Technological innovations in public administration require changes in the approach to the management of records produced by it. The beginning of establishing foundations for these changes can be found in creating new definitions of record and its characteristics as well as new theoretical views on context. The organization of records within record-keeping systems is primarily performed by using archival records and classification. In carrying out changes in record-keeping, cooperation with experts in information technology is necessary, who should particularly be sensitised to the problems connected with permanent preservation of electronic documents. It is mentioned in the paper that the Italian legislation has set the time limit for the automation of record-keeping in administration which is, with regard to the development of technology and the training of personnel, probably too short

Tips and hints for the transition: What adult hepatologists should know when accept teens with a pediatric hepatobiliary disease

    No full text
The number of children with chronic hepatobiliary disease surviving into adulthood is more and more increasing, but no established model of transition does exist in this category of patients. Here, we summarize medical problems expected at the time of their transition, and any impacts on morbidity and mortality in adulthood. Information provided would turn useful to adult hepatologists and practitioners responsible for ensuring continuity of care for young adults affected by diseases they are not usually accustomed to

    La consultabilità dei documenti

    No full text

SPH simulation of periodic wave breaking in the surf zone - A detailed fluid dynamic validation

    No full text
The estimation of wave breaking and run-up on sloped beaches is a relevant issue in different coastal engineering applications. The present study stresses on the capabilities of a Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) solver, with optimal numerical and physical parameters, to accurately simulate the complex flow field in the surf zone and run-up region. Numerical results are compared with high quality experimental measurements of the local flow field in terms of instantaneous and phase averaged values. The selected test case regards the propagation and breaking of regular non-linear waves on a smooth impermeable plane slope. The comparison is based on a complete set of 128 consecutive non-linear regular waves. The level of accuracy of the numerical results and the ability of the model to reproduce the periodic flow in the surf-zone is provided. Current limitations and uncertainty sources are identified and discussed to guide future developments
