No full textIl volume si basa su una vasta gamma di fonti di archivi pubblici e privati, di diari e di memorie e, con l'ausilio di un ricco apparato fotografico su protagonisti, luoghi ed eventi, inquadra la guerra in un arco temporale che va dal ventennio fascista alle origini della Repubblica. L'obiettivo è rileggere questi difficili anni interrogandosi sul segno delle difficoltà incontrate dalle donne e sulle strategie di resistenza attuate, nonché scandagliare le forme di una memoria collettiva che ? valorizzando l'immagine della madre oblativa e quella del partigiano uomo in armi ? ha trascurato o dimenticato le tante aretine che si prodigarono in forme di solidarietà; provvidero durante il conflitto bellico alla salvaguardia di sé, dei propri cari e della comunità di appartenenza; dopo l'8 settembre parteciparono sia alla resistenza organizzata sia a quella civile e, infine, nel post-Liberazione, con il conseguimento del diritto al suffragio e la nascita delle associazioni femminili di massa, declinarono un nuovo paradigma della cittadinanza democratica
Location of 6-azonia-spiro- [5,5]-undecane molecules in ZSM-12 using X-ray synchrotron powder diffraction data
No full textHigh-silica ZSM-12 (MTW topology), synthesized with 6-azonia-spiro- (Rimer, 2018; Rimer, 2018) [5,5]-undecane as structure directing agent (SDA), was carefully characterized by using X-ray synchrotron powder diffraction. The structure refinement led to a monoclinic unit cell (space group Cc, Z = 4, a = 25.0814(13) Å, b = 15.0987(8) Å, c = 24.4419(17) Å, β = 107.844(6), V = 8810.8(8) Å3) with a three times enlargement of the unit cell along the b axis with respect to the calcined starting ZSM-12 (space group C2/c, Z = 1, a = 24.8633(3) Å, b = 5.01238(7) Å, c = 24.3275(7) Å, β = 107.7215(6)°). The SDAs conformation and position in the framework structure did not maintain the twofold axes coinciding with the crystallographic twofold axis thus changing the space group symmetry from C2/c to Cc. The structure refinement gave an extraframework content 6.13 SDA molecules per unit cell (corresponding to ~9.0 wt%) in good agreement with the weight loss given by the thermogravimetric analysis. The refined bond distances revealed the occurrence of non-bonding interactions of both azonia molecules with the MTW pore wall. AZO-1 and AZO-2 molecules are H-bonded between them thus forming clusters aligned along the b axis. This information is crucial to tailor the physicochemical properties of zeolites as well as to address their hydrophobicity, pore dimensions and cavities thus optimizing the selectivity of zeolite catalysts
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Design and Development of a Mobile Dapp for Mobile Crowdsensing over EVM-enabled Blockchains
Full text linkMobile crowdsensing (MCS) is a valuable approach for data collection via personal devices, however, it faces challenges in data security and reward to end users. Blockchain is considered a viable addition to MCS, though few real integrations of this kind are deployed. In this paper, we explore the integration of blockchain into MCS, highlighting benefits and architectural adaptation challenges. We then present a novel mobile distributed application (MDapp) that serves crowdsourcers, workers, and verifiers in managing campaigns, data contribution and validation, as well as in the reward process. We also provide a quantitative analysis across different blockchains to highlight the feasibility and economic considerations of this integration
Effect of the (Nd,Dy)-double doping on the structural properties of ceria
No full textThe crystallographic properties of the Ce1-x(Nd0.63Dy0.37)xO2-x/2 system (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.6) were studied by means of synchrotron powder X-ray diffraction and compared to the ones of Sm-doped ceria. The aim of this work was to investigate the effect of substituting Sm3+ by a mixture of a smaller and a larger ion that ensures a more pronounced Ce4+/dopant size mismatch while having the same average ionic size as Sm3+. Two main findings came to light: (a) the compositional region of the CeO2-based solid solution widens up to x ranging between 0.4 and 0.5, and (b) the cell parameter is larger than the one of Sm-doped ceria at each composition. Both effects are expected to play a significant role on the ionic conductivity of the material. The results are discussed in terms of disorder and cation-vacancy association

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
