No full textEn este PAP programa para mejoramiento de la calidad, productividad y logística en la industria regional I, se apoyó a la empresa Gruner de Guadalajara, México a dar consultorías a la empresa Amapex de Barcelona, España para el desarrollo de un producto biocontrolador basado en microorganismos específicos para viveristas productores de las plantas de viña (para los “Pépinières viticoles”).
En mi PAP anterior (programa de desarrollo tecnológico para la sustentabilidad ambiental energética y alimentaria I) se ayudó a una investigación dirigida por el Dr. Alejandro Arana sobre biocontrol.
En este PAP, parte del trabajo fue realizado en Barcelona para poder ofrecer mejor el servicio de Gruner y se ayudó con la investigación y a mejorar el protocolo experimental para el desarrollo del producto biocontrolador a Amapex. Se lograron reducir los costos experimentales y a disminuir tiempo en la investigación pero el producto no se terminó de desarrollar durante el periodo del PAP.ITESO, A.C

A distributed algorithm for computing a spanning tree in anonymous T-prime graphs
No full textA random-based distributed protocol for computing spanning trees in anonymous networks is presented. This cannot be achieved with deterministic (non-random) protocols. The distributed actuation of the protocol will succed if the network is representable as T-prime graph. Otherwise, the attempt may fail (though the probability of failure seems to be small in many practical cases). Based on some runtime experiments, the protocol's average message complexity is briefly discussed
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
