    Komitmen organisasional adalah suatu sikap atau keinginan kuat dari karyawan untuk tetap menjadi anggota dalam organisasi tertentu dan kesediaan bekerja keras demi tercapainya tujuan dan kelangsungan organisasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh stres kerja terhadap komitmen organisasional dan kepuasan kerja, pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap komitmen organisasional, serta peran kepuasan kerja dalam memediasi pengaruh stres kerja terhadap komitmen organisasional. Penelitian dilakukan di The Grand Santhi Hote denganl 50 sampel, menggunakan sampling jenuh. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan stres kerja berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasional, stres kerja berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap komitmen organiasional, serta kepuasan kerja mampu memediasi stres kerja terhadap komitmen organisasional. Perusahaan perlu memperhatikan beban kerja dan kapasitas kerja karyawannya sehingga dapat mengurangi stres kerja dan melakukan evaluasi terhadap gaji yang diberikan kepada karyawan agar sesuai dengan beban pekerjaannya sehingga dapat meningkatkan komitmen organisasinya.     DETERMINATION OF HISTAMINE LEVELS IN COMMERCIAL CANNED TUNA

    Abstract: Tuna species are the large group of important fishes that belong to the Scombridae family, covers more than 50 different species, are significant in supplying a global market. Tuna widely consumed worldwide as fresh or canned. Considering that tuna fish, like other scombroid fish, is commonly associated with cases and outbreaks Histamine Food Poisoning (HFP). Histamine is identified by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a major chemical hazard of seafood products. The aim of the present study was to search and review the findings from the scientific published literature studies focusing on determination of histamine levels in commercial canned tuna. The results of the data search, remaining 11 articles were suitable in this review. The histamine levels in canned tuna were determined in this study by using ELISA, HPLC or a rapid test method. Samples of commercial canned tuna from different countries were analysed and found to have histamine levels that were within the acceptable range. Histamine level that is considered to be permissible in fish and fishery products differs by country. In the United States (US), a histamine level of 50 mg/ kg is considered indicative of fish spoilage, while the European Union (EU) has established an acceptable histamine level of 200 mg/ kg for fish belonging to the Scombridae, Clupeidae, Engraulidae, Coryphaenidae, Pomatomidae, and Scomberesocidae families.     SYSTEMATIC REVIEW: BLOOD GLUCOSE CONCENTRATION DETERMINED FROM VENOUS AND CAPILLARY BLOOD SAMPLE

    Abstract: Glucose can be measured as venous plasma or capillary whole blood. Capillary blood is more often used than venous blood in testing blood glucose concentration. Comparison of glucose concentration obtained from capillary blood and venous plasma blood is a wide topic of discussion, it varies the test result. The aim of the present study was to search and review the findings from the scientific published literature studies focusing on blood glucose concentration determined from venous and capillary blood sample. Of the 195 articles retrieved, in the final stage of the eligibility assessment, the remaining 7 studies were included in this review. The data obtained are in the form of descriptive analysis by narrating findings of scientific articles which are then arranged systematically and according to each topic discussed so that a conclusion is obtained that represents the entire content of the review. A good correlation between venous and capillary blood glucose resulted from this review. Although glucometers are useful, caution must be exercised in accepting the results in emergency hypoglycemic and hyperglycemia condition. Clinicians should always correlate the blood glucose reading in glucometers with the clinical findings in taking their management decisions.     Migration to 4 G: Mobile IP based Solutions

    Fourth Generation (4G) is the next generation of wireless networks that will replace third Generation (3G) networks sometimes in future. 4G is intended to provide high speed, high capacity, low cost per bit, IP based services for video, data and Voice (VoIP).4G is all about an integrated, global network that’s based on an open system approach. At the moment we have several technologies each capable of performing some of the functions like broadband data access in mobile or nomadic environments, supporting voice traffic using voice over IP (VoIP) etc. But what we really need is a deployment of new technologies that allow merging, bridging and integrating all these separate systems into an information delivery system of the twenty first century. The emerging IEEE 802.16 BWA technology WiMAX (World wide interoperability for Microwave Access) allows interoperability and combines the benefits that other wireless networking technologies offer individually and leads a path towards 4G and become the 4G wireless technology in the future. The 4G/WiMAX spectrum will be used for voice, video and data-- all considered broadband wireless access (BWA) applications. This paper will evaluate the potential of WiMAX as 4G technology, provide a very strong comparison between WiMAX and Wi-Fi IP based technologies, deployment of various architectures like (i) Wi-Fi / WiMAX (Wi-Fi with WiMAX can be called as migration path to 4G when both are viewed as complementary to one another [5]), (ii) Mobile WiMAX that can provide users with connectivity wherever they are and deliver the promise of 4G. 1

