    Futaki Invariant and CM Polarization

    No full text
This is an expository paper. We will discuss various formulations of Futaki invariant and its relation to the CM line bundle. We will discuss their connections to the K-energy. We will also include proof for certain known results which may not have been well presented or less accessible in the literature. We always assume that M is a compact Kahler manifold. By a polarization, we mean a positive line bundle L over M, then we call (M, L) a polarized manifold.EICPCI-S(ISTP)[email protected]

Artimpaza brevilineata Tian & Chen, 2012 in Tian, Chen & Li, 2012: 43, figs. 1–9. (Figs. 28a, b) Type locality: China, Yunnan, Pu’er City, Yutang. Gender: female. Date collected: 2011.V.25 (2010.V.25, in the original description, is incorrect). Collector: Li-Chao TIAN & Gui-Qiang HUANG. Paratypes: 1 female, China, Yunnan, Lincang City, 1980.VI.1, Fen LIU leg. Remarks: In the original description, the type locality is “ Yunnan, Jinghong” while it is “ Yunnan, Yutang” according to the label. “Yutang” is actually in Pu’er, not Jinghong. The first author described the type locality by mistake. In the original description, the collector was only listed as Li-Chao TIAN, which was a mistake.Published as part of Li, Zhu & Chen, Li, 2020, Primary types of longhorned beetles (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae, Vesperidae and Disteniidae) of Southwest University (SWU), pp. 25-46 in Zootaxa 4718 (1) on page 33, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4718.1.2, http://zenodo.org/record/360220

Antiferromagnetic correlation in the half-filled strongly correlated electron models at nonzero temperature: A rigorous result

    No full text
As an extension of our previous rigorous investigation on the spin correlations in the ground states of the half-filled Hubbard model and the periodic Anderson model [G. S. Tian, Phys. Rev. B 50, 6246 (1994)], in the present paper we study the behavior of these correlation functions at finite temperature. We show rigorously that, at any T not equal0, the predominant spin correlations in these systems are antiferromagnetic. Furthermore, based on this result, we also show that a quasi-one (or two)-dimensional itinerant electron ferrimagnet must have a gapless branch of ferromagnetic excitations. This conclusion is consistent with the previous results derived by the spin-wave theory.http://gateway.webofknowledge.com/gateway/Gateway.cgi?GWVersion=2&SrcApp=PARTNER_APP&SrcAuth=LinksAMR&KeyUT=WOS:000169283000058&DestLinkType=FullRecord&DestApp=ALL_WOS&UsrCustomerID=8e1609b174ce4e31116a60747a720701Physics, Condensed MatterSCI(E)10ARTICLE22null6

Water Supply and Usage in Central Asia, Tian Shan Basin

    No full text
The paper focuses on analysis of Central Asian hydro-energetic system and water usage in Tian Shan region. Tian Shan system is important water resource in Central Asia: mountains river waters are intensely taken for hydropower energy, urban systems, irrigation. But geopolitics in Tian Shan is difficult: it crosses five densely populated countries. Current problem consists in water delivery between territories located in the highlands with excellent water supply and those located in valleys with water shortage. Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan control river basins, and Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan depend on water supply. The problem of water use causes debates among these countries. Besides, climate warming affects glaciers and causes water deficit. Altogether, this leads to difficulties in hydro-energetics. A multidisciplinary analysis was performed in research: geopolitical problems of water supply in Tian Shan, spatial distribution of hydro-energetic resources and climate impact on hydro-energetics.isbn: 978-86-88601-05-4.
