Variación dialectal e identidad lingüística en la enseñanza de la lengua
Full text link"En este artículo se aborda la variación dialectal y la identidad lingüística en el ámbito educativo por medio de las percepciones de los docentes huaves de las cuatro variantes regionales: San Mateo, San Dionisio, San Francisco y Santa María del Mar. Se analizan y exponen las implicaciones de dichos componentes en la enseñanza de la lengua en el ámbito escolar. El estudio engloba una perspectiva cualitativa y los resultados muestran que las concepciones sobre la variación dialectal están mediadas por la identidad lingüística de los docentes. Asimismo, las discusiones en torno a la normalización del sistema de escritura refieren a la cuestión del o los alfabetos y de la representación de las grafías que la componen y esto repercute en la enseñanza de la lengua en el aula"

La lengua indígena en las escuelas ikoots: voces de sus actores
Full text linkEn esta colaboración se aborda una experiencia educativa sobre la lengua indígena ombeayiüts‘huave’ a partir de las voces de sus actores: profesorado y alumnado. La investigación se desarrolla en cuatro escuelas primarias del contexto de los ikoots‘huaves’, ubicadas en el Istmo de Tehuantepec, Oaxaca, México. El estudio se toca desde la perspectiva de la etnografía escolar, la cual busca mostrar el uso y presencia de la lengua en el ámbito escolar. Los resultados reflejan una heterogeneidad lingüística de la lengua ombeayiüts en la escuela y comunidad. En San Francisco y Santa María del Mar, el proceso de desplazamiento de la lengua lleva a que su presencia en el aula sea nula. En San Dionisio del Mar, la lengua oscila entre ser L1 y L2 en lo comunitario, pero en la escuela tampoco tiene mucha presencia, mientras que, en San Mateo del Mar, se mantiene como L1, lo que la convierte en el medio de comunicación en el aula y en la comunidad. Lo anterior lleva a considerar que la lengua como medio de enseñanza, en tres de las cuatro comunidades: San Francisco, Santa María y San Dionisio, es el español, únicamente en San Mateo, el ombeayiüts se mantiene como medio de comunicación, aunque, como enseñanza es limitada
Las lenguas indígenas en educación superior: Su atención y uso en la Escuela Normal Bilingüe e Intercultural de Oaxaca
Full text linkLa presencia de las lenguas indígenas en educación superior ha sido enmarcada entre las políticas lingüísticas y/o modelos educativos “del momento” y que, en ocasiones las han llevado a un contexto de aislamiento, abandono y la no visualización a través de pretensiones de incorporación. En la actualidad prevalece aún un doble discurso, por un lado, se celebra la diversidad cultural y se hacen constantes remembranzas de un pasado glorioso, pero, por el otro, se reniega de la riqueza de las culturas actuales, de sus lenguas y cosmovisiones presentes en muchos territorios, al identificarlas como limitantes para entrar de manera plena a la era de la economía global (Navarro Martínez, 2020). Por tal motivo, esta investigación de corte etnográfico, se centra en mostrar una experiencia sobre el uso y atención de las lenguas indígenas en educación superior a partir de la experiencia de la Escuela Normal Bilingüe e Intercultural de Oaxaca (ENBIO), como institución formadora de docentes bilingües procedentes de las 16 (reconocidas oficialmente) culturas originarias que coexisten en el territorio oaxaqueño. El estudio muestra que, el panorama educativo de la ENBIO se configura primordialmente a través de la cultura propia y el uso y presencia de las lenguas indígenas en sus escenarios de enseñanza y formación
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Full text linkWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