    Signs and symbols of socio-religious power: battle of Kurukshetra bas-relief at Angkor Wat

    My thesis will be focusing on a bas-relief in the ancient Khmer temple of Angkor Wat in Cambodia, depicting the battle of Kurukshetra from the Hindu epic poem Mahabharata. The significance of this one relief is that it is the only scene from the poem visually represented, while prominent scenes from another equally important epic poem Ramayana are represented. Why would King Suryavarman II, who commissioned the temple's construction, be so selective in choosing which scenes from Hindu mythology to visually depict? Was there a larger message he was trying to convey through the depiction of these myths? Why was Ramayana more popular than Mahabharata and what could the social and religious factors be? By analyzing this bas-relief, I hope to present a better understanding of the Khmer's interpretation of not only the battle but how did its symbolism fit into the larger narrative of Khmer cultural and religious identity

    An M/G/1 Retrial Queue with Single Working Vacation

    We consider an M=G=1 retrial queue with general retrial times and single working vacation. During the working vacation period, customers can be served at a lower rate. Both service times in a vacation period and in a service period are generally distributed random variables. Using supplementary variable method we obtain the probability generating function for the number of customers and the average number of customers in the orbit. Furthermore, we carry out the waiting time distribution and some special cases of interest are discussed. Finally, some numerical results are presented

    In spring of 2021, the Society on NeuroImmune Pharmacology (SNIP) organized a virtual workshop on the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The daylong event’s fourth and final symposium, “Well-being and reflections,” offered a glimpse at the pandemic’s impact on the lives of our scientists and educators. This manuscript includes a brief summary of the symposium, a transcription of our incoming president Dr. Santosh Kumar’s lecture, titled “Intervention and improved well-being of basic science researchers during the COVID-19 era: a case study,” and the panel discussion that followed, “Reflection and sharing,” featuring Drs. Jean M. Bidlack, Sylvia Fitting, Santhi Gorantla, Maria Cecilia G. Marcondes, Loyda M. Melendez, and Ilker K. Sariyer. The conclusion of this manuscript includes comments from SNIP’s president Dr. Sulie L. Chang and our Chief Editor, Dr. Howard E. Gendelman. Drs.     RNA Editing at Baseline and Following Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress.

    RNA sequences are expected to be identical to the DNA template. However, some RNA processing steps, such as RNA editing, can lead to differences in the RNA sequence that affect the fate of the RNA transcripts or the resultant proteins. My thesis focuses on the regulation of the canonical A-to-G editing and non-canonical RNA-DNA sequence Differences (RDD). My work contributed to the identification of RDDs throughout the human transcriptome. We identified all 12 types of single base differences across multiple individuals and various tissue types. We also detected peptides matching the RDD-encoded sequences suggesting that RDDs are translated into proteins. In subsequent work, we found that the non-canonical RDDs are found in nascent RNA. Through the use of nuclear run-on assays, we found that RDD occurs within seconds of exiting the RNA polymerase complex. Chapters 4 and 5 discuss my study of canonical A-to-G editing mediated by Adenosine Deaminase Acting on RNA (ADAR). First, we found that A-to-G editing levels differ across individuals. I searched for and identified genetic variants whose alleles are associated with editing levels of sites in the same gene. These data demonstrate that ADAR editing is cis regulated and can lead to individual variability in editing levels. Furthermore, by utilizing individual variability in editing and studying the relationship between editing sites, I learned how ADAR edits multiple sites in a given transcript. My data support a model where ADAR edits multiple sites along one side of a double-stranded RNA structure. To learn about the biological significance of RNA editing, I focused on endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. I found that editing levels change following ER stress suggesting that these RNA processing steps play a role in the ER stress response. Together, this work sheds light on the regulation of RNA editing and RDDs in the human transcriptome and aids in the understanding of how these processes may play a role in cellular response to stress.PhDHuman GeneticsUniversity of Michigan, Horace H.
