Designing a robotic arm worm gear
Diplomsko delo predstavlja potek dimenzioniranja polžnega gonila. Na podlagi znanih dimenzij robotske roke smo izračunali reakcije in upore, ki se pojavljajo pri skrajnih obremenitvah sistema med delovanjem. Nato smo na podlagi dobljenih rezultatov določili potrebno moč motorja in se lotili izračuna osnovnih veličin polžnega para, kot prvo, izračuna geometrijskih veličin, da bo velikostno ustrezal prostoru, ki ga imamo na voljo. Pri dimenzioniranju geometrijskih lastnostni smo med drugim izhajali iz zahteve po samozapornosti sistema. Izračunali smo tudi izgube moči in nosilnost polžnega para. Na koncu smo preverili še varnost proti jamičenju, glede na dobo trajanja zobniškega para.Diploma thesis deals with all the necessary steps which are fundamental prior designing worm gear. We calculated and predicted the reactions and resistances on the basis of the known dimensions of the robotic arm that occur during the extreme system load during operation. Further on we determined the required power of the motor and began to calculate the basic quantities of the worm gear components which includes motor housing dimensions in order to correspond to the size that we have available. Among other things one of the requested criteria was a self-locking system which we have taken into account while dimensioning all of the components. We also calculated and predicted the system efficiency and the load capacity of worm gear pair. Final calculations included safety measures against pitting regarding predicted life time of the gears
Optimization of Reservoir Storages on the Savinja River
V sklopu priprave Državnega prostorskega načrta, je izdelan Idejni projekt poplavne varnosti na območju Spodnje Savinjske doline. Za zagotavljanje poplavne varnosti, so predvideni suhi zadrževalniki na reki Savinji in Bolski. Magistrska naloga obravnava optimizacijo suhih zadrževalnikov na Savinji. Na osnovi potrebnih prostornin zadržane poplavne vode, da ta ne ogroža območij ob Savinji dolvodno od pritoka Bolske, je predlagana nova zasnova in umestitev v prostor. Namesto predvidenih osmih zadrževalnikov, magistrsko delo obravnava en večji zadrževalnik z imenom Šempeter. Zadrževalnik Šempeter je razdeljen na štiri dele, ki so med seboj funkcijsko povezani. Predstavljena je ideja, da je en del trajno ojezerjen, ki se ga lahko izkoristi v namene namakanja, rekreacije ali energetskega izkoriščanja. S programom SAGA GIS, je določena vodna bilanca zadrževalnikov pri različnih kotah zajezitve. Za različne kote zajezitve so predstavljene potrebne količine zemeljskega materiala za gradnjo nasipov. Za posamezni zadrževalnik so detajlneje prikazane umestitve v prostor, potrebni infrastrukturni posegi in dejanska raba zemljišč. Na osnovi vtočnega hidrograma, so določene gladine posameznega zadrževalnika v odvisnosti od trajanja poplavnega vala. Vtočni in iztočni objekti, so dimenzionirani po principu, eno polje je blokirano (n-1). V zaključku so podane ugotovitve in primerjave z Idejnim projektom zagotavljanja poplavne varnosti v Spodnji Savinjski dolini.In the context of the National Spatial Plan, the Preliminary design Flood safety in the Lower Savinjska Valley is in progress. Flood protection is provided by dry reservoirs on the Savinja and Bolska River. Master thesis deals with the optimization of dry reservoirs on Savinja River. Based on the required volumes of retained water that does not threaten areas along the Savinja River downstream from the inflow Bolska, is proposed new design and placement in space. Instead estimated eight reservoirs, master\u27s thesis deals with one bigger, named Šempeter. The Reservoir Šempeter is divided into four parts, which are functionally connected. One is permanently dammed, which can be exploited for purposes of irrigation, recreation or energy utilization. Water balance reservoir is determined with Saga Gis Program. The different heights of the dam presented the necessary quantities of natural materials for the construction of levees. For each reservoir the details of placements in space are shown, necessary infrastructural developments and actual land use. Based on the intake hydrograph, levels of each reservoir are presented as a function of the duration of the flood wave. The intake and outlet structures are dimensioned according to the principle, one field is blocked (n-1). In conclusion, we introduced the findings and comparison with the Preliminary design ensuring flood safety in the Lower Savinjska valley

Building-physical and sanitary-tehnical analysis of the selected object
The purpose of the graduation thesis is to carry out building – physical and sanitary – technical assessment of the selected building. Indicators that are important for solving energy problems and concern for the health and comfort of people in the living and working environment are calculated and presented in the graduation thesis. In the graduation thesis is detail presented the legislation of individual areas. Calculations are done in accordance with the methodology set out in the legal acts. Data for the calculation of individual parameters are obtained from the project documentation for the selected object. Calculated results are compared with the values specified in the project documentation. Imperfections of the building are determined and made recommendations to the building - physical and sanitary - technical perspective. Object imperfections mainly occur in the field of noise transmission through construction and certain parameters of building physics
Antioxidative potential of germinated rye
