TO THE QUESTION OF THE LEGAL APPROXIMATION BETWEEN THE EUROPEAN UNION AND THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

    No full text
The paper gives description of the process of convergence of norms of legal systems of the European Union and the Russian Federation — their approximation. The regulatory framework for this process is considered, and its development trends are also characterized. The author analyzes the essential elements of the approximation process, notes his unilateral nature in relation to the legal system of the Russian Federation, indicating that Russia has no opportunity to influence the EU rulemaking. The reasons that reduce effectiveness of the process of legal approximation of Russian law with law of the European Union are distinguished

Monetary and financial integration of states: Eurasian regional perspective

    No full text
One of the main trends of international relations between states is the process of regional integration, which is typical for every region of the world. As a part of the process there is a tendency of integration in financial sphere, particularly creation of monetary unions. The author analyses the main types of international monetary unions in the light of their usefulness for the developing Eurasian integration process. The paper also gives characteristics of the process of creation of international monetary union within the Eurasian Economic Union

Comparision of the discourses of the EU and the USA in the case of crisis resolution through the prism of liberalism

    No full text
The presented diploma thesis deals with the examination of the discourses of the European Union and the United States in the case of crisis resolution through the prism of liberalism. Using a controlled qualitative content analysis, the author of this thesis identifies the characteristics of liberalism in the documents of the United States and the European Union, which are related to crisis resolution. A total of three crises were selected: the war in Ukraine, the COVID-19 pandemic and the climate crisis. In addition to the content analysis, the work also uses an additional method of game theory, specifically the Prisoner's Dilemma, which is applied on the results of the content analysis. The whole work is premised on the theory of liberalism, specifically the ideas of John Ikenberry, whose theory this work verifies to a certain extent on practical examples. The results of this work indicate that since the US President Joe Biden took office in early 2021 the United States and the European Union both support the liberal order.Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá zkoumáním diskurzů Evropské unie a Spojených států v případě řešení krizí prizmatem liberalismu. Autorka této práce identifikuje pomocí řízené kvalitativní obsahové analýzy charakteristiky liberalismu v dokumentech Spojených států a Evropské unie, které se týkají řešení krizí. Vybrány byly celkem tři krize: válka na Ukrajině, pandemie covidu-19 a klimatická krize. Kromě obsahové analýzy využívá práce ještě doplňující metodu teorie her, konkrétně hru Vězňovo dilema, která je aplikována na výsledky obsahové analýzy. Celá práce vychází z teorie liberalismu, konkrétně myšlenek Johna Ikenberryho, jehož teorii tato práce do jisté míry ověřuje na praktických příkladech. Výsledky této práce naznačují, že od nástupu amerického prezidenta Joe Bidena do úřadu počátkem roku 2021 Spojené státy i Evropská unie podporují liberální řád

This master’s thesis describes the process of building consistent relationship in terms of education cooperation between two regions: European Union and Central Asia, both actors are interested in further developing of bilateral relations what shown in the list of Agreements and adopted documents of European Commission, National Offices of Programs Erasmus+ and Tempus. Starting from the aspiration of Central Asian countries to be included in Bologna Process in 1999 till present days’ sharing experiences and knowledge travel through the world effectively. Using the method of original empirical study with conducted qualitative, quantitative and mixed research. Thanks to gathered opinions of the conducted research – the survey and the interviews – the author was able to work with primary data from students and their insights were implemented in testing the efficiency of existing programs. In conclusion the benefits of long-term cooperation were estimated, and fruits of this cooperation is analyzed. Weak (1,1) estimates for multiple operator integrals and generalized absolute value functions

    No full text
Consider the generalized absolute value function defined by a(t) = | t| tn−1, t∈ ℝ, n∈ ℕ≥ 1. Further, consider the n-th order divided difference function a[n]: ℝn+1 → ℂ and let 1 < p1, …, pn < ∞ be such that ∑l=1npl−1=1. Let Spl denote the Schatten-von Neumann ideals and let S1,∞ denote the weak trace class ideal. We show that for any (n + 1)-tuple A of bounded self-adjoint operators the multiple operator integral Ta[n]A maps Sp1×⋯×Spn to S1,∞ boundedly with uniform bound in A. The same is true for the class of Cn+1-functions that outside the interval [−1, 1] equal a. In [CLPST16] it was proved that for a function {atf} in this class such boundedness of Tf[n]A from Sp1×⋯×Spn to S1 may fail, resolving a problem by V. Peller. This shows that the estimates in the current paper are optimal. The proof is based on a new reduction method for arbitrary multiple operator integrals of divided differences.Accepted author manuscriptAnalysi
