Influência de visitantes florais de Bertholletia excelsa Humb. & Bonpl. (Lecythidaceae), castanheira-do-Brasil, sobre o comportamento de forrageio de Xylocopa fronralis e Eulaema mocsaryi (Hymenoptera: Apidae).
Get PDFEste trabalho apresenta uma análise dos comportamentos de interação entre abelhas sociais e solitárias. Investiga-se o forrageio de Xylocopa frontalis (Xylocopini) e Eulaema mocsaryi (Euglossina) na presença de outros visitantes florais da castanheira-do-Brasil (Bertholletia excelsa: Lecythidaceae), na fazenda Aruanã, município de Itacoatiara, Amazonas. Descreve-se a influência que abelhas-semferrão (Meliponina), tripes e besouros exercem nas escolhas e permanências de X. frontalis e El. mocsaryi nas copas das castanheiras. Além disso, as abelhas-semferrão utilizam-se de uma variedade de estratégias para ter acesso aos grãos de pólen da castanheira-do-Brasil, sendo a coleta desse recurso possível à elas, principalmente, pela atividade dos polinizadores nas flores. As flores autoincompatíveis de B. excelsa necessitam da polinização cruzada, um serviço efetuado pelos polinizadores. Vinicius de Moraes, partners and friends: relationships between friendship and music
Get PDFThis study investigated the relationship between music and musical partnership in the work of Vinicius de Moraes. The friendship in adulthood has been investigated based on particular stages of development and gender. There are few studies correlating friendship and music, usually in childhood and adolescence. Based on the dialectical perspective of Robert Hinde on interpersonal relationships and the model proposed by Adams and Bliezsner regarding friendships among adults, this study aimed at analyzing the relationship between friendships and partnerships in the work of Vinicius de Moraes, in order to understand the relationship between interpersonal relationships and musical creation, with emphasis on four specific partners, such as Tom Jobim, Carlos Lyra, Baden Powell and Toquinho. The material for analysis were the lyrics of songs in partnership with the four authors above. In total, Vinicius de Moraes produced 44 songs with Tom Jobim, 39 with Baden Powell, 26 with Carlos Lyra and 75 with Toquinho. These compositions were subject to analysis of content and the songs composed with these four partners were compared for their content. The partnerships were treated as friendships, based on information available in historical documents such as letters and biographies. The results indicated different themes in these songs, as (a) the romantic love, (b) the woman, (c) values and lifestyles, (d) other relationships, (e) children's issues, (f) social and cultural issues, (g) music and dance, (h) human experience in a broader sense. These themes, whenever possible, were subdivided into subthemes to facilitate comparison between the partnerships. The relationships between the authors are considered as friendships having the shared interest in music as a central element. These friendships have different profiles. The paper still discusses the relationship between friendship and music, the contribution of the concept of cultural friendships, the relationship between friendships, cultural movements and culture, the possible contributions of studies of cultural friendships to understanding friendships in general, and the possibility of application of these data for education, through cultural clubs of friends.O presente trabalho investigou as relações entre música e parceria musical na obra de Vinicius de Moraes. A amizade na vida adulta tem sido investigada especialmente com base em fases do desenvolvimento e gênero. Poucos são os trabalhos relacionando amizade e música, geralmente voltados para a infância e adolescência. Partindo da perspectiva dialética de Robert Hinde sobre os relacionamentos interpessoais e do modelo proposto por Adams e Bliezsner, o presente trabalho tem por objetivo analisar as relações entre amizades e parcerias musicais na vida e obra de Vinicius de Moraes, buscando compreender a relação entre relacionamento interpessoal e criação musical, com ênfase em quatro parceiras específicas, Tom Jobim, Carlos Lyra, Baden Powell e Toquinho. O material de análise se constituiu das letras das composições em parceira com os quatro autores acima, sendo 44 com Tom Jobim, 39 com Baden Powel, 26 com Carlos Lyra e 75 com Toquinho. As letras em parceria com cada autor foram submetidas à análise de conteúdo e as composições das quatro parceiras foram comparadas quanto a seu conteúdo. As parcerias foram tratadas como relações de amizade, com base nas informações disponíveis em documentos históricos, como cartas e biografias. Os resultados indicaram diferentes temas presentes nessas composições, como (a) o amor romântico; (b) a mulher; (c) valores e estilos de vida; (d) outros relacionamentos; (e) temas infantis; (f) temas sócio-culturais; (g) música e dança, (h) a experiência humana em um sentido mais amplo. Os temas, quando possível, foram subdivididos em subtemas para facilitar a comparação entre as parcerias. As relações entre os autores são consideradas como amizades musicais tendo como elemento central o interesse compartilhado na música. Essas amizades apresentaram diferentes perfis. O trabalho discute as relações entre amizade e música, a contribuição da noção de amizades culturais, a relação entre amizades, movimentos culturais e cultura, as possíveis contribuições dos estudos de amizades culturais para as amizades em geral, além de possibilidade de aplicação dos dados obtidos para a educação, por meio dos círculos de amizades culturai

<p>Abstract. In last years have seen an increase in SaaS (Software as a Service) use. The development of multi-tenancy web ap- plication (one of the main ways to provide SaaS) increased considerably after the start of call “Web 2.0 Age”. This work presents an approach for implementation of a multi- tenancy SaaS application, and an architecture based on plu- gins and metaprogramming to achieve a high level software reuse. This approach is presented through an experience report described throughout the paper.</p

<p>Abstract. Since the first works involving software reuse, domain engineering is considered a key process to develop reusable and flexible software. However, the results have shown that there is still much to do before the vision of domain engineering is completely achieved. Among the reasons for this problem, we may highlight the lack of a process to support the design of domain-specific software architectures. This paper presents such an approach, based on a well defined set of principles, guidelines and metrics. We also present an experimental study that evaluated the viability of applying the approach in domain engineering projects.</p
Earthworms in central Amazonian primary and secondary forests and a polyculture forestry plantation.
No full textSpecies composition, abundance and biomass of these earthworms were determined in a polyculture forestry plantation (POA/C) and in plots of nearby secondary (SEC) and primary (FLO) forests in Amazonia. The earthworms were collected using the formol extraction method. In five collections, between July 1997 and June 1998, only seven species were found (mainly Glossoscolecidae). One peregrine species (Pontoscolex corethrurus) was found in the polyculture plot and another (Dichogaster bolaui, Octochaetidae) nearby. The abundance of earthworms in the three plots is low for tropical rain forest sites (<1 ind m-2 - 5.5 ind m-2 compared to 1 ind m-2 - 189 ind m-2) but biomass (up to 20g fresh weight per square meter) is among the highest numbers ever found in rain forests
