Get PDFThe Benetton Foundation in Treviso preserves many archives created by families and individuals (writers, researchers, artists and artistic critics). The Foundation preserves private libraries too. As regards the institutional organization, the Foundation includes a Library, a photographic collection, a map collection and the archive. The author indicates hybrid characteristics of some archival and librarian materials, that cannot be preserved by using traditional archival-only or librarian methodologies. The experience on this special matter suggests some procedures an tools to increase preservation, knowledge and accessibility to this special cultural heritage. The author supports digital description an web techniques to improve the reference service provided by archivists and librarians, who manage these cultural goods

He focuses in particular on some examples documentaries that shows his method of work and organization of material, and on the large collection of books, where are included several documents that often complement the correspondence. Intervention of the author closes with a brief description of the initiatives promoted by the association “Casa di cultura Goffredo Parise”, aimed at understanding and studying the work of the writer in a context of strong tie between archives and territory

No full textThe author has been longtime occupied of family archives, the archives of “Casa Rosmini” in Rovereto and of the archives of a cultural institution always in Rovereto, the Accademia degli Agiati”. Through this work lasting several years, the author had a chance to analyze the several possible relationships among archives of family and archives of person either from the point of view of their nature and of the formation or from the point of view of the treatment method, emphasizing the importance to respect and valorize the family and private dimension. The author analyzes also the Archives of the Academy particularly concerning the series linked to the individual dimension of the members and he underlines the presence in both the archives of aggregate archives of people arrived as donation to attest the attraction role that these institutions have for the protection and the enhancement of the collection

Una parte di questa collezione libraria - la "prima biblioteca", personale e professionale - fu venduta da Camerino stesso alla Fondazione Querini Stampalia di Venezia, diretta al tempo da Manlio Dazzi, a seguito delle ristrettezze economiche causate dall'approvazione delle leggi razziali del 1938.
Una nuova raccolta fu ricostruita dal critico a partire dal 1945 e alimentata fino alla sua morte. Questa "seconda biblioteca" fu ceduta nel 1974 all' Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia, per volontà di Ginevra Vivante, vedova di Camerino

Donation of the fund gave rise to the constitution of the “Archivi contemporanei di storia politica” whose goal is to collect, by territory, archives of people and institutions of policy documents after the Second World War

Get PDFThe author approaches the protection of personal privacy in relation to documents consultability, retracing concisely the law. Having described the principles expressed in the DPR 1409/1963, she examines the content of the law on transparency of administrative procedure L. 241/1990 (amended and supplemented by L. 15/2005), and of law on the protection of personal data L. 675/1996 (revised by DL 196/2003), highlighting the changes introduced in the course of time concerning access to confidential documentation. Then she cites the code of ethics and good conduct for historical research approved in 2001(identified as the key document to guide the consultability documents), and the Cultural Heritage Code of 2004. After this brief overview, the author highlights the fundamental principles contained in the most recent directions in terms of time limit for access to confidential documentation, collection and processing of personal data, request for consultation in advance of confidential documents and difference between communication and circulation of data, extending her thoughts not only to public archives (state archives and historical archives of public bodies), but also to private archives of historical interest and undeclared. Get PDFThe author traces the history of “Casa Moretti”, house museum founded by testamentary bequest of Marino Moretti to the Cesenatico Municipality and that is a prime example of integrity of aa archive maintained at the place where it has been developed: next to manuscripts and correspondence there is the library of over 6000 volumes. Among the statutory roles of the institution, beyond the protection of the assets acquired there is that one of increasing the collection and organizing cultural activities. It has established a biennial prize titled to Moretti and is published the magazine “Archivi del Nuovo”