Zaradi številnih pozitivnih učinkov na zmanjševanje pojava kroničnih bolezni, se antioksidantivnemu potencialu (AOP) živil daje vedno večji pomen. V okviru diplomskega dela smo želeli preučiti vpliv procesa kaljenja na vsebnost fenolnih spojin in AOP rženih (Secale cereale) zrn. Za pripravo ekstraktov fenolnih spojin smo uporabili metanol. Tako vsebnost fenolih spojin kot AOP smo določali spektrofotometrično, in sicer z uporabo Folin-Ciocalteu-jevega reagenta in DPPH• radikala. Vsebnost fenolnih spojin smo izrazili kot ekvivalent ferulne kisline (FK) na g suhe snovi (mg FK/g SS), AOP pa kot ekvivalent troloksa na g suhe snovi (mg troloks/g SS). Rezultati so pokazali, da v analiziranih ekstraktih s časom kaljenja naraščata tako koncentracija fenolnih spojin kot AOP, prvi opaznejši dvig smo opazili 72 ur po začetku namakanja. Ugotovili smo močno pozitivno korelacijo med vsebnostjo fenolnih spojin in AOP kaljene rži. Maksimalno vsebnost fenolnih spojin in antioksidantov v rženih zrnih smo določili po 96 urah biološke aktivacije, ko je vsebnost fenolnih spojin znašala (3,5 ± 0,2) mg FK/g SS, vrednost AOP pa (1,41 ± 0,03) mg troloks/ g SS. Kaljenje zrn je tako vodilo v 3,5-kratno povečanje količine skupnih fenolnih spojin in 3,7-kratno izboljšanje AOP v zgolj štirih dneh. Zaradi izkazanih lastnosti je takšna semena moč uporabiti pri proizvodnji funkcionalnih živil.Antioxidant potential (AOP) of foods is becoming increasingly important due to its many positive effects on reduced incidence of chronic disease. Within the diploma thesis we wanted to study the influence of the germination on the phenolic compounds content and the AOP of rye ( Secale cereale) seeds. Methanol was used to prepare extracts of phenolic compounds. The content of phenolic compounds and the antioxidant potential were determined spectrophotometrically using the Folin-Ciocalteu reagent and the DPPH• radical. The content of phenolic compounds was expressed as ferulic acid equivalent (FK) per g of dry weight (mg FK/g DW), meawhile AOP was expressed as the trolox equivalent per g of dry weight (mg trollox/g DW). The results showed that the concentration of phenolic compounds and AOP increased with the germination timethe first noticeable increase was observed 72 hours after steeping of the seeds. We have established a strong positive correlation between the content of phenolic compounds and AOP of germinated rye. The maximum content of phenolic compounds and antioxidants in rye grains was determined after 96 hours of biological activation when content of phenolic compounds amounted to (3,5 ± 0,2) mg FK/g DW, and the AOP value reached (1,41 ± 0,03) mg of trolox/g DW. The amounts of total phenolic compounds increased 3,5-fold, while germination of the rye seeds resulted in a 3,7-fold increase in AOP in only four days. Because of the properties shown, such seeds can be used in the production of functional foods
The haunted public sphere: women and the power of emotion in the works of Alexander Kluge and the films of the Berlin School
My dissertation sheds light on the German filmmaker and author Alexander Kluge and his ideas on filmmaking as they evolved out of his conception of the public versus the private spheres since the early 1960s. It was Kluge’s contention that personal experiences of war and violence could not be expressed publicly in the postwar Federal Republic, causing a rift between the two realms and a haunting presence of trauma within individuals and society as a whole. What Kluge, in cooperation with Oskar Negt, called “alternative public sphere” in Public Sphere and Experience (1972) and History and Obstinacy (1981) is closely linked to Woman and so-called “proletarian” forces countering instrumental reason and the bourgeois cultural matrix. Analyzing four crucial films from Kluge’s creative work, I outline the increasingly allegorical role of his concept of “female mode of production,” which constitutes Kluge’s aesthetics and thematic focus. How the ideas of “alternative public sphere” and “female mode of production” are linked to the cinema and Kluge’s theory of film is the focus of another chapter that scrutinizes Kluge’s recent literary compilation Cinema Stories (2007). Finally, I read a selection of contemporary German films considered the new filmic avant-garde through the lens of Kluge’s approach to film, to the “female mode of production,” and to the public sphere. This allows me to compare the ethics, the formal and political attitude of the so-called Berlin School directors to the vanguard movement of Young German Film in the sixties and early seventies. I conclude that the filmic Autoren today deal with a similar problem as Alexander Kluge has done throughout his career, namely the dissociation of personal, lived experience from public representation. They also employ formal and thematic strategies that can be related to the thoughts behind the Oberhausen generation of German filmmakers. While the generation of the leftist student movements sought public recognition of the atrocities committed under National Socialism, the Berlin School directors deal with mediated experience in times of media and finance corporatism as virtual realities threaten to take over the empiric world.Ph. Hyperplasia of antral G cells in uraemic patients
In this study we have performed a quantitative analysis of antral gastrin cells in 9 uraemic patients under dialytic treatment compared to a group of 10 chronic gastritis patients with a similar histological degree of gastritis. Immunocytochemistry was carried out on endoscopic biopsies of both groups. Using a computerised image analysing system we showed a significant increase of G-cell density (number of cells/mm2) in uraemic patients compared to non-uraemics (p less than 0.001). These findings provide a further morphological basis for the elevation of gastrin levels in chronic uraemic patients, suggesting the existence of a specific factor inducing G-cell proliferation in these patients
