Generating stable modular graphs
No full textAbstractWe present and prove the correctness of the program boundary, whose sources are available at http://people.sissa.it/~maggiolo/boundary/. Given two natural numbers g and n satisfying 2g+n−2>0, the program generates all genus g stable graphs with nunordered marked points. Each such graph determines the topological type of a nodal stable curve of arithmetic genus g with n unordered marked points. Our motivation comes from the fact that the boundary of the moduli space of stable genus g, n-pointed curves can be stratified by taking loci of curves of a fixed topological type

At first, the thesis briefly summarizes the evolution of the Dominican literature and mentions its most significant figures. Secondly, it deals with the evolution of the dominicaness from the colonial period up to the present and explains the reasons of the rooted antihaitianism. The second part consists of a detailed analysis of the novels The Diffuse Biography of Sombra Castañeda and The Accordion Man by Marcio Veloz Maggiolo, emphasizing the symbols of the official government's discourse, and also a more opened perspective of the dominicaness

Factorial Structure of the Emotional Beliefs Questionnaire: Testing Measurement Invariance and Competitive Models
No full textThe role of metacognitive beliefs towards positive and negative emotions has been stressed by several theoretical models. The Emotion Belief Questionnaire (EBQ) has been developed to assess these metacognitive beliefs. We administrated the Italian version of the EBQ, the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS), the DERS-Positive and the short form of the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21) to a sample of Italian adults. (N = 516). Structural Equation Modelling testing the factorial structure of EBQ evidenced a good fit in the four-factor model compared to the three-factor model and model with two second order variables. The EBQ showed invariance across sex, and significant associations with validating variables. These results demonstrate the goodness of the four-factor structure for the EBQ and support its use for assessment of metacognition beliefs towards emotions
HBIM METHODOLOGY AS A BRIDGE BETWEEN ITALY AND ARGENTINA
No full textThe availability of efficient HBIM workflows could represent a very important change towards a more efficient management of the historical real estate. The present work shows how to obtain accurate and reliable information of heritage buildings through reality capture and 3D modelling to support restoration purposes or knowledge-based applications. Two cases studies metaphorically joint Italy with Argentina. The research article explains the workflows applied at the Palazzo Ferretti at Ancona and the Manzana Histórica de la Universidad National del Litoral, providing a constructive comparison and blending technological and theoretical approaches. In a bottom-up process, the assessment of two cases study validates a workflow allowing the achievement of a useful and proper data enrichment of each HBIM model. Another key aspect is the Level of Development (LOD) evaluation of both models: different ranges and scales are defined in America (100–500) and in Italy (A–G), nevertheless is possible to obtain standard shared procedures, enabling facilitation of HBIM development and diffusion in operating workflows
An Intermediate Language for Stochastic Simulation of Biological Systems
No full textWe introduce Stochastic String MultiSet Rewriting (sSMSR), and propose this formalism as an intermediate language for the simulation of biomolecular systems. Higher level formalisms for biological systems description can be translated into sSMSR, and the features of sSMSR allow the development of efficient simulators. In this paper, we show the encoding into sSMSR of two formalisms for the description of biological systems, namely Stochastic CLS and the Stochastic π-calculus.
