Nuove metodologie imprenditoriali incentrate sull’industria 4.0 e marketing digitale, digital transformation, agile organization e customer experience
Unveiling emotional reaction and satisfaction in e-learning with face tracking
This study explores the user experience (UX) of students on e-learning platforms, emphasizing emotional expression and satisfaction. It enhances existing research by applying usability tests and surveys to assess the emotional impact of online learning. The study’s novelty lies in its focus on emotional expression, which, along with cognitive issues and engagement, plays a vital role in shaping the quality of learning outcomes. It compares the effectiveness of a real-timeface and eye recognition method (MIORA) with a retrospective questionnaire (SAM) for measuring emotional responses. Results indicate that the real-time method is more accurate and reliable, capturing transient emotional states with machine learning. Unlike retrospective assessments, which are prone to memory biases, the real-time method provides immediate, objective data for dynamic understanding and instant feedback. These insights are crucial for improving e-learning platform design, enhancing user engagement, and enabling real-time adaptations, leading to more engaging and rewarding online learning environments
Emotional Analysis in Designing Tourism Experiences Through Neuromarketing Methods: The Role of Uncontrollable Variables and Atmosphere: A Preliminarily Study
The role of emotions in the tourist experience is becoming increasingly important in designing experiences to
guarantee maximum involvement and satisfaction for tourists/customers. Previous literature has shown how
atmosphere (e.g., visual, auditory, olfactory, tactile variables) may influence consumers’ satisfaction toward the
proposed tourist experience. However, in some offers (e.g., theatrical performances, theme parks, outdoor
experiences), such a relationship may be influenced by the role of “uncontrollable” variables, as for those variables
related to the weather condition. Though an experimental research design based on a neuromarketing tool
(face-coding), this paper is aimed to shed light on those variables in influencing consumers’ emotions, and thus
their satisfaction regarding their experience. More specifically, the study has been conducted by testing a
non-invasive emotional analysis tool able to associate in real-time the facial expressions of the participants with
the emotions captured during the performance (e.g., as for disgust, fright, anger, boredom, neutral, surprise,
happiness), as well as the emotional valence such as positivity or negativity of the emotion experienced. Results
enlighten the role of tourism atmosphere in positively influencing consumers’ emotions, and thus their satisfaction
also explaining the role of uncontrollable variable in magnifying such effect. Essential insights for marketers and
managers in designing tourism experiences are discussed
How relational capability can influence the success of business partnerships
The present article aims to investigate the quality of the relationships in a business partnership and the components that most influence them, with special attention to Relational Capabilities (RC). Dyadic relationships and mainly RC are considered critical factors for the success of a partnership.
The present article aims to investigate the quality of the relationships in a business partnership and the components that most influence them, with special attention to Relational Capabilities (RC). Dyadic relationships and mainly RC are considered critical factors for the success of a partnership.
The method adopted allowed for a clear identification of the criticalities of the partnership. The authors found evidence that poor RC lead to confusion, a sense of exclusion, and a lack of collaboration among members. Results confirmed that increased RC and aligning the allies’ capabilities positively affect the alliance's performance.
Exogenous variables influencing the partnership's progress were not included in the present study. Future research may consider them.
Limited prior research is available on collaboration between SME and start-ups. The present authors aim to investigate the topic further, investigating RCs between firms. The article is also a starting point for future case study comparisons
Student Performance in E-learning Systems. An Empirical Study
This research paper focuses on using a convolutional neural network to assess
student performance and addresses the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education.
It introduces a two-step system that combines robust Bayesian model averaging with a
frequentist approach for estimating parameters in a multinomial logistic regression model.
The authors provide an empirical example illustrating the application of this system in
analysing student performance. They also explore strategies to improve e-learning tools
by addressing technological factors. The paper contributes to educational evaluation and
policy analysis by incorporating deep learning systems and addressing the challenges
posed by the pandemic

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
