Soil-pile-structure interaction evidences from scaled 1-g model
No full textThe seismic soil-pile-structure interaction (SPSI) is a complex mechanism that is usually considered formed by the combination of kinematic and inertial interaction. Both mechanisms generate additional forces on the system related to the stiffness contrast between the soil and the foundation for the kinematic interaction and to the soil response around the foundation due to the inertial contribution of the superstructure for the so-called inertial interaction. While the mechanism of each of these contributions is clear, their combination is still under investigation due to number of parameters involved (i.e. dynamic characteristics of both system and input). An effective way to study this combination is the analysis of actual data on real structures. Due to the fact that these data are hard to find, usually the response of physical scaled models on 1-g and n-g devices are investigated. In this connection, this paper presents some results from an extensive 1-g shaking table testing activity. The scaled physical model is formed by a group of five piles embedded in a by-layer deposit of dry sands with an oscillator connected to the piles through different kind of foundation systems. More specifically, the attention is focused on both pile and structural response when the oscillator is connected to a small group of three piles by means of a stiff foundation. Ai soggetti coinvolti è stata somministrata l'Adult Attachment Interview per la valutazione dello stato mentale relativo all'attaccamento. I dati evidenziano una stretta connessione tra le patologie alimentari e la elevata proporzione di attaccamento insicuro nel gruppo studiato; tali dati appaioni in linea con quanto emerso da molteplici ricercha nazionali e internazionali sul tema di cui gli autori forniscono una rassegna

No full textLa progettazione dell’identità dei territori è un processo complesso che non può essere limitato alla definizione di un brand e di una strategia di comunicazione di successo. Occorre un monitoraggio continuo delle dinamiche evolutive del territorio e un confronto con gli stakeholder e i fruitori per risintonizzare il rapporto tra aspettative, sistema di offerta e grado di soddisfazione. Più che di place branding si potrebbe parlare di place doing come processo integrato e coerente di azioni territoriali e di comunicazione.
L’esperienza della mostra “Lombardies. A unique territory with multiple identities” è stata un’occasione di riflessione e di racconto delle identità plurali di un territorio ampio, di comunicazione delle tendenze emergenti e delle opportunità di sviluppo, oltre che di confronto con un pubblico internazionale ed eterogeneo.Place identity design is a complex process that can not be limited to defining a successful brand and communication strategy. It should be continuous monitoring of the evolutionary dynamics of the territory and a dialogue with stakeholders and the users to re-tune the relationship between expectations, supply system and degree of satisfaction. More than place branding we could speak of place doing as an integrated and coherent process of territorial and communication actions. The experience of the exhibition “Lombardies. A unique territory with multiple identities” was an opportunity for reflection and narrative of plural identities of a large territory, communication of emerging trends and development opportunities, as well as comparison with an international and diverse audience
