No full textLa técnica y el ser humano no son enemigos declarados ni irreconciliables; por lo menos en lo que atiende al pensamiento del filósofo español Juan David García Bacca. Históricamente, entre las dos realidades ha existido una correspondencia que ha alcanzado su verdadero papel y ha sido vista en su dimensión real en las filosofías de corte positivo y pragmático. En el caso del pensamiento de García Bacca, esta aparente contradicción entre humanismo y técnica se resuelve: la técnica no es más que una prolongación del ser humano, de hecho es el espacio de su realización; la muestra más clara de que el ser humano ha progresado en la historia y se acerca a su perfección. La técnica se perfecciona a través de la acción del ser humano, mientras éste, a través de ella, alcanza mayores logros intelectuales y teóricos, se define y define su lugar en el mundo

Arqueología del pastoreo en Serra do Suído: Comunidades, tiempo y espacio en el interior de Galicia a lo largo de los últimos siglos. Proyecto Arqgando: el tiempo en los paisajes ganaderos tradicionales de montaña, en Serra do Suído, parroquia de A Laxe, en Fornelos de Montes, Pontevedra. Financiado por Xunta de Galicia, Axencia Galega de Innovación. Programa de axudas á etapa posdoutoral. En colaboración económica y logística con Comunidade de Montes en man común de A Laxe. El primer objetivo del proyecto fue situar en el tiempo de qué cronologías son las estructuras ganaderas, de los diversos chozos que hay en la zona, y cuándo se crearon los paisajes ganaderos, que ahora están abandonados, pero que fueron muy importantes en su momento. Por otro lado, este año 2025 se realizaron sondeos en abrigos rocosos, para intentar ver ocupaciones medievales o anteriores. Y también se ha continuado registrando conjuntos de estructuras ganaderas, para excavarlas en el futuro.Peer reviewe

Full text linkProfessor David Reyes was a well-respected and much-beloved member of the Cal State LA English Department through the summer of 2014. He dedicated two decades to the department, first as a graduate student and then as a lecturer. He specialized in helping first-year students, especially those from underserved backgrounds, improve their writing skills and reach their academic and career goals. In keeping with David’s commitment to developing student writers, the Cal State LA English Department hosts an annual essay contest for students enrolled in ENGL 1005AB first-year writing courses. Each year, the English Department Composition Committee awards distinction to three essays demonstrating exemplary college-level writing. Text & Type congratulates the winners of the 2022 David Reyes Essay Contest: Letty Flores, “Queer Couples in Visual Media” (1st Place); Lauren Shane, “Taking Notes, the Write Way” (2nd Place); and Tupou Ulufonua, “Diversity and Representation in the Media” (3rd Place)
