism for efficient collaboration and communication should be established between countries. This mechanism requires the country to be transparent in information disclosure and highly coordinated policy formulation. Through coordinated and joints efforts of all countries wecan minimize the impact of global supply chain disruptions

No full textThe research of energy component of the economic security of Ukraine became the purpose of the present article. To achieve the goal the author defines the threats and risks of energy security that affect the economic security and which emerged after the country has gained independence. It is assumed that the country’s energy dependence and high energy intensity of the economy are the main factors hindering economic development. Based on the current situation in Ukraine and attempts to secure revenues from the transit of Russian gas to Europe, a number of objective and subjective reasons of decrease of economic security due to the energy component were found.Целью настоящей статьи стало исследование энергетической составляющей экономической без- опасности Украины. Для достижения цели были определены угрозы и риски энергетической без- опасности, влияющие на экономическую безопасность, которые появились после приобретения страной независимости. Предполагается, что энергозависимость страны и высокая энергоем- кость экономики являются основными факторами, сдерживающими экономическое развитие. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
