Ucronia: alcune riflessioni storiografiche e educative
Uchronie refers to that kind of history based on the question 'what if' that nowadays shows a growing and widespread interest; an attitude that at the same time generates doubts especially in historians. The article, after defining its characteristics and underlining the critical points of such an approach to history, intends to explore the potentialities of an historiographical and didactic use of this virtual dynamic
La guerra è finita? 1918-1922: un dopoguerra senza pace
Nel novembre 1918 terminò ufficialmente il conflitto, ma non l’alta carica di conflittualità alimentata dai quattro anni di guerra, in cui aveva dominato il «dovere dell’odio». Il dopoguerra si caratterizzò, così, prima di tutto, come un difficile percorso per uscire dalla guerra; accompagnato da una presenza costante: una pervasiva violenza predicata, esaltata, praticata.
Su questo sfondo, l’articolo propone una focalizzazione sull’immediato primo dopoguerra (1918-1922), in cui si inserisce la vicenda delle barricate di Parma dell’agosto del 1922. Lo fa tratteggiando un quadro della ricerca – tra speranze e paure, disorientamenti e illusioni – di un nuovo ordine internazionale e di nuovi assetti politici, del delinearsi di nuovi protagonismi, delle tensioni/trasformazioni che investirono i costumi ed i rapporti sociali, generazionali e di genere.In November 1918 the conflict officially ended, but not the high level
of conflict fueled by the four years of war, in which the “duty of hatred”
was prevalent. The post-war period was thus characterized, first of all, as
a difficult path out of the war; accompanied by the constant presence of
a pervasive violence, a presence which was preached, exalted and practiced.
Considering this background, the article proposes a focus on the
immediate post-war period (1918-1922), that also comprehends the story of
the Parma barricades of August 1922. It does so by outlining the pursuit
(between hopes and fears, disorientations and illusions) of a new international
order and of new political structures together with the emergence of
new protagonists, of the tensions/transformations that affected customs and
social, generational and gender relationships
