Attività emergenziali svolte a seguito degli eventi sismici del Maggio 2012 in Veneto
No full textIn seguito agli eventi sismici del maggio 2012, l’Amministrazione centrale del Ministero dei Beni e le attività Culturali e gli uffici periferici che operano nelle regioni colpite dai fatti calamitosi hanno intrapreso le azioni ritenute più opportune e utili per la migliore salvaguardia del patrimonio culturale di rispettiva competenza. La Soprintendenza per i Beni Architettonici e Paesaggistici per le Provincie di Verona, Rovigo e Vicenza, che si è avvalsa del supporto tecnico del Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile, Edile e Ambientale dell’Università degli Studi di Padova, è stata particolarmente interessata dal problema data l’entità dei danni verificatisi, in particolare, agli edifici ecclesiastici nell’area dell’Alto Polesine nella provincia di Rovigo. Tutte le attività post-emergenza sono state svolte da squadre composte da tecnici della Sovrintendenza, da ingegneri strutturisti dell’Università esperti in ambito sismico, funzionari dei Vigili del Fuoco e, quando necessario, da una tecnico con competenza specifica sulla tipologia di beni culturali presenti nell’edificio. Nell’articolo verranno illustrate le varie fasi operative, i risultati delle attività di schedatura del danno dei beni rilevati e i relativi progetti di messa in sicurezza elaborati nei casi ritenuti più critici
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
