After recalling some concepts from “L’amour du Nom”, an essay on love lyricism and poetry, the author presents “Deslumbramientos” -his own translation of «Éblouissements» –as well as some concepts of the Brodian poetics: the link between poetry and language, the role of the horror and the unnameable, the ethical dimension of poetry, the illumination of the other... This article ends with 7 poems by Broda and their translation into Spanish by Veyrat.L’auteur présente la poète et essayiste française Martine Broda. No full textConstruction of a vessel (shipbuilding) is a very complex project, not only from technical
point of view but also from legal and financial point of view. Every shipbuilding project
involves a number of areas of law (civil law, maritime law, corporate law, law of financing,
insurance law) and different governing laws (law of contract, law of the vessel’s flag, law
governing insurances, governing law of supply contracts, classification rules, international
laws and conventions). The author writes about certain legal aspects of shipbuilding and
delivery of a vessel taking into consideration Croatian and English legal aspects of shipbuilding
in Croatian and international shipyards. Although the topic is very complex, the author
is setting out some of the most essential provisions of a shipbuilding contract, fundamental
rights and obligations of the contract parties, effects of breaches of contractual obligations,
legal aspects of vessel’s delivery, the role of classification societies.Autor iznosi neke pravne aspekte gradnje i isporuke broda, osvrćući se pri tome ne samo
na neke aspekte hrvatskoga prava, već i na prisustvo engleskoga prava u ugovorima o
gradnji broda kako hrvatskih, tako i svjetskih brodogradilišta. Mada se radi o izuzetno
složenoj pravnoj problematici, autor nastoji približiti neke od bitnih odredaba ugovora
o gradnji broda, temeljna prava i obveze ugovornih strana, posljedice neispunjenja ugovornih
obveza, pravne aspekte isporuke broda, ulogu klasifikacijskih društava

A Solution to a Problem of Popper
No full textPopper's logical systems were an attempt to "reform the teaching of elementary logic", but were regarded by their own author as "bad and ill-fated". However, the problem raised by Popper was, and still is, a real one. In fact we show that the popular approaches in terms of natural deduction and analytic tableaux are unsatisfactory. Then we present a system of classical logic which combines the virtues of both and can be generalized to a wide range of non-classical logics

Hydrogen Bond-Mediated Conjugates Involving Lanthanide Diphthalocyanines and Trifluoroacetic Acid (Lnpc2@TFA): Structure, Photoactivity, and Stability
No full textThe interaction between lanthanide diphthalocyanine complexes, LnPc2 (Ln = Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Yb, Lu; Pc = C32H16N8, phthalocyanine ligand) and trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) was investigated in benzene, and the stability of the resulting molecular system was assessed based on spectral (UV-Vis) and kinetic measurements. Structural Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations provided interesting data regarding the nature of the bonding and allowed estimating the interaction energy between the LnPc2 and TFA species. Conjugates are created between the LnPc2 and TFA molecules via hydrogen bonds of moderate strength (>N∙∙H··) at the meso- -bridges of the Pc moieties, which renders the sandwich system to flatten. Attachment of TFA is followed by rearrangement of electronic density within the chromophore system of the macrocycles manifested in considerable changes in their UV-Vis spectra and consequently the color of the studied solutions (from green to orange). The LnPc2@TFA conjugates including Nd, Sm, Eu, and Gd appeared evidently less photostable when exposed to UV radiation than the related mother compounds, whereas in the case of Yb and Lu derivatives some TFA-prompted stabilizing effect was noticed. The conjugates displayed the capacity for singlet oxygen generation in contrast to the LnPc2s itself. Photon upconversion through sensitized triplet-triplet annihilation was demonstrated by the TFA conjugates of Nd, Sm, Eu, and Gd
