Medición del grado de pobreza en el Ejido Narigua Mpio de G. Cepeda, Coah.
No full text"Pobreza es una situación de marginación producto del tipo de desarrollo regional que se impulsa en el país. En general, las políticas implementadas han sido encaminadas a fortalecer el sector industrial de la iniciativa privada y han dejado en otro plano el apoyo efectivo a los campesinos. Esta investigación consiste en hacer un ejercicio de medición de la pobreza en una comunidad del Estado de Coahuila. A la vez compara los resultados
obtenidos, con los elaborados por el Gobierno del Estado de San Luis sobre "Indicadores de Marginación" , "Índices de Marginación" y "Grado de Marginación", para un municipio de ese Estado en condiciones generales similares al área de este estudio. Se utilizaron datos censales de 1990 y datos obtenidos de una encuesta de la comunidad en 1997 para calcular los indicadores de marginación y el método de componentes principales para calcular índices. Los resultados fueron los siguientes: comparando G. Cepeda, con Vanegas, S.L.P., con datos de 1990, el resultado del estudio del gobierno de S.L.P. da para la cabecera de Vanegas un índice de 32.9810; al clasificar esta cifra se establece como grado de marginación "bajo". En nuestro caso para la cabecera de G. Cepeda el grado de marginación queda calificado como "bajo" (15.05). Los municipios dan los siguientes resultados: G. Cepeda 38.4655 su grado es "bajo"; Vanegas 81.0245, un grado "medio" de marginación. Ahora para el ejido Narigua y su anexo El Mogote el grado de marginación en 1990 se calificó como "medio" con índice de 46.2893. Es de resaltar que para 1997, la situación de la comunidad mejoró, avanzando a un grado de marginación "bajo (38.8178).""Poverty, is a situation that keep many mexicans away from the progress, this condition is due to the government policies. In general, the policies have been implemented to strengthen the private industry and have left without an appropriate support to the peasant. This research is a measurement of the poverty in a community of Coahuila, State. At the same time, the research compares it's results with the results
obtained by the government of San Luis Potosí State about "percentages of poverty" in a community in that State in similar condictions of this study. It Was used census data from 1990 and data obtained from a poli made in the community in 1997 to calculate the percentages. The results were the following: comparing General Cepeda, with Vanegas San Luis Potosí with data of 1990, the result of government S.L.P. show that for the head of Vanegas an index of 32.9810 to calculate this cipher it's estalish as grade of poverty "low". in our case for the head of General cepeda poverty grade it' s qualified as "low" (15.05). The results municipalities were the following: G. Cepeda 38.4655 a grade "low"; Vanegas 81.0245, a grade "medium" of poverty. Now for the community and your annex El Mogote the grade of poverty in 1990 it' s qualified as "medium" with índice de 46.2893. Is to stand that for 1997, the situation of the community improved, avancing to a grade of poverty "low" (38.8178).
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
