Giacomo Leopardi lettore di Plutarco
This paper deals with the different features of Plutarch's presence in Leopardi's poems and prose compositions. By examining mentions of Leopardi's studies on Plutarch, linguistic references and textual quotations from Vitae and Moralia the author shows that the poet had a comprehensive knowledge of Plutarch's works and he was deeply influenced by the ancied writer
La philia tra Moralia e Vitae
The paper explores the importance of the idea of philia in the whole corpus Plutarcheum. First the author gives a brief survey of the works, lost writings and fragments in which Plutarch deals with the theme. Then she draws attention on some passages from Moralia and VItae particularly significant to understand the meaning of philia in Plutarch's ethical-political thought, connected with the historical and cultural context
